I had come to this UPS location Sunday 4/16/23 normally I go to the other location further down 3miles but it was closed that day. I had no idea this location existed until I googled it. I was returning some shoes I bought from Amazon that were too small. The only sales associate working at UPS was Mar. As I entered 2 other customers were ahead of me. The guy who was before me had a few boxes to return but told Mar he can go ahead and help me since I only had one. Mar was very kind and professional and assisted me to email them my return barcode label. I got in and out very quickly even though Mar was all by himself he was amazing! I would recommend having another sales associate to work with him since it tend to get super busy and I felt bad he was all by himself as customers kept coming. I will come back to this UPS now that I know it exists plus had a great employee working and it is a lot closer to my home. read more

Struck out twice. I went in to get a passport photo, early to avoid the noontime rush and was told the person who does the photo comes in later. Ok so a few days later I come in get my photo taken, (I also hoped to be able to send it off), The guy say he'll be just a minute. I wait and wait, I'm thinking maybe he's gone into a darkroom to develop it or something. I ask the other lady, is there an issue? The whole thing takes about a half hour. They have an issue so no passport photo, and a big waste of time. read more

Rudest a**hole staff. I was told I had to pay for the one document I was sending to my grandfather and the cover letter. No problem. My grandfather signed what he needed and sent the paper back. They then proceeded to charge me twice for the one document because they printed it out differently plus that cover letter. I told him I don't need that cover letter, you gave it to me... he then said what do I need it for and got rude. He said it's just a dollar and rolled his eye... yeah it may have been but I already had paid for it, and an extra print of the same document that I didn't even need! I know I wrote a novel, but I'm genuinely bummed. First, I'd like to say that I too work with the public in retail at CVS pharmacy, and I know very well the outlandish, ridiculous complaints from customers. I treat others in retail with much respect because it's a tough job. But this experience at UPS (out of other good ones at this location). genuinely hurt my heart. I graduate in 3 days with my pharmacy degree - a four year doctorate that took over my life with stress, all-nighters, and lot's of tears. I'm finally done, and I went to this UPS for the momentous occasion to submit my app to the Board of Pharmacy. All communication to/from the BOP is through snail mail. No emails. No phones. Just months of waiting. If your app isn't perfect, one letter missing, it's denied, you're notified by mail only, time is wasted, I can't apply for jobs, I can't make money, etc. You can read this ridiculousness on CA BOP website for yourself. Amy (name on receipt) was full of sass with anything I asked. She put my name and return address on the cardboard outside envelope, but I asked her to put one on the manila envelope going inside that's holding my papers so that it was identifiable. She said we normally don't do that, it's already on the outside, but I guess I can print you another label. Like it's that hard.... She said you're all set...Then forcefully shoves and crumples the manilla envelope into the cardboard envelope... Then drops it all onto the floor. I stayed to make sure it was re-assembled right, but she says you can go. This envelope is my future career! I kept telling her that this letter is very important to me, but all she could say was a bitter "ok" to anything I said. Lastly, I accidentally left my phone on the counter - 100% my fault. I faintly heard her say is this your phone as I walk out the door, but I assumed she was talking to the next customer. When I got to my car and couldn't find my $1000 iphone, I realized she was talking to me. I went back, and it was sitting on the counter exposed for anyone to take. She didn't put it behind the counter. But all that aside, she didn't even walk after me or raise her voice to ask again if this was my phone. She just let me leave. Amy has no work ethic or human compassion. We all work hard at our jobs, we all hate our jobs at times, but suck it up and learn empathy. read more

I have been trying to return a package that was incorrectly delivered. I have done exactly what they said (tracking number listed, sender listed, leave it on my porch). After 3 days, my package is still here. There is almost $3000.00 worth of equipment inside and I do not want to leave it there overnight, so I go in and out everyday. I needed to print something up fast. They had a computer I could log into for only $1 for 5 minutes. I was able to log on, make copies for $.09 each and pay in less than 5 minutes. Much faster than when I have had to swipe my debit card and log in at the Fed Ex store. I got out of there fast and for less than $2. Parking is terrible in that shopping center. I recommend not parking right in front of the store because backing out is scary. PSA make sure you log out correctly and/or remove your name from computer. I saw a long list of other gmail users who had used the computer before me. read more

It seems when a UPS store recieves a request to redeliver they send it and this store doesnt do a single thing to help with it. As Maziar M. Told people in these reviews "We are all individually owned" which translates to "Im not willing to help you. Come pick up your package despite you not being in town and the delivery driver lying when my retired parents were home all day on the day if delivery. 5 days ago i recieved i formation that my package would be requested for redelivery." On the 7th i recieved an update in my tracking that my package was at 4225 oceanside blvd. Theres a 7 day policy on holding. According to the tracking details my package has been there a single day. If you cannot tell, my call was not plesent and this man decided he couldnt help me before i even explained everything. I am sure he will search my name and make and immediate argument as per all these reviews that end up negative. He doesnt seem to realize his job isnt just "come get your stuff." Or "we can ship it." Its customer service... helping the customers not just with what your store provides but what is capable... like SENDING OUT A PACKAGE SCHEDULED FOR REDELIVERY! But instead, like that driver that has been reported from the San Marcos Distribution center, I've decided to review and report this interaction with the better bussiness bureau along with my transcript of our voice conversation. Once again, there was no attempt to help this situation. He simply didn't want to do anything for me since i was upset. Not cursing, not insulting the man. A special thanks to everyone at the UPS store, Especially Annette and Mar. I had something very important that I needed to print and then send. After my wife sent the file she noticed that it would not ready until the next day. I rushed to the store just in case. Annette was able to find my documents for me and they were already ready. In my rush to get them sent off as quickly as possible, I forgot to sign the documents. The store was about to close and I was trying to contain a 3 year old, and I just forgot. I went back to my car and they locked the doors and started closing up for the night. Then I remembered that I hadn't signed my papers. I rushed back to the store. They opened the doors for me, and help me get my envelope open. I signed my documents and they helped me to tape my envelope closed again. My nearly impossible task, turned out ok. I had previously been to the Postal Annex and they wanted way more money and were not able to print my assignment from my memory card. This was no problem at the UPS store. Printers, being computer literate has nothing to do with the poor service you and your other team member provided. You were not helpful and thus spoke In very low tone voice which I probably need a hearing device just to decode the mumbling. Providing such tools and saying that your business has rent and bills to pay for such usage is something every customers realizes when walking into any establishment...as an owner to use that excuse for the reason why you charge an outrageous amount for such small detail is a very poor answer in my eyes. If it's a big deal, why won't you just get rid of it and print out the label at the front desk? It would sure help eliminate the confusion that me and my friend faced that day and as sure as everyone else who's been in there, and it would give you practice to connect and build a better relationships with your customers and maybe hopefully not see an honest low star review like mine :) Just looking out for you buddy. I recently moved to PA and shipped a box of items from this store and another box from the store in Carlsbad off El Camino Real-super friendly and helpful btw! The woman who's always at the counter transposed a 2 for a 7 in my address so now the box is back at a UPS Center. I was thrown off by a few things that I didn't catch her mistake. Yes it's a mistake but how could you also stand there and tell me that there's no room to put a security code when the Carlsbad store was able to no problem? I am a small business owner located in a large industrial complex. I use recycled boxes that other businesses threw away in a recycle bin for saving the environment. The new UPS label came off and exposed the original label 1Z3Y1W570321511563, so the box was sent to this UPS location by mistake. I talked to Mazi explain the situation then follow up with an older gentlemen. He not only told me that my mistake caused a problem to others (which I apologies profusely) and should never ever use a recycled box again, and when I come pick up my box to bring a $5 bill. unintentionally mistake happens (once in my 23 years).
