But then, even though I was the only customer in the store on a slow quiet morning, the rep did not want to assist me. She directed me to the self-checkout kiosk. She could see that I was struggling to scan a big, heavy package by myself, and the whole process took longer than what could have been a very simple scan for a printed receipt. I don't understand why people choose to work in customer service if it's such a big inconvenience to help customers, treating the customer like they're a nuisance for walking in the store.
