I rarely leave bad reviews, but I do so if an owner or manager of a business is intentionally being rude / hostile, or if the experience is horrendous and said people don't try to fix it, and don't seem to care. - I have 30 years of customer service experience: retail, restaurant, grocery, and my own business. I've worked in almost every position from dishwasher to owner/manager. I'm literally a customer service expert. - I look grungy today (hat, hoodie, jeans and sneaks), because I'm mostly working from home & just running a few quick errands. I'm guessing that I was treated the way that I was, because I didn't look important enough to matter to the employee (who might have been the manager since his name tag looked different than the first employee's), but I didn't stick around long enough to find out. - If I have an Amazon return, I'll typically go to the Kohl's or one of the UPS stores near me in Olathe (where they are super friendly and helpful). The few times I've used UPS, I've printed off my own label and attached it, as the instructions say, so I have zero experience as to what to expect if I ask them to print it off for me. Actual experience: I left my house with something I needed to return to Amazon, before I had actually done the return online. I was in South OP / Leawood area, and since the Amazon choices included UPS, it said $0, and there was one right around the corner, I chose that. I went into the UPS Store off 135th & Metcalf, and told the first employee that I had an Amazon return, and that I didn't have a copy of the return label, and asked if I could email it and they'd be able to quickly print it off for me. He said, "Sure. Send it to this address", pointed to a label, and didn't say a word about it costing $. The other employee goes to a PC and asks if it's my name, and then says, "Your print is coming out right behind you". I was surprised that it was coming out of a huge printer behind me in the store, as I don't use UPS for anything other than shipping. I put the piece of paper down on top of the box I brought in, said thank you, and started to walk away. He said, "That'll be $1..." (whatever change, I didn't hear because he said it quietly and I was already 10' away). I turned back and asked, "I'm sorry, what"? He then repeated the price, and said, "You have to pay for prints". I then started to try to have a conversation with him, but he immediately began interrupting me and talking over me. My sentences below are what I was trying to say, but each time he cut me off after only 3-4 words. - Me: "I didn't know you were going to charge to print off the Amazon label, as it says free on Amazon". - Him: "We are a printing store, we charge for prints". - Me: "I'm not doing a printing order, I just asked him if he could print the label off for me, and he said yes and didn't say anything about $". - Him: "If you don't want to pay for prints, you shouldn't come to a printing store and ask for prints". - Me: "I didn't. I'm not "here for prints", I'm returning this. I usually return at Kohls and..." - Him: "We are not Kohls, they are a retail store. We are UPS, we are a printing store". - Me: "Can you please stop interrupting me..." - Him: keeps interrupting and starts rambling on about various "printing store" things. - Me: "Can you please stop talking over me. I'm trying to have a conversation with you". - He just keeps on going and starts talking louder so I can't be heard. - Me: "never mind, this is ridiculous", and I pick up my box and started walking out. From 10' behind me, as I'm already by the door, he says, "If you don't want to pay, you can get out"! The hostility and rudeness was beyond what I've experienced in a long time. I don't know if he was having a bad day, if someone else had been rude to him so he was taking it out on me, if he's annoyed with being an Amazon return location and chose to take it out on me, or what. But, you don't ever treat people that way for no reason, especially if you are in a customer service position. I will definitely not use that location again! read more

This UPS location is not only convenient but very clean and well kept, went in to take care of some payments and pick up some packages after being gone for a while and Michael helped with everything, really sad to be moving since Michael at this location is such an outstanding worker and always super friendly and positive. Know your prices before going in if you are shipping something. I was totally ripped off. I went in with my package to ship. Owner lady offered only UPS pricing- 3 day residential. Price was over $70 to ship box that weighed 8 pounds. I asked for lowest way to ship--no hurry for my box to get there. Nope-that's the price, owner lady said. I took my box and went home. Look at USPS online-$23.00. FOLKS--this place only ships UPS . I asked for lowest price and was not given it. Know your prices before going in and you won't get ripped off. I won't be going back here if I need anything shipped. read more

If I can give a minus star, I definitely will do it. Went to drop off an amazon return package in this location. I didn't print it out, as UPS can scan it and print off for me last night. The associate named Taylor told me I can print it off from their computer without telling me that will be a charge. After I printed it off and told me $1.18 for the label. I thought they are joking to me, they said it is on computer. I said you never told me there is a charge. I am rush into the store before they closed. How you expect people will spend time to read the screen. THIS IS HOW THEY DO BUSINESS. Did not give customer a heads up that will be a fee. read more

I frequently use this UPS store. An employee rudely harassed me for my two well-behaved children under the legal age limit were not wearing masks. Then he stopped helping me by walking away and I had to ask him for my change from the transaction. read more

I have brought in some projects that required kid gloves and patience, and while it was a small project and I am a 'small' client, their standards and practices + patience are excellent. The store on 151st completely messed up a print job of 300 flyers! These flyers are for small business owners! The UPS stores is a complete joke. The first time: they did not even print my order, they told me to use the online site. Second time: Used the online site: Printed the flyers without the details on the flyers. They didn't know why there was a print error. I should used the email and not the print site. Third time: they cut and pasted the detail information from one flyer to all the other flyers. Which is completely wrong! I was in rush to get my kid to and from sports, I did not check the details! I did not think to triple check a professional company's work. They told me they specialize in printing. Specialize in HOT MESS work! Very disappointed the Manager and the Owner are unavailable until Monday. No one at store level is capable for doing anything. I have had to return AT&T equipment a couple different times as well as ship regular things at this UPS store. Every single person in this store is sooo helpful and kind. In fact while I was there today, a gentleman came in telling them the ATT store sent him there to return direct tv equipment (Att owns direct Tv now apparently). UPS has not been given contract to handle this, but the manager of this store, said she thought she had a phone number and proceeded to help this customer figure out how to return equipment. ATT didn't even help him! If you need any services, this is your place! read more

The UPS store mixed up the labels at Christmas time. By the time they figured it out it was a week after Christmas. I have never had any problems at this store until then. Beau called and was figuring out the issue. He was very nice and was trying to help both sides. I couldn't do anything to help since the packages were out of state. I guess they decided that Beau was not accomplishing what he needed to and Sean stepped in to give me a call. I explained that I could not do anything for them- they need to call the person I had sent the items to. Sean then got aggressive and threatening. Said he would get the authorities involved and accused my daughter of stealing gifts that were not hers. This was their mistake -and she did not have anything to do with it. I will not go back and I will let everyone know of my experience. Sean has the worst customer service skills. He should have left it to Beau to handle. read more
