Be careful if the manager. She is dismissive and rude and takes ZERO time to figure out what a customer actually needs. I went To pick up a package and was dismissed by this manager lady. She was not interested in giving me any other options and took a phone call for 7 minutes and told the other workers :"I don't know what he wants but I don't have his package ". What I want is help to locate the package or some communication as to how to get to the package. What I don't want is abuse by a small business. You're better off in a fight with knives. We observed absolute overflow of customers after the Eaton Fire and every employee treated everyone with respect and patience, even when they did not receive it in return. I was just there not too long ago, the African American (sorry I didn't get his name) guy was really nice and friendly. However, I witnessed the Asian chubby guy speaking to him in a very condescending manner. It made me feel uncomfortable, and he looked kind of bummed if he's training, I understand he's going to make mistakes, but speaking to him in a condescending tone is unacceptable. He's a person and should be treated with respect, I don't understand what made the chubby Asian guy think that his behavior towards him was ok. Yesterday I had to ship something that absolutely had be delivered within two days. The first price I was given was very high, but I expected that given the rush. As the associate, Rick, was ringing up my order he had an idea of another way to ship my package (in a smaller box) that would be less expensive. It was! Significantly! Went to return an item from Amazon and the old guy told me it would cost $2.13 to print my return label. I told him I've never been charged to print a return label he said yes they always are supposed to. I look at the receipt and there's a $2 charge for computer rental and the charge for 8 x 11 copy. That's ridiculous. I googled if this is a normal thing and Amazon says that printing a return label is supposed to be at no cost to me. $2 is nothing but lying to your customer is bad service and bad business. I have had several crappy experiences at this location. For starters, something as basic as a greeting when "assisting" a customer is always lacking. Overall lousy attitudes and idiotic stares. Most of the staff here makes sure they display that they're quite irritated when doing THEIR job. I didn't get the name of the guy who I had to deal with last time, but he had a heavy build, wore glasses and had a lisp. Was wearing a huge watch with a lot of bracelets. Can't miss him. I've been to this UPS Store many times for Amazon drop-offs, plus notary and shipping services. Until today, my experiences were uneventful and satisfactory. I'm still scratching my head trying to understand why I was treated so rudely by one staff member this afternoon. He was very unprofessional from the second he acknowledged my presence to my departure. I always say thank you when someone provides good service, as I would expect to be thanked for bringing them my business. I got no hello, no thank you, just a snarky remark. Horrrrrrrrrible customer service! They wouldn't release my package to my husband because he and I don't have the same last name. He went there with the pick up slip and they still didn't give it to him. The manager did not care and was so rude to me over the phone. I asked if I can text my photo ID to my husband and you can see it that way and release my package. I work late everyday and wont make it to pick up the package, so he said that's fine we'll send your package back to the sender!! SO Rude!!!!!!! They take their jobs WAY more serious than it really is, you aren't working for the TSA please relax! I called UPS to verify if the information he was giving me was true and accurate, and UPS said they should release it to your husband as long as he has the tracking slip that was left.
