The worst customer service I have ever experienced. In June, a friend delivered an Angel Cremation Urn to them for the "Pack and Ship Guarantee" and overnight shipping. Cost was not a factor - we would have paid anything to get the urn to us safely in time for the funeral. For $220, it did arrive on the day (not the time) promised, but not only was the box smashed flat, but the packaging inside was completely insufficient to protect any kind of statue or art: a little bubble wrap taped around the statue and some brown paper in the box. Not nearly enough to cushion the statue. The urn arrived 2 days before the service with the head broken off and a big break in the base. I filed a claim with UPS, and after 3 weeks was told they were waiting on paperwork from The UPS Store in Petoskey. I went to the store with photos of the damage and the claim. Not ONCE did the managers express any kind of sympathy or apologize that the urn was broken. All they did was to repeat that it wasn't their fault, and that UPS corporate would pay the claim. One manager wouldn't even look me in the eye. Things get damaged during shipping, that is why there is insurance. But first, the employees of THIS store should have done a better job packing the statue, or recommending an upgrade to their "standard" packing when they saw what the item was, and second, they could have shown some humanity and recognized that no matter what, UPS is at fault and apologized and expressed sympathy. You know, basic human decency. Hopefully they will follow up with "corporate" and get the correct paperwork filed. The ball is in their court. read more

I absolutely love this UPS store. It's in a very convenient location in Saline. And the staff is always friendly, cheerful and so helpful. The owners are also the nicest and hard working, and most helpful people. My husband uses this UPS for multiple needs for his construction business, and has had really good results with all the printing, faxes, copies, banners, convenient P.O. Box mail for personal business etc etc. And highly recommended me to stop in, especially since I'm always online shopping and ordering and returning items. I have used this UPS store for it's convenient notary stamp services, "overnighting" custom dessert to aunt in Florida, and many many more helpful services! read more

My wife and I often ship items by UPS - sometimes packages that we are sending to others, and sometimes items that we are returning to Amazon (due to wrong size, color, or whatever) - and have ALWAYS received wonderful service with a smile. However, the service that we received on Thursday - when returning a couple items to Amazon - was so exceptional that I feel compelled to go online to offer my heartfelt thanks and appreciation! The gentleman that assisted us was Tony. As I explained to Tony, while I am not tech-phobic, I am definitely tech-incompetent! Generally, my wife, who is much better at such things, handles any returns. I am, at least, generally able to handle simple mailings. However, when my wife and I came into the store, even she was at a loss as to how to proceed, as she could not figure out how to find and print up the mailing labels for the two items from separate shipments that we were returning to Amazon. Using my wife's cellphones, Tony had the required labels printed up within a minute or two, and had the packages taped and ready to be returned. And, before we even got home to Cross Village, we had already received notice from Amazon that the returns had been credited to our account. As you will see from above, I have given the UPS store "5 Stars"; but, in fairness to Tony, I feel compelled to give him an extra star, so am awarding him an off-the-chart "6 Stars". To say that I was impressed, would be a gross understatement. And, he was equally as friendly as he was helpful - not a combination that one runs into as often as one might hope. As I also mentioned to Tony, most people only call or write to complain about particularly poor service - which I also do when the situation requires it to protect other potential customers - but never call or write to reward great service. I am writing to complement Tony for the service that he provided us. It made my day! Again, everyone at this store deserves a vote of thanks as well. John Patterson P.S.: After finishing my review of this store, and of Tony in particular, I went through the other reviews and discovered that there was at least one other person at the store that deserved a big compliment: whoever does the hiring at this location! Almost all of the reviews received the maximum score of "5 Stars", and several other employees there received votes of appreciation similar to those that I gave to Tony in my review - including Erik, Ryane, Nathan, and Benjamin. If that many employees receive outstanding reviews, whoever does the hiring deserves a fantastic review as well. Of course, there are always the naysayers, and somewhat humorously, the two "1 Star" reviewers were diametrically opposed - with one complaining that they weren't required to wear a mask for protecting the public from COVID, while the other complaining because they were told to wear a mask. This place seems to be the only ups store for miles around. It's usually crowded but they move people through. Today I showed up to drop something off 10 minutes past closing and the guy opened up and took my items. It was really helpful to me because I live 40 mins away and the returns were due soon. read more

So it's my last day work went in place bag on shelf he weight it. To my surprise dam my bags heavy. He measure and got dimension and was able to box it. Price was right. Absolute crap. Wasted my time going to these people. Use FedEx. I came here with a package with a certified weight from the Federal Government. This place came up with weight considerably different. UPS sent an overnight PARCEL to Pennsylvania instead of Michigan. instead of trying to fix their mistake, they notify you that since a mistake occurred it will take even longer to get your package. Unfortunately this package had a check in it to save my Mothers home from foreclosure. She has developed dimensia and was not making her payments. Way to go guys!! read more
