I have nothing but nice things to say about the employees of this branch, in particular 2 gentleman. I feel ashamed, I don't even know their names. Anyhow, they are always pleasant, accommodating and even remember my mail box number :) sometimes the line or wait is long but that is not their fault. It's a tiny store with boxes overflowing. They do their best to get the job done. Some people who have negative things to say here just seem to not have much patience. Perhaps even entitlement. I was truly impressed with her approach in assisting the customer and providing support to others as they came into the store. I moved to Philly in March 2017. Since that time, this store has been under new management. I cannot articulate just how much this store has shifted (in a positive way!). It's always a pleasure interacting with the store associates and managers--they make me feel like one of the family. My packages are always cared for, and the email notification for when packages arrive at the store keeps me from wasting trips (even if it's only down the block). North 3rd Street has become a bit of a one-stop-shopping corridor for me. I started banking with Allegiance, then buying smokes from Harry's for a friend, and then I discovered the UPS Store. While the staff here is not enthusiastic about their jobs they do sufficient work. I have become next to giddy about sending out odd packages as I know I just have to show up with stuff in hand and they will find the right box and packing material when I am having a clueless moment. Stop procrastinating about sending out holiday gifts to friends and relatives because shipping just got easier. read more

Awful. I went in to the store today to print something off of the computer. I've been there probably around a total of 10 times and never really had any issues. Today when I went in no one was sitting at the front desk. I walked over to the computer and just as I was logging on I was greeted with a snarky remark from the employee working there...."I hope you know it's 2 dollars to use the computer! " I responded with, "Oh, I don't think I was ever charged that before. Is this a new policy?" Maybe I had been charged that before but no one actually ever told me that. To which the employee responds, "Um, I've worked here for 3 years and that's always been the policy." I honestly wasn't upset that I has to pay the 2 dollars because I had to print in color and this was the closest place to my work. Because he was so rude and unprofessional I'll happily take my money elsewhere. read more

I had a very time-sensitive international shipment which needed an electronic waybill. The UPS helpline said that this could be done at any UPS Store, however when I went to the Store on Chestnut Street they said it was not possible (and didn't seem very interested in helping). The Store on 3rd and Arch were a whole other story. They looked at my shipment instructions carefully, assured me there was a way to do it and put the branch manager on the case. The staff at this location provided my package with the attention it needed and demonstrably appreciated the importance of getting it through correctly and on time as I described. I just got the return shipment today, ahead of schedule. Massive kudos to the staff at this Store - this is the type of customer service which should be an example to other UPS Store branches or really anywhere in general. read more

I come here often when I need to return one of my many Amazon purchases, and the staff is always so nice and helpful. They let me use their computer to print labels and even give me any necessary packaging (all completely for free!). The staff also doesn't mind waiting for me when I'm completely idiotic and can't figure out how to package anything properly. read more

I have found most of the staff to be really helpful and friendly. Recently I needed some items shipped and they wrapped and boxed everything so it would arrive safely. When I had questions about using their computer, I was helped instantly and with a smile. We get phone calls to let us know when a package has arrived for us and this is a great service. Some of the staff are more outgoing than others, but I have received excellent advice and information from everyone. read more

I frequently visit this store to pick up and drop off packages, as my apartment doesn't have any place to deliver packages. All of the employees are always SO helpful and answer all of my questions. I usually find myself working with India, who is very professional and goes out of her way to help me. I feel very fortunate that I get such quality of service at this UPS store, and I never find myself looking for another UPS store. read more

If at all possible, please avoid this UPS Store location! The store recently underwent an ownership change and they implemented new practices which are just a total inconvenience. We were told upon new management they no longer notify you via email if you have a package. They also return packages to sender after two weeks without notifying you. If they don't notify you you have a package, how do you know to pick it up! Upon complaining, we found out they do in fact have an email system. Communication is awful and the employees are not nearly as friendly or helpful as they used to be! read more

I calculated my shipping cost at ups.com prior to dropping it off and it came to $20. At this particular store the total came to $36.14. I asked the counter guy, DAN, what the discrepancy was and verbatim he said, "I'm not doing anything diff'rent, so I dunno what to tell ya...." um ok. I had no choice, I had to get this pkg out. He also snapped at me for wrapping the box in paper saying their conveyer belts will rip it up, so he passively aggressively slammed the tape gun over and over all over the box to seal it. I called UPS customer service and inquired about the price discrepancy-- she said next time go to an actual UPS Customer Center; The UPS Stores are independently-owned and they tack on additional fees to make their money. So, not only is DAN an asshole, he is a liar, too. Maybe he should rethink his career choice in a customer service position. read more

I'm surprised a business can be that disorganized and stay open. Some of the people are nice, but nice doesn't mean competent. There is no transparency even within the UPS organization what goes on with the packages. The driver seems to think he dropped our packages off at the UPS store; one of the employees thinks the packages should be there, but they just can't find them; and another employee thinks that they went back to the warehouse. They make the simple tasks of shipping or picking up packages more stressful and time consuming that I had ever thought possible. read more
