Most of the time there are more workers than customers and yet, despite this, several workers will be standing around doing nothing or chatting with each other while the 2nd out of a whopping three customers waits in line behind someone doing some sort of weird transaction at the checkout that takes 10 minutes. Staples in Folsom is the same as all the remaining Staples stores in the Sacramento area. You can tell they're the things of the past as soon as you walk into the store! They still have lots of office supplies and some office furniture. The price seems a little higher than what I can find online. But they're a local store. I can get it right away. The high-tech section has way fewer items compared to many years ago when their customers bought computers, printers, and other accessories from the office supply stores. They still have a few items in the store. But way less and no salesperson at the section anymore! read more

During this pandemic, I have found myself shopping here for home office supplies. All the staff here that I have spoken to have been helpful and engaging. I buy my ink pen refills here. The prices are on par to the big "A" online retailer. Also a few months back, I bought an office chair. I was able to go into the store and sit and test the chairs. I found one that was just right. Better yet it was 40% off and I had a $10 off coupon. The cashier offered to load the box into my car. He was not angling for a tip, just part of the customer service. I appreciated that. You can also have them assemble it for you for a fee of $60. Tip: In the far back wall of the store is a clearance section. It's a hit or miss to find a deal. But occasionally I score some bargains such as $1 two pocket portfolio folder and $2 1.5 inch D ring hardcover binder. Workers here are more responsive and helpful. Definitely knowledgeable unlike nextdoor, bestbuy bunch of idiots. I do come here for school and office supplies. they do sell some electronics here. but it's a hit and miss and you have to keep tabs. What's nice about the staff here and they still do assist you in carrying your big/bulky items to your car. So that's best for people that are alone read more

The red-headed man who typically works the copy & print center is lazy, rude, and clearly apathetic to both the quality of his work and customer service. He will ignore customers for lengthy periods (15-20 minutes) then act like you're an imposition if you kindly ask for assistance. I won't be returning to this location. It's worth the drive to Roseville to not wait 30 minutes for poor service. read more

It's always quiet and nearly empty whenever I go into this store. I went to get packing equipment for my online store and they had what I needed and it was nice to see what else they had. I could see that they ran out of some medium padded envelope mailers so that was a bummer. Their clearance section was pretty good. I got a lot of nice items for a good price compared to their original price. I had to remind the cashier on two items that rang up incorrectly on the register and she was nice about it and changed it. They had a ton of school supplies and backpacks for sale here. I'll be coming back here for special printer paper and stationary/cards. They had more stuff than I remember but for any office supplies definitely come here first to save a trip. read more

I ordered a few boxes of envelopes for $3 a pop online for pick-up this morning. 8 hours later and it still was not ready for pick up. I had already been charged. I was told I couldn't have my envelopes and had to call the support line. I reached a line that said they were closed and to call back later. I have a confirmation number and a debit on my card and a printed confirmation sheet and there's still "nothing" they can do. Now I find I can't even cancel the order online. The boxes were $5 each in-store so I guess I know WHY they do this. Don't give your money to these scam artists. read more

I went into this Staples to do some teacher back to school shopping. I loved how everything that is on sale and on the weekly deals was easily to find in the large bins. I found exactly what I was looking for and I had my hands full. A very nice, young worker, Spencer walked over to me and brought me a cart. A year ago I bought it Epson printer with a replacement warranty, today my printer stopped working and I brought it back to Staples because I had the replacement warranty. The manager of the store told me this is not a replacement warranty and I have to call the one 800 number for a refund and Emma it will take some times before even they send me a refund for me to come back to store and replace it. Please save your money for replacement warranty and don't waste it. Went over to buy a new whiteboard and markers today, and feel compelled to give a shout-out to Shawna for outstanding service. First I called two times with questions and she was so helpful and offered to do the touch-less service. I had problems ordering online so decided to come in person to get it. First, a young man directed me to the whiteboards and I found only the lesser quality and not the size I needed. Since he said this was all they had, I had no other choice but to buy it. Then I ran into Shawna on my way to the checkout who I spoke with on the phone. I told her that guy said that was all they had. She did a quick search and discovered exactly the high-quality magnetic large board that I wanted. She also recommended the True Red markers, which I also bought. The board was more expensive than the one I found online. She said they give price-matching. I ended up getting a discount of like 20% which made me very happy. I ended up spending a hundred more than I intended, but I left the store very impressed with the service and the quality received. Shawna is a true leader. I hope she sees this, that young lady is a great asset to Staples. I know she'll go far in management. I am pretty disappointed in the customer service provided in the printing department. I had two orders totalling about $70 and they had a promo to save $10 if you spend over $50. Well I did that in two different transactions in less than 24 hours. I asked the rep if she could honor the coupon because I was just in there and getting the exact same thing printed again. She didnt bother asking a supervisor, just flat out refused. She said next time you can use another coupon. This is terrible customer service and I will be taking my printing needs elsewhere in the future. read more

I went to Staples yesterday to purchase a large amount of packing boxes. Since I have such a small car, I asked Robert if he could tie the boxes so they would fit in my car. In stead he taped the boxes in bundles, & carried them out to my car. What a big help, Robert was so gracious & courteous. That was the BEST HELP that I have ever received at Staples, & I highly recommend shopping there. They also have great package service, which I always us. Much faster than the post office. I can not say enough nice things about Everette and Ben, my Knights in shining armor, and all the wonderful people who work at this Staples. I was in a crisis today needing to download some video off of my phone onto a flash drive, which at 66, and not being tech savvy at all, put me into a panic! I called them and they told me to bring in my laptop and they would guide me! I arrived and Ben greeted me with smile and literally walked me through what I needed, then the Angel Everette stepped in and literally downloaded everything for me, as he noticed I was a fish out of water, and made sure I bought the correct flash drives! These two young men treated me with such respect and kindness and were so smart and went way beyond anything I ever would have expected to help me. This review relates to the Print Center of Staples. If you are looking for professional quality, do not go to Staples. I had "premium" business cards printed (glossy/matte). They were flimsy. The consistency of ink was poor. They were not cut consistently. My cards had a blue strip on the bottom that contained text. Many cards were cut on the descending "g" and "y" letter, which meant blue was shown on top of other cards. The staff made excuses but reluctantly agreed to a reprint. Picked up the reprint order 1.5 weeks later. They were not ready & had to wait.. Then, they reduced the image by 95%, saying this was the only way to get all the information to show. FYI that I've used a similar template on VistaPrint.com and GotPrint.com and received outstanding quality printing. Unfortunately, the staff was not super friendly or helpful. Instead of finding solutions, they made excuses. But they did refund my money. I wanted to support a local establishment. I'm back to ordering print online. Price was inexpensive. You get what you pay for. read more

I don't get it? This Staples is sandwiched between Best Buy and REI. When you walk into either BB or REI, like it or not, there is a good vibe of offerings and up to date decor. When I pop into this Staples, I get that "Kmart" in Podunk" town feel. Sterile walls, empty warehouse, generic floor and unremarkable experience. My last 3 trips I have walked out never finding "it" among isle after isle of dollar store inventory. I have come to the sad realization that if Target or Walmart can't fill my needs, then on-line I will go. Just came to staples for printing. After loads and loads of working with their fabulous staff in the printing department I was informed that they now have a 30% premium for "while you wait printing". I have a corporate discount but this charge still makes it less expensive to go to their competitors. Not a customer waiting. I guess they don't need the business. read more

***UPDATE*** New record... Only took 2 minutes for the review to get worse. After waiting 25 minutes for return, I was sent to the checkout line to make the return. Now I'm at the back of the line that I was watching the whole time! Not only that, but the employee I finally made it to was rude..just her personality, and she also asked me to carry the box I returned... Luckily someone else was walking by, so they did it for me. THEN, she told me I was using the credit card wrong..that I chose "debit" for my return and "credit" was used over the phone. I bought a printer that was very problematic (eating paper, bad menu design, etc.). It was under the 14 day return policy and I had no problem returning it. I think they understand that some printers are lemons and gave me no friction when I asked for a full refund.
