Nothing is more important to me than excellent customer service and professionalism. I went in to mail a few packages yesterday and was greeted with a friendly smile and a brief conversation. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. Given my previous bad experience with another mail company on the island, it felt good to deal with happy, upbeat people. Thank you for your excellent service and for greeting me with a welcoming smile. While I have read some negative reviews about the manager, I can appreciate the manager's professionalism in responding to the problem and attempting to solve it. I can attest that the competition on the island sends private threatening messages when a negative review is left, so thank you for your professionalism and understanding of what it takes to run a successful service business. I highly recommend this location and will only use them in the future. read more

I had a package to return and my husband had printed out the return form (from Amazon) but did not totally complete it. A very nice gentleman named Charlie managed to work out the problem by helping me do it through my cellphone. That save me a trip back home to print a new form out. I needed a document notarized. Notarization takes less than one minute. When I arrived I was told I need to make an appointment. I asked when this policy started and was told June 2020. I have had two items notarized since then without the need for an appointment, and both took less than one minute. I left the store and made an appointment on their website for 10:00 the following morning. When I showed up at 10:00 with my confirmation number I was told they don't do notarizations before 11:00 and I would have to make another appointment. They showed absolutely no concern for their customer's needs and completely disregarded the fact that I had a confirmation email with a confirmation number that clearly stated 10:00 a.m. The employee I spoke to was very dismissive and the other employee I attempted to speak to just stared at me with no response. I will no longer be using this location. read more

I had appointments for a notary service and for a simple one-page print job, and much like the other people commenting before me, it was a terrible experience. With NOBODY in the store, I was told to come back even after I'd gone through the trouble of scheduling online (and no: they do not take appointments via phone since that would be too convenient for us customers). The employee standing by the printer scrolling through her phone didn't even look up when I tried to talk to her, and I could see over her shoulder that my print job was definitely in her queue. Awful awful customer service at this location. I ended up going to the FedEx PakMail location on Frederica road where Jennifer and her team printed out my document within 10 minutes of me emailing it, and they did it with a smile. I have since talked to several other locals who confirmed that PakMail and NOT the UPS is the place to go. I'll always choose FedEx from now on! read more

My complaint is that I entered the St. Simons Island, Georgia UPS store to send my tax returns. I have been doing this at this store for 13 years. I needed to copy about 11 pages of my tax forms prior to stuffing the originals in envelopes that I brought with me. One man was is the front of the store, no-one else was there. I asked if I could make a few copies. He responded, saying no that there were orders in front of me and to leave the docs and in 7 hours I could come back to pick them up. Of course, I would never leave my tax docs with anyone like that. NOONE was using the photocopier at that time. It would have taken only a couple of minutes to copy my docs. I was unhappy with his surly response and said, fine, I won't be coming back here. He said great. Believe me, I will never use your store again. read more

Great experience! Recently had a package not delivered at home since a signature was needed. The UPS driver left "the note" that said I could pick it up here the next day! Certainly better than the old "we'll try again tomorrow " note!! When I arrived at the store they were very efficient getting me my package! Somehow my name in the system wasn't quite correct but they figured it out anyway!! Highly recommended!! read more

I called the store yesterday to make an appointment to have a document notarized. I was told to come in the store, anytime today, between 11-1, so I stopped by at 11:30. Although I was the ONLY customer in the store the guys working said I'd need to make an appointment. I told them that they told me yesterday to just stop by today and they said they would not notarize the document. Along with that, they were sarcastic and rude. I used to think the folks at this store were very professional and customer service oriented but that has COMPLETELY changed. They've lost my business. BTW, if you're a customer at United Community Bank, they're wonderfully professional, courteous, and super customer service oriented and are happy to notarize your documents. Hate to see our local UPS store take this negative turn and become so rude and unprofessional. I also own UPS stock and this poor level of service is extremely disappointing. Hopefully the owner reads these reviews and takes action. read more

I sent a simple invitation to be printed at this store last Thursday. I specifically asked for them to be done within a couple of days, and if that time line wasn't possible to let me know so I could take them somewhere else. Monday came and I gave them a call and the "manager" said they never received the email so I resubmitted the email to the same address I sent on Thursday. He assured me on Monday they'd be ready by Wednesday. I never heard from them so I showed up at the store asking for my invitations and they still were not done. I complained and asked if he could print 15 pages for me since I WAS THE ONLY ONE IN THE STORE since he promised me that they would be done today.. he made some excuse saying he couldn't cut them today.. he Never apologized or tried to make it right. I told him I would take my business elsewhere and that I wanted to speak to the manager and he said he was one and I told him I was his customer and I didn't appreciate this service and he said that he didn't appreciate me "telling him what to do". I didn't do anything wrong. I wanted a simple print job and was told they'd be done on time. I will never use this store again. Terribly rude manager. read more

I don't think I;ve ever submitted a Yelp review. I feel inclined to because of the obvious price gouging practices of this UPS store. Over the past couple of years I've had occasion to ship a same sized package to various locations in the lower 48. The cost has never been greater than $18 for UPS ground. Yesterday I had another one of these packages of the same dimensions and weight to ship and the charge was over $34!! I;ve shipped x country for no more than $18. I questioned the clerk who said something like 'well the prices go up and down'..yea right.nearly double, and just in time for the holiday shipping rush, So I also had a very small package to send (a key). It was going to a business address no more than 100 miles away. I asked for it to be sent via USPS the cheapest way and he came up with a price that was higher than his UPS price (a clear switcheroo) and proceeded to inflict a more than $9 ups ground charge for this tiny package probably weighing no more than 3 or 4 ozs. I would avoid this place if at all possible. I think UPS stores can tack on as much profit as they wish, but this is absurd! read more
