They are the excellent at assisting me in packing very fragile items and I trust them monthly to make shipments all over the country. They responded very promptly with a reasonable price. They accepted payment over the phone and were able to pick up, package and ship within a few days. I go to this location often to do returns I've never once had a problem they've always been very professional very nice and I thank them for working through this pandemic. If I could give this sorry excuse for a business 0 stars I would. I too wish I would have read the reviews before my mom and I entered this communist UPS store. We walked in and were immedietly yelled at to put a mask on by the manager (mind you masks are no longer mandated in our state). I did not have one so offered to wait outside, my mom however stayed and respectfully put hers on. As she was trying to sign the card she was mailing out, her reading glasses fogged up and she couldn't see so she lowered her mask slightly to finish writing. At that point, she was immedietly harrassed and told to put her mask over her nose 3 times. The last time (after she had put it all the way up) the employee from across the room said "I can still see a nostril!!!" A few seconds later the manager barked at her from the desk saying "throw her out!!" To call this terrible customer service is an understatement... this was harassment and UPS has completely lost our business after this. Congrats on another 1 star review!!!! read more

For those that have prepaid labels and have no desire to deal with this store and their shenanigans, you can use a more convenient drop off at CVS on Tamiami Trail, right around the corner...and for those seeking full shipping needs, if you drive 2.1 more miles, definitely worth it, considering the lack of customer service skills at this store, you can use UPS at 242 S. Washington Blvd. I have already switched to using this store after having a long conversation with UPS customer service. It seems there is nothing they can do about the said store, so I took my business elsewhere. The Washington Blvd store is very courteous, professional and treat people with respect. Involved in a lost package and took zero responsibility. I shipped a package from this location. I didn't fill in the usual paperwork showing the value and contents. I did provide my phone number and destination location. The employee told me "I'll take care of it!". I received an email with the tracking number. 4 days after the package was supposed to arrive at the destination, it still showed that UPS was waiting for information from the source location. I looked at my UPS store email, which provided the store number. I called the store number and briefly explained that the package appeared to never have made it from the store to UPS. The employee emphatically told me "this is UPS's problem, we have nothing to do with this. You need to call UPS". I hung up and proceeded to call UPS. After going through a few minutes with UPS, they put me on hold to call this same store that had refused to help me. After about 10 minutes on hold, UPS started a lost package investigation. The package was found in a different state and eventually made it to me over a week late. This store was actually correct that it was UPS's problem. However, my issue with them is that they refused to help me and UPS ended up asking them the same questions I wanted to ask them myself (but I guess UPS corporate is more important than me). Sarasota is a nice friendly community, surely other UPS locations will provide better service than this location and you are wise to choose a different location to ship your package, in case there is ever any issue. read more

I watched them be rude to 4 people that walked in to get service and the employees 1 the girl and the male manager were out of control rude to them. These people shouldn't be working with the public. Let me start by saying if I could give zero stars, I would. I walked into this sorry excuse of a UPS location carrying a large and heavy package that needed to be sent out. Because I was not wearing a mask, which is no longer mandated in our state, I was immediately yelled at to put one on by what looked to be a teenager working behind the counter. I said that I did not have one and asked if they could give me one and they said no. I asked again, "are you telling me you cannot help me if I do not have a mask", and they responded no and I'd have to leave. I don't know what sort of liberal, communist indoctrination is happening to the youthful employees at this store, but it is absolutely pathetic. I'm happy to join the numerous other negative reviews this store has and hopefully they see a lack of business due to their rude behavior. I understand that some people are still terrified of a virus with a 99% survival rate, however, not everyone is. We moved from Colorado to Sarasota. Our car was totaled in transport. The UPS store in Kansas mailed the personal items to this UPS store as our home will not close for another week. THEY REFUSED shipment. Sent our items back. Now we have to pay another $300 to ship the package again. We have shipped to UPS stores all around the country. Never had ANY trouble. One star is too many for this UPS pos store. I went to drop off a small return which was labeled and prepaid. No other customers in the store. I walked in and placed my package on the counter. There were 5 employees there. The one at register asked me if I had a mask. I told him no I just need to drop off and I'll leave. I kept my distance at the COVID 6' marker. He took my package and scanned it then told me if I want a receipt i need to go get a mask. I said "what? You want me to leave and get a mask and return to the store to obtain my receipt after you've scanned it and you are holding the receipt?" He repeated " if you want your receipt you need a mask". I told him "that's contradicting the covid exposure regulations and there's currently no mandate for masks when not in crowds and I'm 6' or more from you." He repeated. This employee was holding my receipt and telling me to return to get it. I told him to give me my package as I'm not returning to you morons. I then sanitized the package with hand sanitizer outside my car since he handled it without gloves. Put it in the car. Drove home and gave it to the ups driver enroute who I see every day. I'll never ever return to that moronic store. This is my second complaint on that store in two years. read more

Never again. This store changed their policy and would not receive our box shipment from NC. (They had received another shipment from us a few months earlier with no problem, so we had no way of knowing their policy had changed). Pat was downright rude and abrupt with us. Instead of just giving us a quick call and telling us that, although they were no longer supposed to receive boxes, we could come get them since they were already there; he shipped them back to NC. We finally got them nearly 2 weeks late, split open and spilling contents. We had always used UPS for both personal and business shipping for my company in the past.
