There is always 1 person working at the office which makes the wait so long. In addition, they charge for everything here. The owner charges for tapping you package, having a large box when doing an amazon return, now they have a minimum charge limit of $5 to use your card when paying for printing. UPS needs to start regulating the stores because this is insane. This location is the closest to me but I really need to start going to other locations. It took me 3 times to get a package. My package was dropped off Friday afternoon to this location. I showed up there, waited for service, and was told to come back tomorrow (Saturday). She dropped my slip I picked it up, and coldly was told "I have no delivery for this name". I went first thing Saturday, and was told instantly same person, "It will be Monday". When questioned did you not just tell me come back tomorrow yesterday, she talked over me without an apology and just said we're not open Sunday, Monday. I went home called UPS and was still told Saturday. It showed up with a delivery time of 4:09. They closed at 4. Today is Monday, I have the package, its a computer and I wonder about the care, temperature setting on it. This was the worst UPS experience I've ever had. 3 times for a package, and rudeness. read more

I was shipping a box, and I either the lady who runs this store had another young lady working with her. As the owner/manager was helping me, she would stop in the middle of helping me to push the other young lady out the way and help her customer as I'm still waiting. I know the other lady felt a way, because it was all over her face. What should have taken no more than 5 mins took close to 20 because she kept having to stop and help when help wasn't asked for. My advice, train and not take over. Don't make her feel as if she is incompetent on the process. You taking over makes it feel like she doesn't know what she is doing. But she does. Help your customer before stepping in to help her. Also, trust that you trained her correctly. Wait for her to ask for help instead of you just stepping in to take over. read more

JUST DON'T TLDR; Employee incorrectly addressed our package when making our label and sent an expensive package to a random title loan company in Grand Prairie, TX instead of Maui Jim in Illinois. She refused to help us on all fronts. My husband was trying to send $600 worth of sunglasses to Maui Jim in Illinois for repair (not Hawaii as I stated when I was at the store arguing this) and came here because it's closest to us. He bought a box and bubble wrap for it, and he handed her a printed address (Maui Jim does not provide a printed label). She made the label for him. It was about $9 for shipping plus the box and wrap made it about $20. He was ONLY given a dropoff receipt, and he wasn't given a receipt from the purchase. Next thing we know, he gets contacted by a title loan company in Grand Prairie, TX, saying they had a box of broken sunglasses and found our packing slip inside with our information to contact us. We are so thankful that they contacted and were willing to work with us, however, I wanted the UPS store to file a claim and go recover it and fix the mistake. My husband called several times, and was not polite about it on the phone because the woman was always completely argumentative and refused to help him on any front. I went to the store in person, and I found out quickly she was exactly the way he'd described her. I believe her name is Brecka or something. She just kept saying that we should have a different receipt and I needed to bring it, except I brought literally the only receipt she gave us. She acted like she couldn't find anything on the computer, she pulled out a small stack of labels and half thumbed through them acting like it was definitive proof we hadn't done it. She argued with everything I said. She kept trying to catch me in a lie, and called me or my husband a liar at one point. She insisted she's never made a mistake in 21 years, and generally refused to acknowledge that she could've made one. I asked her multiple times for the name, email, and phone number of the owner, as well as the franchise number. She refused to give me any of those. She was like, owner's in London, and I still insisted I wanted the contact and she wouldn't give it. She eventually gave me a phone number that turned out to be the store's number. Eventually I left, completely outwitted by sheer stupidity. Nothing I said got through to her, and she refused to help us at all. All I wanted was package recovery, and all I got was arguments. Ultimately my husband spent $17 on a new label and emailed it to the lovely woman at the title loan company. This woman seems to be the only person who works here. She has shown she does not know how to make a label, and she won't help fix it if she makes a mistake. She doesn't believe she makes mistakes. Just go to any other UPS store. Avoid here. Maybe your package will arrive where you want it to if you don't use this place. read more

I would leave zero if I could. I had to come by 2 times this week because it ends up taking forever. The head lady here I have watched her for 2 years now treat her piers TERRIBLE. No teaching - just demanding and hovering. I watched her with the new girl last year and now they have a new one and same thing. Yanking things away- hovering every little thing she did "wrong give it to me" huffing and puffing - both girls are on edge the whole time. Last visit I watched her handle at least 5 customers with zero greeting or patience "yes- no- give me the code" no affection or ppl skills. Now I knooow I said I wasn't doing business with this UPS store but it was conveniently located where I frequent. Over all, the store manager is unapologetically a rude individual. I didn't do my research of the area to know she's much higher ( $30 actually ) to rent a Private Mail Box. They receive a large amount of bulk mail and packages daily and she can only tolerate herself to work with. For the 3 months I've rented the box, she's had several friends and family to work all of which NONE of them have stayed. It seems as though she's one of those people that prefer to do things herself because they try and she eventually takes over the transaction. What has warranted this 2 star review is I left my packing tape in my hotel room and was too lazy to go back upstairs. I phoned the store and SPECIFICALLY asked if I would be charged for using tape for a package I needed to return, I SPECIFICALLY announced who I was and included I was a mailbox renter. Ms. Patel chuckled said "No charge, come right over". I take my happy self over, patiently wait about 6 minutes just to have her tell me $1 plus tax. I paused, paused another second to breathe in my Buddha and said " I called you...YOU spoke with YOU, can you let me make it on $1.08? I rent box 123 from you?" She said "It's just $1 plus tax". I said "Dang lady, I paid you over $100 for mailbox. You wasted my time coming over here, you knew what you said and trying to make an easy buck outta me! Yeah reviewers, you may say it's just $1. Back at'cha I 2nd that, it's the principle of the matter hungry money hippo! Now I check my box at least once weekly and she always has some type of issue/misunderstandings with the customers. My last date of rental I go to turn in my key and a bystander announced to her how she just a rude individual, Patel says "I did do anything to you", the lady says "No, it's with every customer you encounter ". Patel looks over at MEEE of all people for support and I explain yeah you are rude to us that's why I'm not renewing. Her employee was in the corner mouth shut like "Y'all see why I'm in the corner hands to my side and my mouth shut". Hahaha. First time she wouldn't take my package because it wasn't sealed. Second time I made sure to seal it and she refused to help. The customer service is really poor. talking on the phone or eating first thing that she says is you don't have a package and then when you show them the email that you received from UPS she finds package. I have had a mailbox there since 2003. The staff there has never lost a letter or package of mine. I avoid porch pirates by having my packages delivered there. I have used other services there such as notary, shipping, packaging supplies, and free Amazon returns. And it is easier than the USPS to use. If you want a proxy to collect your mail, a place to ship packages, boxes for packing, or even stamps, the UPS store is the place to go. read more

You can't evan go at a different time of the day to avoid her because she is always there whether I go at 8am in the morning or 5pm (Monday-Friday). I've tried complaining to the owner/manager several times but that didn't help. They must be kin to each other. Avoid this store at all cost if you can. They are always pushing for the most expansive delivery options and if you ask for other options, information provided is always sparse and it is provided in a manner that always insinuate that any other option is not good. Store is always looking to add additional charges for seemingly inexpensive of free services like printing a label. I was asked to pay $15 as service charges along with the cost of shipping for a shipping label. When asked for the receipt for these additional charges, suddenly person at the counter could not find the charges in the system and charges were waived. I do not think i am ever going back and would not recommend this store to anyone. read more

Had the EXACT same experience as some of these other reviewers. I was told for them to print a label for an Amazon return they would charge $2.75 fee for printing. I said "Huh, that's weird.." and the smart ass kid across the counter said "No, it's not, everyone does this". I replied, "is that why I've done this exact thing at multiple locations across Houston and have never been charged a fee?", but he had to get the last say in the conversation and even when I asked "are you REALLY arguing with me whether this is normal or not?", and I eventually had to walk out before losing my temper. If this is your business AND your business model, I would think twice about scoring that very small fee of $2.75 (which is not the reason I was upset, it was this guy behind the counter that felt like it was appropriate to talk down to someone 20 years his senior), but I hope the small fee is an acceptable payoff to risk losing a customer. I will not only never trade with this business, but I will go out of my way that no one ai know does either! Not a great business model guys!!!!! I have a slip for overnight shipping that was sent to me via email. I am used to Fedex printing the slips and applying to the shipping package for FREE. This place did the opposite to print the slip they changed a 2.00 computer use fee and .12 cents for the print...... that's outrageous. You are a UPS store and you don't print the labels ! If I didn't need to send that package overnight. I would have asked the vendor to resend a FEDEX slip ..... UPS sucks ! read more

UPDATE based on the response I received. There were no customers in the store except myself. Again, there is never a reason to speak to a customer to rudely. After reading multiple comments, this has been going on for a while and nothing is changing. If I could leave zero stars I would. Just experienced terrible customer service!!! First off there were boxes literally everywhere. I had an Amazon box to drop off. The end was not taped up because I have never had to do that. Been going here for years. Even Amazon says you can drop off with code but it doesn't have to be packaged up. Gentleman at the register greeted me with a rude"what do you need?" I simply said I needed to drop off the box. He proceeded with "Do you have a code?" to which I replied yes I do as politely as possible. He proceeds to rudely tell me that next time have your package taped up and ready to go with label and everything! I gently said I am sorry I didn't know. I have never done that or been told that. All this happening while the female store manager stood there and let him act so ugly never saying anything. I do not understand why this UPS does not accept return packages that have both UPS and USPS shipping labels printed. The lady who works here always tells me I have to take it to the post office, but the label CLEARLY has both UPS and USPS labels printed. What's the difference really? It has a UPS bar code. I only go here because its right next to my gym, so it's convenient for me to stop here to drop off UPS packages. read more

No wonder this place screams bad ratings but I thought I gave it a try since they were close by after I got out of school. I needed to return my textbooks since I got a free shipping label for UPS. I always have a free shipping label with UPS. I was greeted when I walked in. Great. The box that I carried in was open and this isn't the first time since I had to put in return slip inside before wrapping it up. I am not sure if this store had different policies or what but they wouldn't accept my box because it was open..... The first guy who attempted to assist me didn't say anything about the box. If he knew that they can't take it..then why didn't he just let me know right then and there? Instead of having me wait and have some lady who seemed to be manager or owner stated "sorry ma'am we can't take that box because it is open." I told them that all they needed was to tape it (just like any cardboard that becomes a box when you tape it). The lady repeated it and I said okay that's fine I will get another box. (Made them think I was going to get a box there.) You kidding me? I am not going to buy a box to ship out my books for free...The box was perfectly fine to tape and ta-da, you have a box... I can't help but think they just wanted me to buy one to make money... Anyways won't be back to this location. read more
