Do not recommend going to the store! Went in last month with a package that was expected to arrive to its destination within a few days. Without thinking anything of it, they had asked the value of the package and the contents inside. Call me naive, but I answered truthfully. Over a month later it said the package was still at this stores location. Got the runaround for about four weeks from manager and employees that the package was lost and they were "looking into it" and would get back to me. Was then told UPS Headquarters would email me an update about my claim within a week. A week went by and I never heard back from the store or the headquarters and had to call back, yet again. Not only was this frustrating, but a massive invasion of privacy. When you go into a business you hope they abide by their ethics and yet someone within the store had stolen it before it even left this location. After over a month of calling for an update, they eventually just gave my money back for the value of the package. Not only was the sentimental contents lost but my trust in UPS is totally gone. 10/10 recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

I used their store to send back returns to Amazon. It was the last day to send an item back. Unknowingly It needed an additional box. Samantha told me to cancel my return request and resubmit a fresh return for the item for a different shipping option. (Her co-worker said that didn't matter, but she insisted it was the easier remedy to ensure the return). When I did as she recommended it was outside of the Amazon return window. Sorry doesn't cut it. That's $35 in a return I won't be receiving thanks to the recommendation at this store. read more

The service suck. The store just reopened on Main Street in Summerville SC, and the young lady act like she didn't want to assist me. Very sharp with her answers. After my transaction was completed she walked away and didn't even hand me my receipt. I had to get my receipt off the printer myself. It looked like she was being trained. How can you treat customers like this when the prices are so high. I'll take my business to the other UPS store. Just to think everyone waited for this location to open back up. If you're in the Summerville area use the Trolley Road location. You'll get excellent service. read more

I rate this business 5 stars because of the staff member MISS BETTY. She is just wonderful. Because of Miss Betty's kind and gracious service, I had a very positive experience. She was very professional and and oh so sweet. I was visiting Summerville and purchased a framed piece of artwork. I didn't want to bring it home on the airplane so I stopped here to ship it on my way to the airport. The line was long but the two ladies were trying very hard to keep the wait to a minimum. I was able to have the store pack and ship my item for me. Once again, thank you to Miss Betty for working so hard and caring for my needs so wonderfully. read more

I've had mailboxes at various UPS stores for over 20 years. Most recently the store on Main Street in Summerville was helpful until now. I went out of town for the holidays and spoke to the manager Christy on November 30 about forwarding my mail which she agreed. I patiently waited for a week and finally called the store but the number was disconnected. I looked the store up online and it said "permanently closed." I tried calling around to find my mail and found out that the business did not pay its rent and had to close. The mail was supposedly sent to the UPS store on Old Trolley road - but they said that they did not receive mine. So now my important mail is missing and I'm out of a year's mailbox rent and no one is assisting me. If they think I'm giving up on this - they are wrong. My mail is now considered stolen read more

I am very happy for the shipping companies that have had the privilege of benefiting from the step increase in shipping due to the pandemic. However, this location seems to think that they can forget all those things related to customer service. Let us start with when someone walks up to the counter, hello, how are you, any of those are acceptable. What is pathetic and an indication of poor management, is the dude grabbing your package, scanning it, giving you a receipt without UTTERING ONE SINGLE WORD. Do not go here for business printing. The workers had no idea how to print on card stock or knowledge of what's needed for business prints. Their printers are awful...color was faded and the pattern on my files didn't print. I had to leave with nothing and the guy really didn't seem to care. So, I don't care about leaving a horrible review. Learn how to do the services you are advertising. Period. read more

Its hit or miss on both the wait in line and the mood of the Staff. The owner is quite depressing and sometimes you can catch one of the main Employees in a good mood. Dont take more than one piece of candy off the counter. Could be way better..I guess its just a shipping store. read more

I am having a hard time finding a business that will do what they say they will. I keep getting other peoples mail in my box and now they have lost a package that they have signed for and they are blaming the ups driver of all people . ( they Are the ups store. ) and when I have picked up a package. They ask is it ok if they sign for me to make it faster after getting mad about this I called around and found out they are also higher priced than every other place I have checked I sure would like to give a good review but it wont happen at this location. I provided a 1 star only to find out that my review could have been caused by a few issues, one of which could have been the quality of the label I (ME) printed and was not able to be scanned by the bar-code reader of UPS. My package did arrive as scheduled without scans between stops. I contacted the store and Crystal did a great job on attempting to track my package calling me numerous times to provide updates. Please do not take into​ account my negative​ feedback for this UPS store since it is not a fair evaluation since the issue may have been my fault. I live closest to this one but never knew it was there. So once discovered I have used it on several occasions and none have been really stellar. On one occasion the young lady was off to the side and the other lady (who was working with a customer) asked the young lady to get us. Nothing like being met with a huge sigh and I suggested she was in a foul mood and she just looked at me. On another occasion the older lady seemed confused about what she was doing and on yet another occasion the older lady was the only one in the store and she was rather slow, so after trying to package up something someone brought in to return, with yet another lady in line before me, after literally 15 minutes of no movement I left and went cross town to Trolley road and shipped my package. Desperately in need of better customer service. read more

I took a package to the UPS store on North Main Street in Summerville last Monday and that was a HUGE MISTAKE!! I was shipping a holiday box filled with snacks, drinks and personal items and they COMPLETELY DESTROYED my box, removed some of the contents and returned it back to me as " rejected by the receiver"! Needless to say after several phone calls I found out the package never made it to its destination. They treated that box so bad it punctured a hole in one of my can goods so they returned the package to me as they claim it was leaking! Mind you there were no signs that the box was wet at All as the UPS lady and I flipped it on every side while in the store. Now when I opened the box to my surprise items were missing as she claimed they took the liberty of throwing some stuff away and the contents inside looked NOTHING like how I packed it!! I filed a claim to which they held my urgent package for 6 days only to say it wasn't packed properly. I wish I could upload pictures to show the before and after of this box because the condition in which they returned it to me suggests it would have to been packaged in steel for them not to destroy it. After adding a value to a package and paying $ 123 for in state shipping all my package received was a "ride" to Columbia and then back to Summerville. There was NO refund of my $ 123 shipping fee and to top it all off I have to pay to replace the items that they removed/stole!! I will NEVER ship anything via UPS again. Oh and to add insult to injury when I went to pick up my box I said " I came to get the box that you guys destroyed " to which the claims lady came from the other side of the store smiling only to say " Oh no we didn't destroy it, UPS did"! Well last time I checked the store's sign said " UPS STORE" so you were a part of the horrible service too!! read more

Awful service. I was shipping a wheelchair to a charity and it was in a pretty big box that was really heavy. The manager and 2 employees were in the store---no other customers---and all 3 watched as I struggled to get the box inside. I began taking the box to the back because that is where I saw the other boxes. I stopped 1/2 way thru the store and said to one clerk "I guess you want this against the wall" and she said no at the register, but again no help moving it at all. I just cannot believe this place. I guess I should go into the day before when I did not get my change for the box I purchased for the wheelchair. I called when I realized it and could the clerk that helped Me in background saying that she did give me my change. I told them to call me the register was off by the amount of my change. Later that night I got the call. If you can find another place to ship your packages in Summerville, for your own sake please go anywhere else. read more

I don't know what it is about this UPS store but their service is not consistent and the people generally aren't very nice. I got charged $.23 to make a copy yet the last time I went there I didn't have to make a copy for a label. I just got my phone scanned for the label. I wasted 10 minutes trying to log onto their slow computer and the lady behind the counter just look annoyed that I was just even in her store. Why did I even come here? If you want to go somewhere particularly this UPS store, don't go here. read more
