The quality of service is beyond incredible! I use this UPS store not only because they are perfectly located but because they offer so many services that I've uses. I've shipped, received packages, bought shipping supplies, made Amazon returns, shredding and notary. There was never a service that wasn't exactly what I wanted and most often above and beyond. I lost a receipt that was important and they had it ready for me the same day. They emailed it to me. Everyone is always incredibly helpful, professional and friendly. Rude clerks. Won't even let you drop off a package like any other UPS store. You would either need to navigate the kiosk to scan it yourself and wait for the receipt to print, or wait for the rude clerk to do the same while they make you stay there. read more

Second time here in the last 24 hours. Yesterday I needed to ship back my company issued laptop from my old job. Today I needed to make copies of things for a new Passport. It's been years since I've came to this UPS, and it seems like they changed ownership. Definitely it looks a lot nicer in here, because it's less clutter now, and clean. Store is not handicapped accessible. Staff is rude. Came in 6/24/24. Asked for a cart so I can drop off 3 packages. Small lady behind the desk ask me if it's over 50lbs, I'm a driver, I make deliveries and making a drop offs is apart of the job. I asked three times before a smaller man came out and said I need to make sure they aren't over 50lbs. I asked why, he said you see how small these people are, they can't handle 50lbs. Which is odd because when I was a manager at 5 UPS store locations, 50lbs is a minimum that needs to be picked up. He wanted to follow me out to my van, but because of the rude behavior and explaining that I need to make a drop off. I decided to not drop my packages off here. Avoid this store. read more

Never had a UPS store employee yell at me before today. I did not have a side of my package taped and asked if they had some tape - and every other UPS store I have been to has been happy to tape it up with their tape roll. This gentleman rudely yelled at me in front of a bunch of people for having the audacity to be a ups customer. I basically had to leave after telling him that that was not the kind of attitude I expected. Obviously I'll never use this location again, and maybe not UPS at all. read more

I paid for and printed a UPS label from my business for a package that had to be delivered next day air. I arrive at this UPS store at 3:30. I asked the woman at the counter if it was too late to ship it "next day" and she said, "No it's fine" , I even confirmed it with her a second time "So, it's not too late to get it there tomorrow?" (just to be sure she heard me correctly). She confirmed that it was fine once again, printed the receipt and I left. I tracked it that evening online and it said it was on its way. Unfortunately, that was the last of the good news.... It arrived two days later! UPS customer service has since told me that 3:00 is the cut off time for overnight delivery. Why didn't the employee know this? Why isn't there a sign saying this somewhere in the store?? I had other options, including FedEx. Their cutoff time for CA overnight is 7:00 pm. So, $63.00 down the drain and a HUGE problem for the recipient with the late delivery. UPS won't reimburse me so I am disputing it with my credit card.. This employee cost me hours of my time and my credibility with my customer. Both things I value highly. Please do better next time. Not a service oriented business. They have a deal to accept returns but they act like they're doing you a favor and are completely rude about it. I had other shipping to do that. I almost paid them for and decided they weren't worth giving business to. The employees have some attitude issue. When I go straight to self help kiosk to do a return, they come and say something like why didn't you let us help for big items like this? This is the best UPS store, I have encountered. Last year UPS last a package, I shipped from this store. UPS was not responsive at first, Bala got in phone and argued my case. He sent my papers on fax for free. He was apologetic for something UPS did not handle. He was humble and very helpful for me. Now I return to this store particularly, to return an Amazon item. The UPS Store - Shipping Centers Near Me - Sunnyvale, California

It is the worse UPS store over all these years in the Bay Area. I've been there three times. First time, just dropped off my package. Second time, I asked them about the package status bc there had been no update info at all over a month since drop-off. And the gentleman staff told me lost is lost, there is nothing they could do. And today, the third time, I went there to pick up my online order package. Pls note that I followed the exact instructions from sender about the option of picking up a package at an ups point. However, they said they need to charge me $10 pick up fee bc the package was not in their system. And the lady compared me with homeless people that send packages randomly to ups store, and said it is my fault, and asked me do not ship to their store again. I explained to her clearly and showed her the email about the pick up details and infor, wanna let her know clearly it is not my fault at all. But n unfortunately she wouldn't listen n kept saying do not send packages to them, send it to your own house! It really made me feel bad, n I almost cried when I was there. Eventually they waived the $10 fee, n the gentleman said I should be happy n he is proud of their service. I would have to say their words made me feel personal insulted. read more

Favorite UPS store by far. Not really sure what happened with any negative reviewers.... But they have always been so helpful, and have went out of their way to help me out. I've also seen many regular customers come in during holiday season and speak to the owner, and give him a little gift of gratitude. That says SO much. "There is no benefit to us helping you" That's what I was told when I asked if I could use their packing tape to tape up a box. I was doing an Amazon return and I thought they would do the packaging like Staples does. When I finished taping up the box (fortunately I had some tape in the car), she was the next clerk available. When I set my box down, she just at about me until I asked if she was going to help me. After the transaction was done, I asked the clerk her name. She refused to answer. I was pleasant throughout this encounter, even after I was treated rudely. I didn't raise my voice or act like a Karen. I've worked retail, so I know what it is like on the other side of the counter. read more

I walked into the UPS Store on Hollenbeck at 9:30 AM (half an hour after they are supposed to open) on a Tuesday in May 2021. Nobody appeared to be inside. I called out 'hello, please help,' several times. All I heard was the sound of cardboard boxes sitting incredibly still on counters and corners of the store -- I believe in some parts of the world this exotic sound is referred to as 'silence'. I walked to the back of the store, where I discovered more cardboard boxes, some with creepy smiling arrows printed on them. Seeing no movement or signs of intelligent life, I called out again, 'anybody here?' A minute or so later, I finally heard and saw a sign of life, though likely not very intelligent. It was a young boy who walked out of a hidden white door from the very back of the room. 'The door is closed,' he says with a teenage-sounding voice, 'cuz I'm on a break.' I was perplexed since the door was unlocked and the store was supposed have been open for half an hour already. I glanced at the front of the store. There was not a sign that said 'closed' or 'employee on his usual 9:30 AM break because he thinks we live in Spain or something'. I asked if I should come back later. He said, sounding very irritated, 'well I'm already out so...' He proceeded to very bitterly take my packages and, with a rage that burnt like the flames of a thousand suns, he scanned the black and blocky, pixelated QR codes I had open on my fruit-based device. The boy did not offer receipts and said nothing. I thanked him and walked out, feeling like I had perhaps committed a crime trying to ship my rainforest-based packages on time during business hours. He then closed the door behind me again, perhaps naively thinking that it would deter customers from entering and intruding upon his break. As I was driving away, I saw another customer walk into the store, effortlessly opening the door the boy had so savagely closed mere seconds prior. I grinned. An unlocked, closed door does not signify that the employee of an establishment is on a break. At least not in these parts. And if you're going to run an establishment with just one person working, at least teach them basic courtesy and respect. I do not go the UPS Store to irritate someone for my personal enjoyment. The air conditioning was turned off and it was a hot day. I did not want to be in there any more than the employee wanted me to be in there during his 9:30 AM break. I wanted to be in and out and get on with my day. I have a job to get to as well. read more

The manager wouldn't release my package. Their system wasn't releasing it due to some obvious error. I called UPS and had an assistant on the phone tell George the manager to release my package and still he didn't want to. I had the official UPS confirmation on my phone to pick it up with the tracking number, my name and my ID. Even after calling UPS and UPS told him to release my package he did not want to release it! Also George, the manager called the police on me because I told him to give it to me and attempted to take ir from the counter as it is rightfully mine! Like the police were going to sanction me for claiming my own package that by law, was mine. They never came. An hour later still waiting...George had to release my package after he called for help to his superiors ( he should have done this in the first place). Also another costumer had the same issue that morning . That's when he finally called his regional manager! Worst case of illogical behavior. read more

I visit many ups stores mostly for Amazon returns, I usually come with many items and not very organized with labels and boxes if needed. George and the staff were very patient and kind to me, they supported and helped with things they didn't have to, when it was my responsibility to know and bring the items according to Amazon requirements. Had to file a complaint with UPS corporate against the UPS Store clerk Bala for his unprofessional attitude and unwilling to cooperate in good spirit. What happened was Bala did not release a company package addressed to my company when I showed him multiple proof that the sender Legalzoom was addressing the package to me, and I already provided all the address, order date and proof that I work for the company. I understand this UPS store is a franchise, but I feel that UPS should uphold and maintain certain standard for all their franchisees to be professional and helpful. I've been to at least a dozen UPS stores, and this is by-far the worse I've ever visited since I felt mistreated as a customer and made it very inconvenient to retrieve a simple small package. UPS did give me a follow-up call to make sure all the information regarding the complaint and shipping address are accurate, and they will try their best to retrieve the package or waiting for it to be sent back. Fortunately, the package are all just paperwork and not valuables. And thankfully, Legalzoom will send me all the information again to my home address directly. Avoid this location at all cost if you are trying to pick up something of value - especially for a company that the sender may not put your personal name on the package. You may not get it at all and have to go through the same problems I encountered. read more

The workers were really nice. However, I got a little annoyed because I asked if I could borrow their packing tape and they said I had to buy it, even though I could see they had some right behind them. I guess it's part of their policy? I also guess I got spoiled by the US Post Office in downtown SJ (on 1st Street) because they helped me in taping up my package without charging any extra for it. So, if you want to save a couple of dollars for something you probably will seldom use, and you need your package taped up well, I would suggest you visit a different store. read more

The employees at the Hollenbeck UPS store are really wonderful. We had to have some important documents notarized and shipped. Mr. Padada was careful to make sure everything was right. He was very honest as well. My husband and I thought we had an extra page to be notarized, but Mr. Padada pointed out that it wasn't required. This saved us money. We have used the UPS store here several times and always get the best price and the right delivery options for us. I am never worried that we will get cheated or ripped off here. The employees are polite and kind. I look forward to using the UPS store next time I have something to ship. read more
