The Edwards and Vail UPS Stores have been incredibly disappointing. If the owner happens to see this, I'd genuinely appreciate the opportunity to discuss the situation directly. They've lost 2-3 of my packages, including some critically important luggage, and no one at the store is willing to help or take responsibility--even though I insured everything. To make matters worse, UPS corporate tells me I need to handle it with the store owner, while the store staff insists I take it up with corporate. This back-and-forth is beyond frustrating, and I'm left without answers or resolution. People at the store are not helpful and very rude. "I didn't loose your bag, I don't care. Checked the website with hours showing that they open until 2pm on Saturdays. When I tried calling, there was no answer. We arrived at 12pm and the doors were locked with a sign saying that they are open until 1pm EVERY OTHER SATURDAY. I'm absolutely okay with it having limited hours, but as a non-local, it's difficult to find out the actual hours if there is no one to pick up the phones or any update of hours online. Apparently UPS corporate has decided that franchisee's can charge whatever they want if you want to pick up a package. I have always used UPS, and selected this store as the closest for delivery of my parcel. Imagine my shock when I was forced to pay $100 to pick up my package from this store that was at the store for all of 45 minutes. We had to dig up our own package. No refund of my money. Too bad that I will choose FEDEX over UPS now. So sad to see a good US company go down the tubes because of greed. Hope they are happy with their $100. If you are shipping something valuable, don't use this store as you will have to rifle through other customer's packages to find your package. read more

This is a message for the owner (or a regional manager who oversees the entire staff--including the store manager) at the UPS Store Vail: I take issue with the poor service I've received at this location. On 8/25/22, I returned an Amazon package (shoes in the original manufacturer's shoe box). Instead of "safely packing" the item, per UPS' agreement with Amazon, the long blonde-haried, early 30 something, female associate wrapped a strip of packing tape around the box and happlessly stuck a label on it. This careless job damaged the original shoe box making the item unresellable. I replied, aren't you supposed to "package" that "safely" per the UPS/Amazon agreement? She responded with an attitude, "It costs money to package things here." I then explained that per Amazon's agreement with UPS stores, she was supposed to package the item "safely" and at no charge, as long as I bring the item in the "original manufacturer's packaging" --which I did. She continued to gaslight and argue with me while other customers were waiting. My impression was she was resentful she had to package someone else's return. She was basically too lazy to do her job. In an effort to prevent the same mishap from happening to other customers, I followed up on 9/3/22 to speak to a long red-haired, early 30 something, store manager. She also argued and gaslighted me even after I had presented the actual Amazon agreement to her (see attached). As a result of the damaged packaging caused by your store, I was issued not an Amazon refund, but a credit instead. IN CONTRAST, I returned a second pair of shoes at a different UPS store (Avon) on 9/3/22. Not only did Arlee pack my shoes "safely" without asking, she was also polite and professional. My compliments to Arlee. She clearly knew her job well and was aware of the Amazon/UPS agreement. Please rectify the carelessness and salty attitudes at your Vail store. I have never experienced such poor service and ignorance at this establishment in the past (clearly your store is under new staffing), and Vail has been a residence of mine for 25 years--much longer than a UPS store has existed at this location. PS, I will also be following up with UPS corporate to file a complaint. No one should be treated the way that I had at your store. read more

Thieves. They shipped a backpack for me and I received it a day later than guaranteed ($436 in shipping costs) and missing some valuable items. I had it insured and when UPS pays, they will send the money to the UPS Store because they are listed as the shipper. What a complete cluster. Stay away from here. Not trustworthy. read more

I would like to respond to a very unpleasant experience with Alexandria who works at the desk. I am a senior citizen who does not have a printer and needed some help on sending a package using a printed label. Not only was she rude and condescending she refrained to recommend the options I needed to mail the package. What good is a mailing service that is not customer friendly? I hope the manager will take charge and train the employees to help customers rather than discourage them to go elsewhere. Literally took 30 minutes to have a packing labeled printed and paid for. I was the only one in the store and the girl behind the counter was clueless. I asked to have my box arrive by Saturday 2 day shipping she quoted me twice what the website quoted. She also had to reprint the label twice because she mistyped the receiving address twice, I had even written it down for her to make it easy. I will never go back to this store. I ship here quite ofton and I have been very impressed with the service and the people who work here. Very quick to get you in and out as fast as possiable which is a great service in it's self. Parking is sometimes a little busy but you can always find a place to park. The side walks are cleaned of snow so your not walking on ice while carrying heavy loads to ship. The prices seem pretty good even for Vail where everything is over priced. Great place for business. read more

This store gouges UPS customers. I had a package that was delivered to this location because I happened to be in Vail. When I went in to pick it up the wanted $10.00 to hand it to me. Because this is a an independent store they can charge for simply handing a package to a UPS customer. It is the equivalent of holding your package hostage!
