I began to record, fearing for this woman's life. He begins screaming at me, saying I'm not allowed at the store?! Recording conduct you believe in good faith to be a felony is protected by law. I'm a frequent UPS store customer on the west side but was near this location and had Amazon returns to drop off. The store is a bit rundown and unfortunately they don't have the self-scanners for returns. Although I was the only customer around 11:30am, I was told "wait, we're busy" while 4 men walked around, chatted with one another, answered phone calls, etc. When I was finally able to make the returns they told me I couldn't use the box I had. So I left and went to another UPS where they scanned and accepted it, no problem. read more

Awful service, one of the worst UPS stores I've ever been to they lose packages hold them hostage and don't call you when it has arrived in order to raise the fee of the package. They will lie and say they don't have the package for days just to get you to pay $10 per day knowing that they have it. I recommend going anywhere but to the store. update: i've picked up MANY packages from the store before, so they have seen me- I did not receive a phone call about the package, I had to continue following up about the package and showing the tracking number and it was the third time I gave them the tracking number that they finally told me they received the package . your response is not true and I had proof that the package was to be delivered to me if I needed to get my sister and her ID I would've did that it wouldn't have been an issue and i said that IN STORE. i went by THREE separate days, one of the days two separate times. you were willing to release my package to me under my sister's name up until I said I wouldn't pay $100 fee for a package I YOUR STORE couldn't locate even with me giving you the correct tracking number multiple times. When I offered to get my sister and come back with her, even though I had all the information and proof of purchase on my phone, you tried charging me, and since I wouldn't pay your shipping, my package back, which makes no sense. Every time I step into the store, it's an issue with finding the package, it will say that it was delivered on my end, but you guys haven't received it so then days go by and then I have to pay extra. Came here to drop off an Amazon return. Two people were working at the desk and I was second in a line of 3 people. I got my items returned quickly (one had a shipping label already and the other one I had to scan the barcode for them to package). Everything went very smoothly. I also got a receipt which was nice. If you use their packing services, they will totally fleece you! They were all very nice, until I questioned the enormous bill. So if you're just dropping off an Amazon return, they're great. If you need things packed -do not go here!!! I brought in a dozen bulky garment bags that I needed shipped overnight to NYC. I had 6 shipping labels, not knowing what kind of boxes they had. (I've done this many times before - different stores have different supplies). The guy I dealt with scanned the labels, and charged me for 6 boxes: $47 per box! But they were sturdy, and he said they were the only size that would work. He charged everything in advance, and so far he was really nice, so I thought he was just being efficient. He told me I could go, that he would pack everything, and it would be a waste of my time to hang around. I wasn't about to just leave- it's a busy place, and I didn't want something to be misplaced (no comment on them, it could happen anywhere). As I watched him packing, it became obvious that we only needed 4 boxes, and I looked at the receipt. There was an $80 charge for "Materials work order pack", and "Custom Fees" of $130. He said it was $20 per box for packing (wouldn't that be $120?), and the $80 was for bubble wrap and tape! When I said I would like a refund for the 2 boxes we didn't use, 1/3 of the materials, and packing fee for 2 boxes - that's when things started to get nasty. He had alot of excuses for why I shouldn't have a refund. Apparently he had given me a discount, so 4 cost the same as 6? But he also claimed that all the prices were posted, so that didn't make sense. He claimed that he'd spent an hour of his time packing things, and that rent was expensive. There were alot of other excuses, and he was shouting by the end. At one point I laughed, because I couldn't believe he was giving me all this grief, and he was offended at that. I was being rude to him! By the end he was shouting at me - very aggressive. Very upsetting. He also struggled to give me a refund from the 'Materials Work Order' and 'Custom Fees' - which leads me to think he charged me an arbitrary price. I was shaking, but trying not to show it, or get mad, because I was terrified he'd 'misplace' a box or that somehow, they wouldn't all make it onto the truck. When I got to the car, I had to sit a few minutes and calm down. I fell like such a mug - he saw me coming and really took advantage. Come here often or my Amazon returns very quick service usually and efficient. This last visit was not great. The guy at the counter told me to wait so I waited. Waited in line for about 5 minutes, next thing I know this girl comes barging in and the guy at the counter just takes her in and her packages leaving me to wait even longer. I've been using this UPS Store for work since 2010 and have never had issues with the staff. They have always been friendly and professional. We have a mail box and we use them to ship, receive packages, and shredding. Stephen has been there since the beginning and has his own personality, you can tell he's the supervisor. So I think people complaining about rudeness are probably either difficult or expect Stephen to be fawning towards them, in this entitled, narcissistic age. Armen and the other guys currently there are all super nice and helpful. I highly recommend this location! It's the first time I've visited the store, and I'd say, it's not efficiently managed - so if you have already boxed and labeled the item to return, you might consider another location. Obviously, my box was sealed and labeled, and all I needed was a scanner to acknowledge receipt. 10 seconds? I walked in and there were two people who were just ahead of me - both with complicated packages, needing measuring, and itemizing, and packaging. I was bold, soft-spoken but firm: "I just need this scanned." The manager (or older guy) gave me the death glare, was dramatically silent for a few seconds, then responded, holding up his hands, "Do these look like computers? The computers are busy. My objection was that either clerk, especially the one on the left who hadn't begun the process, could have just called me over and scanned the box. I was annoyed and impatient at waiting ... and waiting .. and waiting .. til they finished the complicated processes. But it seemed to never end. I said, more loudly, not yelling, not rude, just displeased," Can you PLEASE just scan this?" The clerk was livid. I waited till my turn, when he called me and scanned the box, I ripped the receipt out of his hand, impertently. "He screamed, "Don't ever come back." You can interpret this as me being entitled, and rude. And I am entitled, at least to the respect that this isn't a free service, and UPS should be able to guarantee relatively quick processing of prepared packages, like mass shippers like FEDEX and AMAZON - both have auto-check out for prepared packages to scan. Was I rude? It's borderline. I wasn't polite. I didn't scream. I didn't yell. I wasn't abusive. So being screamed out in front of the LONG line of waiting customers was inappropriate for a business manage. Bottom line: inefficient substandard service. read more

I returned my Spectrum cable equipment and instead of just dropping it off like Spectrum told me to, Stephen printed out a receipt for me, and suggested I keep copies of them, because sometimes Spectrum lose equipment, and I would've been charged for them if they were lost. I came here about a month ago and still haven't forgotten my experience with UPS. I was interested in shipping a relatively large box overseas and after waiting a long time the guy in the counter simply told me a ridiculous price without typing the address. For one box he quoted me at $2,600. After politely asking him to check the address he simply gave a a terrible look and said it's the same price. I simply walked out, used Apple Maps and typed in FedEx. There was one about a block down near the VCA pet hospital. Never knew there was a FedEx there. Wow. I had actually loved this place but my last two experiences have been...not happy! First, I dropped off a package and got a receipt with tracking. My package was supposed to be sent the same day I had taken it, and arrive the next day. I checked the tracking each day and nothing ever changed from "label created" throughout the week (so it wasn't sent). I finally called this store and told the man who answered (I don't know his name but he had a thick accent). I explained everything. He was extremely rude to me and said things like "what do you expect me to do about it?? Want to come get your package back?" How is he possibly in customer service!? It took me forever to spot this store, as it's somewhat hidden in between a few other shops. They opened at 8:30am today, which was perfect, as all the UPS stores near me were closed today. I found a metered spot right in front that had six minutes left and was in and out in three minutes flat. The gentleman who assisted me had on a Covid mask and was very kind in sealing up the box I needed to mail. There was no one else inside, and I was pleased to be able to have such a seamless, positive experience. Hmm, I had written a review of this place a long time ago, since I've been with them since 1999, but I don't know where it went (it looks like all the old reviews disappeared). So here's a new review: this place is FANTASTIC. The guys behind the counter (Zorick, Armen, Stephen, Pat and the rest of the crew) are super helpful and greet their regular customers by name. They can handle anything I throw at 'em, and when I'm gone from town and on location for two weeks, I can just call them and say "can you please mail me whatever is in box and charge my credit card?" and they always respond "sure, no problem."
