It's so refreshing to support a small, family-run business that's both friendly and professional. SENSELESS & PURPOSEFULLY LOST MY PACKAGE!!! DO NOT SEND ANYTHING FROM HERE IF YOU WANT YOUR PACKAGE OR PARCEL TO ACTUALLY MAKE IT TO ITS INTENDED DESTINATION. I work in the medical building up the street from this postal annex and due to its close proximity and availability I regrettably chose to use it this one time instead of going directly to the USPS. I will never do this again. When I called to inquire about shipping options beforehand, whomever answered the phone was so rushed and rude that I had to practically beg him not to hang up before answering the one simple question I had. That should've been the indicator that my package would never make it to its intended destination. But I was limited on time and it seemed like the only option. Once I was in the store and waited patiently in line for my turn I was rushed through the process of sending the 2 small envelope packages that I needed to send. With one resulting in the wrong address being put on the label by the worker. I was being forced to rush so quickly that I did not notice he had put the wrong address on the label. Usually at any USPS location you have to confirm on a screen that the correct address was put in by the postal worker. But Larchmont mail shop (Larchmont postal annex) does not offer this service. So of course the address was put in wrong by the worker and ultimately ended up being delivered to the wrong address .....which I paid $20 for! Not to mention the irreplaceable items in the package were completely lost ((by being delivered to the wrong address in an apartment building with over 20 people with no option of knocking on each door to try and retrieve the package)). This was a senseless issue that should've never taken place had the worker taken his time to confirm and ensure that the address he input was the correct one. When I went back to the annex to speak to the worker that had helped me, he admitted that he remembered the interaction but did not apologize nor did they offer any options to rectify. Do not waste your time, money, or precious packages by going to this business. They overcharge their customers, are rude, rushed, and can't even do the bare minimum to make sure the packages they're in charge of arrive safely and intact to the intended destination. read more

WOW!!!!! I JUST found out these people have been grifting me for over 4 years!!! I am an author and have mailed out dozens of books from here. I asked the gentleman day one about Media Rate and if it could be tracked...he said NO! So I would NOT do media rate and purchase tracking costing anywhere from $4 to $20 more! I was informed yesterday by another author that YES! Media rate has ALWAYS had FREE TRACKING... Sooooo...I went there today with some of my books to mail out and requested Media rate...she smiled and said okay... Then I confirmed that it does in fact include FREE TRACKING...she gave me a weird look...glanced to her husband who also gave a biazarre look and she turned back to me and said, "With tracking the price is DOUBLE! Because I have to type in the information into a computer...and they dont have to do that at the post office (LIE!!!! as I found out soon after!)" My jaw dropped to the ground as I grabbed my books and told her YOU ALWAYS TYPE THE INFORMATION INTO A COMPUTER!!! So you've been lying to me for FOUR years? You've lost my business now! Do not go here! I called over the phone to see if they print/pack and accept DHL account numbers they said "yes". Once I arrived the guy at the counter tried to deter me from shipping saying "DHL is expensive and people think they are cheaper than UPS & FedEx but they are not". After unloading my second load of boxes and I went to give him my account number he then tells me they don't accept accounts with a "whatever" attitude. He then directed me to FedEx and I told him "as stated before I'm using DHL for these shipments". I then asked was he the guy on the phone and he tried to act like it was someone else when clearly it was him. I knew his voice and his lack of understanding and competence matched the guy on the phone. DO NOT GO HERE! It's worthless, they are rude, they don't care, they tell you anything to get you in there for a buck, and they have bad comprehension. This is definitely not a place you want to leave your items. I will be calling DHL to file a formal complaint as well. It looks like they changed the name but the service SUCKS all around. The Asian guy is the one who I'm speaking of. read more

I love this place! I have had a mailbox here for many years and the staff is super nice and helpful. They forwarded me my mail when I was unexpectedly out of town for a long time and I always send my packages here so I know they are safe. Prices were raised on my mailbox once, but it was a marginal increase and they gave me ample notice. They also sell a bunch of cute stickers and I brought my friend here to do her passport photos! p.s. I feel like some of these other reviews might be thinking of the wrong place? Honestly I don't understand the negative reviews, and can only speculate what type of "intitled moment" some people must have had to write some of them. I have used the mailbox service for better part of a decade, the staff have always been fantastic. and I love being able to walk in with my door code in the middle of the night to grab my mail. When the pandemic started, the shoppe took on recieving shipping for so many of us, frankly this place have saved my sanity. Im shocked they are not charging me more for all their help and support. BTW. on the topic of rates - Please remember great service cost money, this is a small shop that don't operate 1000 mailboxes, but also being located on Larchmont Blvd is incredible expensive, the rent on Larchmont is astronomical, please don't blame the shop for not being in a low-rent area. I like them because it's easy to walk to from my apartment and I hadn't had any issues. However, recently I went to drop off 4 pre-paid USPS packages that I had already packaged & put the label on - it was just more convenient to drop them off there than the post office. The owner, who has been pleasant before, accepted them but said harshly that next time I need to take them to the post office. He didn't elaborate and I left a bit confused. I know that they probably didn't make any money off my packages (because I didn't buy anything from them) but I've never encountered a mail shop that didn't let people drop off pre-paid packages. Never going back THERE. Anyway, I'd seen this place for years but never went in. Had been planning to go to the UPS store (I needed DHL) but this was so close I just decided to check it out. Many of the negative opinions are due to us old people who remember the original owners. They treated everyone like family, not cash registers. I remember the lovely young gal who used to work the counter, I watched her get married, have a baby and presumably moved on with her life. If you needed a piece of tape, or something printed, it was never a cost or even a problem! Of course they would help, they just took the thing from you and taped it up or whatever it needed. The new owners do not understand that "help" is the actual business. And the "cost" of doing business is their time and assistance. "How can I help you?" was once a greeting at this location. I've been here almost a year now. I have mixed feelings about this place. In general, the service is okay. After my first three months were up, they forgot to send me a notice. I was so busy to remember the due date but have realized that I haven't paid in a while. It had expired. I reminded them and it's been almost six. That meant I had an almost free service there. But I was honest. Their rates here are expensive. I asked nearby mailing services and they seem lower. I'm just not ready to change my mailing address yet. Maybe I'll stay till this year. The flat rate boxes are higher than USPS's rates. I'd rather drive to the USPS in 3rd St if I'm sending a package. I'll only send something here if I'm in a hurry. This only happened one time but I thought I lost a package. I'm not sure how it happened but my tracking number said it's been received. I asked her and she had a hard time locating it. Long story short, she found it eventually. I still didn't know how it happened but I didn't investigate any further. They have a photocopy machine inside. It's $0.50 cents per page. I was shocked! I needed a photocopy one time and this is the only one nearby. I will not do that again. I think someone mentioned this before but it's really hot inside the store. I think they have their heater on or something. Also, I noticed that the lady here rarely smiles. I think I've only seen this happen once or twice. I don't take it personally. What's good about this place? They always call me when they receive my packages. I've also never lost any mails. Another good thing here is that they mind their own business. They don't ask around what's in the box I'm receiving or sending. I've experienced this before in USPS and this other place I can't remember. Let me start off by saying I haven't written a review in years, but after my ordeal with this place I felt a strong urge to WARN people about this place. First of all I live and work in the Larchmont area and always make a conscious choice to support local small businesses in the area, especially Larchmont Village where a lot of small businesses have gone under due to the high rents. I went in on a Weds afternoon for a passport photo because I noticed a sign for $9.99, Ted (the owner) took my pic. I stated that the VISA app wanted me to upload a pic, he stated he could have it e-mailed me to for an additional $5.00...Ummm, okay? Wouldn't it be cheaper to have it e-mailed or the same price? NOPE, he told me $15.00 and NO hard copy. Having never have been through the VISA process before, I obliged, paid the $15.00 for the photo to be e-mailed to me. When I get home, I uploaded the photo to the government website and notice I also need to affix one to the top. I go back in the next day and ask for a print out and Ted told me $10.00! LOL, okay so let me get this straight...$25.00 total for a freakin' passport photo?! SICK! I told him I could've just paid $10.00 yesterday and took an iPhone pic of it and uploaded it and he said ''well, why didn't you'' Not willing to work with me at all, I gave him a piece of my mind and left. I strongly urge you to NOT support this business. The energy of this whole experience made me sick and Ted should be ashamed of himself as a business owner. Try the new UPS store that just opened up on Larchmont just south of Beverly, it's owned by a sweet, young couple that know the meaning of customer service and won't rip you off! read more
