Rip offs!!!!!! I booked a truck for $25 and they said it was stolen the night before. They rented a van instead and I confirmed they would only charge me $25. I also asked the manager to confirm and he did. Scammers!!!!!!!!!! We drove the van literally 2 miles and they charged us $66!!!! Plus the place is a filthy mess!!! With terrible service!!!!!! If you are considering renting from U-Haul, DO NOT use this third party "partner" location. You will pay the same amount while receiving no service. Rental contract, inspection, return... you're expected to do it all yourself on your phone. And if there is an issue? You'll receive a blank stare, a shrug, and a suggestion that you call U-Haul's 1-800 number. "We're not U-Haul," says the guy renting me a U-Haul truck while standing in front of a U-Haul sign. This "service", if I may call it such, was so disastrous that I won't be using either of these companies again. read more

I am giving this location two starts because I do not want to deter other folks from conducting business here, but I want to share my truck rental experience. I made a single reservation this past Thursday for 4:30 pm the following day. I received e-mail confirmation, but I called the location at 10 am on Fri to ensure that I would be able to pick it up without trouble given I had not previously rented from a third-party U-Haul dealer. I was on hold for 30 minutes before I hung up. I modified the reservation to 5 pm, received confirmation, and called the location again, but I was unable to reach someone. When I arrived at the location at 4:45 pm, the truck was nowhere to be found. There were several other people wondering where their rentals were, and tried to go into the store, but it was closed. I was unable to move my belongings last night, but please check out U-Haul of Crenshaw (if it makes sense for your move) because they are AMAZING! read more

We all know how stressful moving already is, and the last thing you want to have to deal with are roadblocks concerning the literal moving parts.. Med, the wizard who runs the show over at the United Mailboxes and Office Solutions location is not only friendly, and empathetic, but is a WORLD CLASS PROBLEM SOLVER. On multiple occasions, he has helped get me in a u-haul box truck or pickup, even when my reservations didn't show up or if the inventory didn't seem to exist. Med even went above and beyond with helping me get in touch with ACTUAL PEOPLE at other u-haul physical locations when I was experiencing issues/delays. Don't rent your uhaul from this business. They will cancel on you for someone else. Unreliable if zero was an option they'd get it

Three words best describe this location: CREDIT CARD FRAUD I had rented from this location simply because of the convenient location. Each rental got progressively worse. Aside from every truck and van rented to me was filthy here are a few of the incidences I had: (My comments followed by the U-Haul manager of this location over numerous rentals) Me: The truck looks like someone threw up in it. Him: Probably someone having party. (This 'vomit looking' material was in the truck for over 4 rentals and each week he would say 'we kept it in there because I knew how much you liked it') Me: This truck had no lights. We drove it at 4:30AM and had no lights. Him: What are you driving at 4:30AM for? Me: This truck's light controls were pushed deep inside the dashboard and could not be accessed. There was no way to access them. HIM: Well these trucks come in and out so quickly we don't have time to check them On one occasion they claimed their system was down and wrote down my credit card. To make a long story short, I now have a legal case pending with U-Haul for over $2000 in credit card fraud and discrimination. After reporting the location to U-haul for the condition of the trucks being rented, the manager discriminated against me and admitted to corporate that he would claim he had no trucks available. We were able to rent from them using another persons information. Now, with the unresolved case still open, they have the audacity to put a block on my account claiming I owe THEM for a rental. Corporate U-Haul is trying to make this credit card/descrimination case go away with an offer of $200 credit. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM FYI: They also try to be deceiving and listing on yelp under the business "U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer" Unfortunately I have to continue to rent U-Hauls almost weekly. I spoke to another location about the Beverly Hills Mailboxes location who informed me that they have 1- been shut down before and 2- have had other customers give similar stories of overcharging. read more

I needed a pick-up truck for taking a bunch of things out of my apartment (de-cluttering). The U-Haul location near me did not have one available the day I needed it, so they suggested I pick one up at United Mailboxes and Office. Who knew that some mailbox places also served as U-Haul rental offices? I didn't until yesterday. This place is very well run. The person who waited on me had Lenin and out in about five minutes and the truck I rented was in perfect condition. Really simple and it al aye feels good to patronize a locally owned business. With COVID-19 making Colleges virtual , I needed a Cargo Van or Enclosed Truck to move my son out of his Los Angeles apartment but as he has added some furniture, we were not sure how big of a moving vehicle we needed. So we didn't have reservations! Once in LA I knew we would need a least a 12' van, but all the vehicles from all companies were in mostly not available or wanted us to return the vehicle back to LA from NorCal! We called the UHail reservations line but it was having issues and so we decided to call a few Uhaul locations directly. Most were not helpful or did not have the inventory we needed and not all sold moving supplies. But Med and his wife were very helpful and he got us a bigger truck for a one way with dolly, moving blankets, boxes, tape, pads, mattress bags, you name it they had it and really set us up! They have many trucks, vans and also provide mailboxes and printing ! The customer service here is 100% ! read more
