Shout-out to Dong, who helped us out on Sunday afternoon right before closing when we needed a notary ASAP for an I-9 remote hire verification. After calling around and visiting a dozen or so other shops where the notary was out or couldn't handle these documents, we were relieved to finally find a notary for this. Even with other customers in the store near the end of the day, he was friendly, made time to walk us through the process, and efficiently filled out and notarized the documents. The rate is $20 for the notary services, and took us around 15 minutes right before the notary services closed up shop (they stop here at 2:30 PM on Sunday). read more

My experience is a bit dated (4-5 months) back. The lady manning the shop seemed quite efficient, but not at all customer friendly. She looks for every opportunity to upsell other packing materials which are sold here at much higher process than other retail outlets. Tried returning an item bought through Amazon using the same packaging that I got the items in. She refused to take them unless I repackaged using her expensive materials. I use a different UPS outlet in S Brunswick later in the day (I was traveling that way anyway) that was less picky. I had to ship some packages through UPS like I do weekly. I normally go to one of the stores in my town, but I was around my fathers house in East Windsor. I decided to go to the closest UPS store, assuming they all operated similarly. Holy cow was I mistaken. Where do I even begin? The single guy working, clearly grumpy and sassing customers. I brought in my 7 boxes. All had their shipping labels in the little plastic sleeves ready to be slapped on. I just needed the boxes opened and a paper put inside , then re taped. $2 a box plus tax for "retaping". What??? I have NEVER been charged for taping at ANY OTHER UPS store I have been to. Next, the worker proceeded to cut open the boxes and stuff the papers inside with an attitude that was almost palpable, like I was his parent and asked him to clean up his room. I left, decided I was never going back to this UPS, and didn't think about it since. I read the reviews before I went. I thought, " how can they only be two stars, it's just a UPS store ". I was wrong. I would rather drive 30 minutes out of my way to a different store than come back here. For what it's worth, this is literally the first review I have ever written in my life, that is how bad of an experience this store is. read more

Avoid this UPS location!! I had an awful experience recently and realized that this location is under new ownership after I tried calling and it went to voicemail. It absolutely shows.. This location used to have friendly and helpful people working here and now instead there's a rude, impatient guy. Trying to get something done which I've done here many times before became such a hassle and through it all, instead of suggesting another option until much later in the conversation, he decides to answer customer calls while I'm in front of him, waiting to have my order processed, and proceeds to argue with the customer on the phone in front of me. Very unprofessional! I wanted to let people know that the service at this location has done a complete 180, so please do yourself a favor and don't waste your time here. It's really not worth the aggravation. Update as of 10/19/21: In response to the below comment from the store, it's just not correct. First of all, it was never told to me that printing a label was such a big deal. It's a piece of paper.. I don't own a printer, so the old owners were nice enough to print the labels for me if I needed them after I asked if they possibly could. I've probably only been to the store a handful of times in the last two years. I know I came there since April though because I know I needed to send at least one package out this summer, so that's wrong. Another incorrect thing in the store's response is that there were no other customers in the store when I first came in. You weren't dealing with anyone else and you still weren't giving me your full attention. Also I clearly emailed the correct email address since I'd been there multiple times before and also emailed the same address. I also asked the man working there if the email was correct and made sure to go over it several times because he was being impatient about it. As if my time isn't important. That's why I left briefly and came back. I don't want to stand around and listen to you argue on the phone with a customer who's calling from home. Again, it was just me in the store. Went to this place to notarize a bunch of documents (about 22). Believe me when I say this is the worst UPS I have ever seen. The lady in the store wanted $5 for each signature on a document. For example, if you have 2 people signing the document, she would charge $10, even when she has to notarize it only once on the document. I have been to other UPS offices, particularly the one in Jersey City, NJ, and they are just fine charging on the basis of each notary seal. In this UPS, charge for copies of some of the documents was $10 (as against $5) - now this does not make any sense apart from the fact that they just want to extort people. She would also not notarize one side of a 2 sided document. I was still considering getting the work done as I had to apply for my son's passport the next morning, but the this one broke the bank: she wanted charge $10 for each copied sheet of passport (2 pages of passport get copied on each sheet you see!). With this, I promptly took my custom and left to check for other notaries. On top of all this, the attitude of the lady is unparalleled. I would stop using UPS if it wasn't for excellent experience I had at other offices. Tip for West Windsor residents: the UPS Plainsboro office charges $3 for each signature and each copy, including the passport copies. It is only 10 minutes away from this one. My wife and I had a negative experience with the service at this UPS Store. We went in to get two documents notarized and then sent overnight to an address in New Jersey. We requested a blue pen to sign the documents, as this is typical to prove they are originals. We were told that there were only black pens available to use for free, but we could purchase a blue pen for $2. Ok, fine, we'll buy your pen. But then the notary whips out a blue pen of her own to sign the documents. Why could you not lend us your pen? We are paying you $5/notarization, the least you can do is facilitate the process without an additional $2. It's a small thing in one sense, but it really sums up a lack of respect or generosity towards the customers. The constant scowling at us and our children only reinforced this perception. The moral of the story? If you're gonna use this store, BYOP(en)....and ignore the attitude you'll get. read more

I had to return a text book that had a pre-paid label. Manager was rude and tried to upsell her packaging and tape at a cost of $14.99. Then she got an attitude when I tried to use a visa gift card for payment and it didn't go through because she didn't advise me to process it as a credit card with a chip. I then used my debit card and she got flustered that I was switching payment methods. She then asked "If I could hurry it up" because she had a call to make. Will never use THIS location again. She is RUDE and a price gouger. The post office and Staples are MUCH friendlier and cost efficient. read more

the female middle age Asian Indian who works at front desk, stop working and chat with familiar(maybe) customers about her persona life... just keep other customers waiting who are already in the line and waiting for long...not only that, "The store does not have any floor-scale, all the packages(no matter how big or heavy) must weigh on the table-scale" she said and just stay aside, watch the customer difficultly lift the lager-heavy package onto the very small table-scale, and Did Not offer any helping hands... after all that, she pick up the hand-held scanner and scan on the pre-authorized UPS shipping label which is already on the package...and actually all need to do is just drop-off the package in the store, as people did at Plainsboro branch. Wish I could give this negative stars. UNBELIEVABLY rude customer service by what I assume is manager (did not catch her name, female middle aged Indian woman). Pretty speechless. Tried to mail an Amazon package and was told I needed to purchase tape to seal it (although last time was told it could not be sealed so they could place a return receipt in it). Her response was "things change and we have to read and comply with them." Tried to pay for the tape and was told they only take cash under $10. Asked where this was posted and was told "they don't have to post everything." Just flat out beyond terrible arrogant attitude. At least 5 customers in the store received similar treatment. I wanted to send a package the size of a letter cross-country and have it delivered within 2-3 days. They quoted a price of over $34 plus $8 for a box to put the package in. $34 is a ridiculous price and to pay $8 to put my box inside of their box is outrageous (same box can be purchased at Staples for $1.50). I decided to go USPS Priority Mail. It got there within 2-3 days and the whole thing cost $7.25. read more
