DO NOT USE THIS UPS STORE!!! We took a package there for Xmas because we needed a large box. We paid, verified the address, and left the box for them to pack and ship. The store was busy and it was holiday season. Our package got labeled with someone else's address and our daughter in Oregon got someone else's package - with our label! This store has been HORRIBLE AND SO UNHELPFUL in fixing the issue. We've been to the store once and called 3x. Each time we're told the manager will call us and since Dec 21, 2025 we've heard NOTHING!!! And been given the run around from employees. Also because this is a franchise, UPS as a company says it's the store's fault which makes sense since they mislabeled the package! read more

I arrived there just before 4pm and the black guy with long dreadlocks said "we're closed!" I told him I have just one small item and it's not quite 4. He yelled back "too bad, not my problem!" Utterly disgusting. UPS employees have some serious customer service problems and need more training. This guy should not be working there. I went to return a package. No other customers were in the store. As I was getting the package from my cart, a man came in behind me. The employee with long dreadlocks took the male customer ahead of me. When I protested, he said I wasn't "prepared." (It took me less than 30 seconds to pull my package from my cart.) He was rude and sexist. I had two other incidents at this store. UPS headquarters is totally indifferent to my complaints. I am not interested in seeing any PR baloney response from the manager of this store. If he/she truly CARED about remedying the problems, the same complaints on yelp would not recur over and over. read more

I have visited this location at least four times, and all four times have been for a different service. Every time I've gone there, the line was either short or moved very quickly. Every time I've visited, the customer representatives have been respectful, helpful, courteous and polite. They ask all the important questions, they answer all your questions and you leave feeling relieved and confident knowing your packages will arrive safely. At one occasion the representative asked if we needed her to add any padding or sealants to our items before shipping, I thought this was very thoughtful. She spoke Spanish which was helpful for my mom. She was able to ask her questions and understand the process a bit more. There is ample parking as it is located just outside Westfield Wheaton mall. You might not find a spot right in front of the store, but the garage is right there too. I personally never had an issue with parking. Oh and I love their hours ! So convenient ! I don't have to rush after work because they open until 7 during the weekday and offer Saturday and Sunday service as well. The store seems to have everything you need for packaging. I arrived at this store yesterday (Saturday, 8/5/23) at 3:53 PM in order to return a package for Amazon. When I asked to return the package, the man who was staffing the register told me that "Amazon is closed for the day." When I pointed out that the store advertised that it was open until 4:00 PM on Saturdays, he said that "the last ten minutes of our day are for closing up and I've already closed out Amazon." When I went on to point out that there was no such notice to customers on the store's windows or its website, he went on to lecture me that "we've been open all day, you could have come here earlier" and "the store is open at 8:30 tomorrow." Needless to say, I strongly suspect the employee was lying to me and simply wanted to avoid inconveniencing himself while he was talking to the woman behind the counter (I think she may have been a US Postal Service employee) with whom he was having an animated, non-work-related conversation. This isn't the first time I've encountered horrible customer service at this location. I could understand if I was dealing with government employees who are difficult to fire, but this is a private business - if their employees aren't treating customers well, they can terminate them. Instead, this store seems to be staffed by people who care more about their in-store social lives than about meeting the needs of customers. Oh, and I bet most of the "positive" reviews for this store were given by the employees' friends and family (or using their own sock-puppet Google accounts). Went to the store at 9:00 on Saturday morning to ship a package. The hours posted on line and at the store said they open at 9am. I waited until 9:21 and the store never opened. I'd actually give them zero stars if that was an option. I opened a PO Box with them and signed and agreement for 3 months which was the length of time I was planning on being in the area. I got a phone call four months after I left asking me if I wanted to terminate my PO Box and pay the balance due. I paid in advance for the three month contract and assumed that the contract would terminate at the end of 3 months but apparently this is not how this UPS store operates. They are billing me a past due balance for the four months past my initial contract and told me that I had to come in a terminate my box. Makes no sense since I only signed up for three months. Ridiculous customer service and the "manager" I spoke with failed to comprehend my argument that if I wanted to pay for a box indefinitely I would have and that when you sign an agreement for a stated time period a smart person would assume it's terminated at the end of the agreed upon time period. I don't know if this location changes owners or what, but it's gone from a least favorite to the best UPS store in the area. The staff has been super friendly and helpful every time I've been there recently. There are also convenient, reserved, 15-minute parking spots right across from the door for drop-off. read more

I wonder if this UPS store has changed ownership fairly recently as there is a couple working there now and not the lone, somewhat abrupt man. I haven't been to a full service UPS store in a couple of years with drop off locations so convenient in the area, but I needed an item insured before sending so we stopped by the Wheaton store. There is a pleasant couple working there now. As we entered the store Rich noticed a driver's license on the floor. He gave it to the owners and said he thought it might belong to the woman who had just left. They said no but they thought they knew whose it might. They looked up the lady's phone number in their records, and fortunately she was still in the mall and was able to retrieve her license. Nice of them to make the extra effort. read more

I only go to this location if I can't avoid it. The dude who works there is incredibly rude. He snaps at customers. And if you show up within an hour of closing, he says, "You had all day to come in. Very helpful and great customer service. I went there twice to drop off packages and returns. The person behind the counter was very helpful and made sure I was in and out of their store in mere minutes. The second time I went to s the store- it was closed but there was a sign that he will be back in 5 minutes (getting lunch). Surely enough, he was back in 4! Out of my past 4 visits, I think -- all simple Amazon return drop/offs -- only one has been hassle-free. The others were 1) no employee visible, wait a couple minutes with another customer, begin to wonder what's going on, lean just around the counter to face the opening to the back, say, "Hello?" and have the employee come out from the back and huffily say, "Patience is a virtue!" Followed by being told he could see me on camera, which....okay, but I can't see YOU and why wouldn't you come out if you see a customer there? 2) I arrived when they were supposed to open (I checked their hours) waited outside for 20 minutes thinking they were just running late, and then had to leave for an appointment (others were still waiting by the door, too, when I left). 3) I drive out there in the pouring rain, it's 2:15, so I figure I'm safe from late arrivals...and I get to the door only to see a hand-drawn sign saying "closed for lunch, back at 3." I have only been in this store one time but it was very important to me! I had paperwork with me for the closing on my house in Cincinnati OH. It had been delayed and I was frustrated by it. The notorized contracts had to be sent by next day delivery ground service. I tried to go to a CVS with UPS service but my google directions were not very helpful. The same was true of the CVS store as I called for help finding it. At the UPS store was the third person in line. My wait was very short! I told the man what needed to be done & showed him the envelope. I was assured that it looked ready to go. I double checked the contents and sealed it in his presence. I was told how to track it & then I asked how soon it would be delivered. With late day pickup today which was Wednesday it would be delivered by Friday morning. Leaving the store I felt a great weight lifted off my shoulders. The envelope arrived on time. Thank you UPS! The store has a very good assortment of supplies for your shipping needs and based on my experience the expertise to do do it right. Store parking is available in a nearby garage and parking lot. I dropped a package here, it was weighed and a receipt was given, 2 days later the receiver contacted me to tell me the box was empty and there was no sign of it being tampered with until I told them what tape I use and I put a safety seal in the box. Worst customer service ever! The employee working Tuesday at 5:15pm, August 8, 2023, was one of the most arrogant and rude employees I have ever met. He tossed my envelope and label on the counter and went about doing other work while chatting to a friend or colleague the whole time. Simply because I chose to stay around until the label on my very important document was affixed, he felt insulted and said "Let me give you some advice," this young man who was at least half my age, then lectured me that this was his job and he knows what he's doing. He chose to lecture me, give me attitude, and help everyone else in the store so I would stand there waiting until he put the label on my envelope. Recently stopped at this UPS Store for notarization. When I walked in and asked the employee about notary he replied they don't have that service. Meanwhile, the sign directly behind him had notary listed under "services". Then he says I needed an appointment for notary. I was so confused at this point. I then asked him when the next appointment is available and without even checking, he replied, "I don't know, next week maybe." This was on a Tuesday. So you're telling me there are no other appointments the rest of this week? I left and immediately called the UPS Store at Four Corners and the employee on the phone said notary is available without an appointment and I could walk in that day if I wanted to. Not sure what the employee at the Wheaton UPS Store was talking about but I was super annoyed and inconvenienced and won't go back to this location. read more

I had an odd experience here today. I brought in a package, and was told UPS ground to Boston could take 5-7 business days, depending on weather. Ok, I said, though that sounded like a lot. I was offered 3-day for 3x the price. I said I'd just take the box to the post office. The clerk then said UPS ground should arrive in 2 days (this Wednesday). She checked her computer, said the priority mail price was exactly the same ($14), and that USPS doesn't track and couldn't get it there in 2-3 days. This was odd enough that I took my package to the post office. Priority mail was actually $8.65, and I have a tracking number. Not sure what was up at UPS. Extra star - no line. read more

I went in to the store needing to shred some documents on Monday. I called before hand and got the price per pound and location. Drove with my 18 lbs of papers entered the store and a nice gentleman asked me what I wanted. I told him to shred my stuff. He gave me the quote and I asked how long will it take to shred. He says 2-3 days I have other stuff I need to do back there. I said ok so what do you do with it inbetween that time ( mind you these are sensitive documents) he said I put them in the back. I say hold on let me think about it. I cal other places because I wanted it shredded today at least put in a secure box. I couldn't find anything and was like ok I'll shred it. He says no. He won't do it for me anymore. I was like uh why? Because I asked questions? I said ok can I speak to the manager. He says I'm the manager. I said ok so can you explain to me exactly why you won't take my money. He gets agitated and says no I just said no. I ask for his name, he says tesfaye i ask for a last name and he refused. I was like who is the owner. He says he's the owner. I said ok, well what's the next closest ups store so I can get this done. He replies he doesn't know there isn't one. Now at this point I'm just shocked at this level of customer service. Anyways so I leave and go to the ups store on colesville road and the guy weighs my materials and put it in a secure bin. 2 minute transaction. I went there to send my UK VISA application. And the African American agent helped me processing all the information. He did not ask for my sent information, and I asked him if he knew, he said "yes, to the UK Consulate in NYC'. He assumed the wrong address of the return envelope in there, I spotted and asked him to help me changed it, and he printed me the receipt again with the correct information and told me he will put the new label on the envelope once he finished with his current customer; and the I received email confirms it. Two days later, my folks at home received my packet instead of UK Consulate, while the confirmation email of delivery still said it was delivered to UK Consulate. And by the time when they received it, this tore I went was already closed (after 7PM), so I called the 1800 number and was told that I should mail it again right away and go to the store next day for help. And it was a physical mistake the guy at store misplaced the new label on the outgoing envelope instead of the return envelope. So I basically had two envelopes both picked up from the UK Consulate, to send to 2 different addresses. Anyways, my folks mailed for me overnight and next day when I went to the store, I got my refund, but I was told they were not responsible for all the time I lost and money costed. This guy explicitly told me that "You should have called even if it's half hour past the store closing time, instead of the 1800 number to resolve this, and it is your problem to not to call after business hours of the store". And he keeps on asking questions such as "do you know if 2 days would make difference in my visa processing time?" Lots of irrelevant questions in trying to deny his mistake. And he said he is going to do NOTHING to help with all these damages due his obvious mistake. And he said, "I don't feel personally responsible for it". This is my experience, and I truly hope on one would have to go through something like this again. read more

i called to verify if the usaa deposit system was running, the young lady i spoke with told me yes, after asking her co-worker. i arrived with 4 checks to deposit, the young lady cut the bottom of the 1st check because she said " sometimes it gets caught in the machine". after a couple of attempts & asking her co-worker for assistance, she discovers that the system is down...well this is the exact reason i called to verify, so i wouldn't waste my time!! also with her cutting the bottom of the check, where the numbers are, it will not read anywhere else! with all that said, the young lady was very nice, but i can tell that they will just tell you any ole thing without confirming it themselves, more training is definitely needed, since their duties are more than just shipping packages. a complete waste of time, which made me an hour late for work...not pleased at all! read more

We always receive the best service from Atif...he truly cares as much as you do about whether or not your package arives safely and on time. They moved to a new location recently, but didn't bother to tell their P.O. Box holders of the move. No email announcement. Nothing. Although they claimed that the Post Office "knew" the new address and would continue sending mail to the new location, that was not the case. The Post Office is always going to be very specific about where they mail. And since they consider UPS to be a competitor, why should the Post Office go the extra mile to find the new location. As a result, I had a package was was returned. I had to reorder it. In addition, I've had several cases where packages were delivered on time, but they claim they couldn't find the package until I returned the following week. And finally, when I called one time to confirm the address, I ended up speaking to someone who could barely speak English, so I had a difficult time understanding him. And finally, to add insult to injury, it took them a long time to change their address on their website. They need to improve their customer service. read more
