Upon arrival, I was told I might not be seen because they were backed up, and that someone would let me know. I waited 25 minutes with no follow-up and no one at the front desk. In severe pain, I knocked and asked another staff member if I could be seen. I was told yes -- but the front desk clerk couldn't check me in because she was busy giving another patient an X-ray. After another 30 minutes, I was finally informed of a $50 copay. I asked why that was required, as I have never had to pay copays before, and I was met with nothing but rudeness, dismissiveness, and nasty body language that was just so uncalled for. The lack of communication, compassion, and basic professionalism here is unacceptable. I would strongly advise others to seek care elsewhere.

The front desk employee even requested my Social Security number in an attempt to locate my insurance information, but they still claimed they could not find it. When I offered to pay out of pocket so I could still be seen, the doctor appeared uninterested in helping me and gave me the impression that they wanted me to leave. Since the clinic was closing in about an hour, it felt like they were looking for a reason not to see me. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. The lack of effort to find a solution and the poor customer service left me feeling dismissed and uncared for.

The huge bill is a facility use - the equipment there is not my responsibility. If Oschner wants to keep building buildings and buying more equipment that's on them. The Kenner emergency group bill was for the attending doctor. $2400 for me to sit in a hallway and wait for some test results. The whole place is horrible - and the one bathroom for everyone in the ER was vile.

The office opens early in the morning, they always fit me in whenever I get sick (which considering I now carry an Epi pen is quite often apparently! Jk) and they get back to me ASAP! The staff treats me with dignity and respect and are friendly! My yearly exam includes a heart ultrasound, EKG, breathing test. Etc. and they can do all of this in-house! They have laptops so that your records are now electronically stored. The prescriptions get printed out which is awesome! There are also two parking lots which is convenient. Plus the waiting room is comfy with leather couches, regular chairs, flat screen tvs, magazines , kid toys etc. I would recommend them to all my friends and family! Addendum: as I'm waiting as a walk in patient (my normal doc has the day off so going to see one of the other two docs) I noticed that the bus stop is right in front of the office which might help people who use the bus out here! I also forgot that there is a mini parking lot out front too. In the examining room area on the right hand side there is a larger bathroom with baby changer. I'll post pix later. This was my first visit so I thought I would need to fill out new patient paperwork. However, they already had all of my information (I guess from East Jefferson), but that made the process go so much smoother. I was seen about 10-15 after my scheduled time, which was a win in a book. When to the Urgent care down the street and was tested seen and treated for a normal upper respiratory infection. It's a shame because I use them before and once you get passed the front.
