I recently bought a vacuum at the Vacuum Shoppe. I'm very happy with it but even better is the customer service. I ran over a blanket that fell under my couch. Absolutely horrible experience. Owner sold us the wrong head for our central vac even thou we brought our old one in. We came back the same day but he refused to exchange or refund. Never gave use a store receipt....printed out one after the fact and lied to the CC company when we contested the charge. To top it off, the piece was left with the vendor. Did not disclose to the CC company that he had the item. Still had to pay for it and he probably resold it. Was very rude and disrespectful. Be advise, avoid this place at all costs. read more

This gentleman is a fabulous ambassador of floor cleaning products and services. His store, staff, and professionalism speaks volume. The competition of the "big box stores" do not scare him at all simply due to his knowledge of this space and the variety products he offers. I was blown away by the Riccar R25. Brought in an Oreck vaccum in to have the belt replaced and inspect the unit. He took it in the back and came back 10 minutes later and it was in two pieces. Told us it had a broken neck, which needs to be replaced. DID NOT have a broken neck when we brought it in. Then tells us it's better to buy a new one. read more

I left my vacuum cleaner for repair and never received a phone call that the repair was completed. The owner was trying to sell me a new vacuum when I was dropping my vacuum. I was expecting a call when the job was completed but instead a month later he leaves a voice message that the vacuum is unrepairable and he is disposing it for me. When I called him that I want my vacuum back, he couldn't remember if he threw it out or not. He was rude and has horrible service. I have used his services before and it's always the same thing. He also never remembers his repeat customers. This place should be out of business. read more

The Vacuum Shoppe is an amazing place to go, especially if you are in need of fast, friendly service. The prices are very affordable, and the repair work has always been top notch! The staff are courteous and professional, always answering any questions and helping in any way that they can. This place repairs old vacuums, from Electrolux, Kirby and Oreck, to new Dysons, Mieles, and Riccars. They sell new machines as well, and include great service plans with each new vacuum you buy. It's not a high pressure sales environment, either, they let you test out whatever machine you want. The shop itself is very clean and organized, nothing like some of the local competitors I have seen in the area. An over all great atmosphere with helpful technicians! read more

Guy may be the biggest scammer around. Brought my Dyson in for a repair, when i went to pick it up he said he threw it away because it was over 30 days in his facility. Meanwhile my wife is calling him to pick it up and he said he would check on it and get back to her. but never did. He offered me another used vacuum of lesser value to replace the one he threw out but wanted to get paid for it. A real piece of work, I recommend to stay away!, He's a liar and a crook, I will be suing him. Dont go there! read more

I wanted to support a local business even though their vacuum belts on Amazon were $4.61 and his were $15.00. As I walked in the door I realized that this is the first business I've been in in a year, where the owner wasn't wearing a mask. No signs, no mask. After my purchase, as I was leaving, he suggested that I try a new vacuum he had and I told him that not wearing a mask was bad enough but that I wasn't touching anything in that store. I bought two more belts on Amazon and he will Never see me again. I've purchased from this store since it's opening but no more. read more

I have bought my last two vacuum cleaners to The Vacuum Shoppe.The staff are always knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. When I needed a replacement part they were able to determine my vac was still under warranty and changed out the part for me. I have a meile vacuum, which is a great model, but when it brakes its hard to find a good repair shop. I know i can trust vacuum shop with any brand vacuum i bring them to repair. read more

Had a Shark Ion robotic vacuum that was not working. Asked to have it checked for repair or battery replacement. I was told that I would be called the next day. 5 days later I called & was told to pick it up and send it back to Shark as they did not know how to fix it. Poor experience. read more

Don't go! They are dishonest and cheats. They gave me an estimate of $240 to fix my vacuum and then tried to sell me another one for $400! And it turns out the machine they tried to sell me is overpriced and not worth the money. I went to Queen Vacuum in Red Bank, NJ for a second opinion. They fixed my vacuum for $67, cleaned the motor, replaced the filters and bag, and polished the outside of the machine. It looked and worked like new. read more

I had a great experience with The Vacuum Shop. The on/off switch on my 13 year-old Oreck broke and I brought it in. Not only did they fix the switch, they provided a tune-up with new beater bar and belt, cleaned the whole vacuum and provided a new bag, all for a very reasonable price. They called a few days later to say it was ready - I'm a very happy customer and will recommend The Vacuum Shop to friends. read more

I boght and had them install a replacement central vac here. This was around 3 years ago. They replaced my old (5 year) central vac with a new galaxy 100. It never really worked right. Before I bought the customer service was great., meaning they called back. It never really worked right. It would start and stop and the suction was weak When I called to have installed right I never received a call back. I called so mant times. Finally I said on the machine I was going to have a small claims court . They called back and said so and so was suppose to call me... I called again and never heard from them again. I gave up. I am busy and I didn't save the receipt because I was an idiot. I wasn't getting anywhere and even though it kept starting and stopping it would kind of work. 3 years later it doesn't even kind of work. I don't recommend this place. read more

I've used them twice for repairing my old Eureka power boss. They do a great job. Nice people. Very reasonable prices and turnaround time for repairs. They sell some great machines as well. I'd give them zero stars if i could! Dishonest customer service!! Owner took my vacuum behind curtain, returned telling me it needed a new motor for $149.95. Wanted payment up front. Said he'd guarantee it for 3 months. I questioned why NEW motor would only have 3-month warranty, and told him I didn't like up-front payment requirement. Left and took my unit to Discount Vacuum in Middletown where they were VERY honest and gave me next day service--it only needed a new fan assembly for $69.95!!! Note: Discount Vacuum serviced my other machine there as well for $19.95 vs. the $74.99 that Vacuum Shoppe wanted to charge me. Worth the drive to Middletown. Also note: a new vacuum that i was looking at cost $50 more at Vacuum Shoppe. read more

Dyson advised me to take my vacuum cleaner to the Vacuum Shoppe located in Freehold for warranty repair. Dropped it off and received a call to come pick it up. When we got there we were charged a $32 "service fee" for cleaning.... We were never told that there would be a charge and we never authorized it..... Spoke to an employee and he refused to credit the charge... Would not recommend this business to anyone... read more

THE and I mean THE WORST customer service EVER!!!! Bought an Emer Donatello vaccuum from these guys. Within 3 months one of the tools stopped working. Called and they said they would take care of it. Fifteen and I m ean FIFTEEN calls later and the item still had not been sent out. Finally it was. Not even months later, the vaccuum itself stopped working. This is a vaccuum I use for a studio apartment once a week.... Called because it is under a 3 year warranty. Well now they don't carry them, but they will get a refurbished one for me and a replacement for the tool (yes the same tool that broke before). Spoke with Lloyd. Told me to text with a photo to him which i did twice, and emailed him 3 times as he asked AND called him 4 times and guess what???? Still no vaccuum. Finally got him on the phone today and now he says he has to charge me a 'fee' for the replacement. Terrible, terrible experience. read more

Vacuum Shoppe Installed My Central Vac in 2010. I have never had any major issues and it still works as good as the day I got it. Lloyd is the best. I had to replace my wall inlet/oulet and we went right to the store they have them in stock, which is rare today for most places! Well we changed it ourselves which was really simple but we didn't quite have it sitting right and we were getting this strange noise when we turned the vacuum off. I called Lloyd and he took the time to trouble shoot it over the phone for me explaining it could only be one of 2 things. And if it wasn't the wall inlet, then there was possibly something stuck in the hose and If I wanted to, I could bring my hose in and they would test it. But We played around with the outlet made some adjustments and problem solved! I love this place. And I wouldn't go anywhere else! They really give you old fashioned Customer service as it should be!! If you are considering getting a Central Vac System I highly recommend this place!! read more
