This now sixth-generation family bakery continues to follow the same simple, time-tested process that began in 1884 and nothing besides the delicious products represents this more than the historic structure that houses this hometown specialty bakery. Nothing says Louisiana like a taste of this delicious french bread hot from the oven, from the crusty exterior and light velvety interior it's needs nothing to take you back in time although a slab of salted butter could take the experience over the top. The staff here is so friendly and accommodating and are eager to share a part of the history - it's like no other place I've been, it was definitely a joy to see a business still operating much as it did when it started more than 142 years ago, this is a rare and unique opportunity to not only see but actually taste a bite of history and tradition.
