Justin is an absolute G! He's extremely friendly, funny, and knowledgeable about the craft. I have a peculiar mountain bike setup, but he's always been able to get er tuned up like new in the blink of an eye! He's got my business 100% of the time from here on out.

I can't say enough good things about the Velo. I started taking my fixed gear bike to them during the beginning of the pandemic when I wanted to get a tune up and upgrade some parts. At first I kept going back for parts & install because I usually had the best luck getting appointments. At that time appointments were being booked a week out or more. After my first tune up with them I knew this was the shop for me The guys are all super friendly, and the thing I appreciate the most is they won't push you to buy the most expensive upgrade or bike. They will find the right stuff for you and your budget. Since 2020 they have worked on my gravel bike as well as helped with an upgrade to the crankset and chainring... more upgrades coming soon I also purchased my first full suspension mtb from the Velo. There's a story behind me finding what I now call the terminator. It's a Spark RC 950. I love it!! The long of the short is I thought I was dead set on finding a carbon hard tail. But after chatting with the Justin and Jason and the guys, I realized that the Spark with full suspension was going to be better for a guy pushing 37 that wants be able to play in dirt for a very very long time. I got the most bang for my buck and was still right on budget. Velo bike shop for life yo! Muchos Gracías, Carlos Baca Ps- gravel bike pic does not have the upgraded SRAM crankset. I need to stop slacking a get a pick of it. ‍

I bought my first bike at the Velo 3 1/2 years ago when I began cycling. I have used them continually for support and service as I've discovered cycling. I recently began contemplating a new bike. I shopped around did my research and it was an obvious choice to purchase my second bike as I continue my relationship with a Cycling shop. They are fair and provide great service and support and a nice local vibe. They have assisted me with MANY aspects of cycling and the immense knowledge it requires. Ive never felt pressure to over buy and always treated fantastic

Attended a "Get your PHX" & Local First Event here. Was totally blown away by the Shop, the Staff, and the Location of this new business in the heart of the new Art District. Oh, didn't you know we have one? One really cool and growing Art District . . .with small galleries, local bars and breakfast restaurants, theaters, farmers markets, and . . .a one-of-a kind bike shop! I'm not much of a biker . . . well, OK, I admit it . . . I haven't ridden a bike since I was about 15! But the dream is still there . . . and I do truly appreciate seeing beautiful bikes. Do I know anything about them? Well, actually . . . again "No"; but that is what these guys are here for . . .to teach those of us who don't know a darn thing and to support those who own half a dozen bikes and love the art of riding. Stop in and get to know them. Smell the metal & rubber (or is it plastic these days?) and talk to the experts. Get a new bike, or a tire that you blew out the last time you rode that Slippery Rock Trail in Utah, or pick up some new socks & a "T", or get them to fix that locked gear. Whatever you need in the bike world, they can do it! And . . . while you are waiting for your mode of transport to be carefully re-adjusted, they have a small cafe with coffee, beer & small bites to keep the hunger pangs down. You can sit at the shop bar and watch repairs being done. Or sit in a cozy sofa and chill when the temps are 105 outside. Of course, if you crashed your "velo" big time, it might take a little longer than a cup of espresso to get it back on its wheels! But these guys can do it!

Nice people, nice place. I came here to get my bike tires filled and they treated me like a friend. Nice drinks too.

As my biking experience continues-my first round of upgrades on my bike were done today. After seven months of riding my Cannondale gravel bike I bought from Velo-it was time to add a few upgrades. Jayse and Nick were beyond fantastic helping me make the BEST decisions on what was the pathway for me. They got the work done and my test spin at the shop was superb. Love this place-they get to know you and your biking and help with great advice. Friends take friends to The Velo! This team has your back.

From the first time I set foot in the Velo I felt like an old friend, the customer service here is really outstanding. I purchased a bike from the Velo in November. Recently I brought the bike in for service, upon inspection I found out I needed a part that was backordered. The Velo's response was to loan me one of their premium demo bike, I was blown away. I couldn't be any more happy with their customer support. Jason (the owner), Erin, and Justin are really friendly and have made me feel like I'm part of the cycling community from day one. I would highly recommend the Velo to anyone looking for a great bike and even better service.

After cooperating with Velotric's warranty department to troubleshoot, they concluded what was obvious: it needs a new battery. Only after several weeks of back and forth troubleshooting did they inform me they have no batteries in stock and it would be another 2 months until they had any. They provided no compensation of any kind for the major disruption, nor did Rogue Electric Cyclery. Both Velotric and Rogue Electric Cyclery continue to sell new very expensive Fold 1 bikes that come with new batteries. What started out as a Google search to rent a quality and fun mountain bike, at an affordable /fair price, lead us to Scottsdale Bike Company. Quick call on the drive from California confirmed they had what we needed. Upon arrival they noted we were stacking the bikes in the back of our suv, and one of the guys offered his personal hitch rack to ease our load and set it up for us. After a fun hour at the Mesa bike park, we had my gfs son's personal bike break. After fiddling and realizing the severity we quickly ran back to SBC just before closing. The guys got right to work without much more than a question to see if they could get us back on the road before we left the shop. I rented a Large MTB and they offered to swap us out for a bike more fitting for the 12 year old. I said thanks, we'll take it. They then insisted I didn't miss out and sent us on our way with another bike rental. A beautiful amazing and quality full suspension MTB. They inspected each unit thoroughly. Noting one had some damage, and despite them being able to send us with it, they did not. They ensured they sent us on the trails with a solid well looked after unit. As we came back to return the next day, and pick up the bike. They did everything they could to get us running, but it being a 10 year old model (They didn't have parts on hand) they offered to help but would take time to get parts, we're just in town for a short while. When I asked what we owed them for inspecting and trying to fix it, they declined our payment outside of the rentals. True gentleman, incredibly kind, generous with their time and resources. I'd pay every penny to them for parts, service, even a purchase. Whether visiting, or a local, take a minute to give them a chance to have your business! You won't regret it. As honest as they come.

And yes, the shop owner was aware of my husband's Alz diagnosis prior to accepting the service request. My neighbor Greg, who I asked to leave our family alone in February 2025, took my ill husband with younger Alz and his bike in to this shop in July 2025. The neighbor struck a deal with my husband's mother to pay for the service. As my husband's medical power of attorney (btw he has a court appointed conservator for financials), I was never informed. When my 5yo daughter and I got home, my husband had no idea where his bike, his backpack, or his cell phone were. All was lost in the time that I went to have lunch and pick up my daughter from kindergarten. On our wild goose chase that evening when I should've been helping my daughter with homework, brushing teeth, and evening routine, we found his bike at this bike shop, and then my husband vaguely recalled some intervention by our dirty gossip-Gabby, Nosey Nancy neighbor Greg who refuses to leave our family alone. Little did the shop owner realize that our family had been in legal battles with my husband's aggressive horrible mother for 3 years. She has lost every futile battle, yet she keeps trying. Her latest failed attempt involves threats of legal action regarding my daughter. So the neighbor Greg striking a deal for my husband's mother to pay for his bike? No. Not allowed. My husband's conservator even refuses to answer his mother's calls due to her belligerence. So unfortunately, this shop should educate themselves on accepting service requests from persons with Alzheimer's, and understanding that you need to communicate with the POA prior to service acceptance. The outcome: I accepted the invoice and paid from our marital account, even though I never (nor did the conservator) requested or agreed to this service. EDITED TO ADD: When we all came in for me to pay and pick up his bike, I asked the shop owner "do you know he has Alzheimer's?" he said YES. So please, if you are a business owner and you knowingly accept a service request from someone with a severe cognitive impairment, you MUST ask for POAs to ensure this is the right decision for that person. Someone told me "what are you supposed to do when someone with Alzheimer's has a broken bike?" You find the Medical and/or Financial POA for that person and work as a TEAM. You don't take matters into your own hands - this is literal exploitation of a vulnerable adult. Fortunately for us, my husband is now placed in memory care so he cannot be exploited, and so we don't end up with wild goose chases around town when I need to be working and raising my daughter on my own. Shame on everyone involved who caused confusion in my husband and harm to our family.
