Everything looked just the way I had envisioned it & how Connie & I had talked about. She was really able to take my vision & make it reality. She had done many weddings at the location of my wedding before but many of my guests who had attended there said they had never seen the hall look so stunning as it did that night. She also did the outside for the actual ceremony, which was just as stunning. The communication with Connie was very comforting to know that on such a big day she was taking care of some of the most important details. She was always quick to return my calls or email. She had the BEST pricing around & she would be the exception on the old phrase, " You get what you pay for" with A Special Occasion you get a WHOLE LOT MORE. Her staff even helped break down things later in the evening that they didn't have to clean up so we could focus more time with our guests. She has great working relationships with many of the hall rentals, she worked VERY well with our caterer in coordinating times so that I didn't have to. She is an A+ class professional but she makes it seem like you're just an old friend that she is there to help. You won't go wrong choosing her & her team.

Lisa's communication was top-notch. She answered every one of my questions promptly and thoroughly, and she was always available when I needed help. Lisa even stepped in when there was an issue with one of my vendors. Through Lisa's guidance and assistance, we were able to work everything out perfectly. Lisa also has an incredible eye for detail. She was extremely organized and covered details that I didn't even think of. I went into my wedding fully confident that Lisa would not miss a thing. Lisa is also just an incredible person. She's kind and hard-working. Not only do I consider her to be an amazing coordinator, but I now consider her my friend. It's rare to find someone as good-hearted as Lisa. On the day of my wedding, everything went perfectly. Lisa met me in my suite while I was getting ready and gave me the cutest bag filled with little goodies. She made me feel like there was nothing I needed to worry about on the day, and even handled some last minute issues that popped up without me worrying one bit. We had a non-religious ceremony and Lisa made me feel comfortable and planned everything exactly how I wanted it, even though it we left out many of the typical wedding traditions. If I had it to do over again, the only thing I would change is reaching out to Event Sisters sooner to have them help in the entire planning process. Julie, of Beach Ceremonies by Jules is just that person. With every email or phone call sent her way, she responded nearly immediately with a great personality and the answer that we were looking forward to hearing. Our wedding was slightly more complicated by the very nature of my now husband's entrance. He decided that he was going to enter the ceremony via jetski. This took some careful planning and a lot of help from mother-nature, but combining all of these factors made for an amazing, and unforgettable entrance. How does Jules fit into this scenario? As my now husband sat in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico on my jetski, he awaited the call on his walkie-talkie that it was time to make his entrance. Julie timed it perfectly. Just after the wedding party arrived, they all turned and looked out into the water, as he came flying in. Timing was perfect. Thanks Jules! In the end, Julie provided my husband and I with a perfect ceremony on a perfect day. I highly recommend Beach Ceremonies by Jules.

    I feel obligated to share our experience to warn others considering The Garden Ballroom in Haines…read moreCity, Florida. My sister chose this venue for one of the most important days of her life, and unfortunately, it turned into one disappointment after another. The bridal suite was completely unacceptable. It was tiny, there were spiders on the ceiling, water was actively leaking from the ceiling into a bucket, and there wasn't even a private restroom for the bride and bridal party. From the beginning, we were told that everything would be run on "military time" and there would be no flexibility whatsoever. We were given virtually no opportunity to make adjustments or personalize the schedule to fit the bride and groom's wishes. The event coordinator's approach was cold, controlling, and unnecessarily confrontational, making everyone feel uncomfortable rather than supported. The event coordinator was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the entire planning process and on the wedding day. Instead of helping to make the day special, she seemed determined to make everything more difficult. The food was poor quality and disappointing. Guests were not served drinks at their tables and instead had to get them from the bar themselves. There wasn't even water or soft drinks available on the tables, which is a basic expectation at a wedding reception. We specifically asked in advance whether a projector was available and were assured that it was. Upon arrival, we were first told there wasn't one. After we discovered that a projector actually existed, we were informed that it would cost an additional $200 just to use it for a four-minute slideshow. This felt misleading and completely unreasonable. To make matters even worse, a staff member scolded my two-year-old daughter because she wasn't standing in line to get fruit. Speaking to a toddler that way was completely unacceptable. Later in the evening, we wanted to take a quick photo with sparklers. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the event coordinator yelled directly at a 65-year-old guest in front of everyone. There was absolutely no reason to speak to anyone that way, especially at a wedding celebration. The final incident was beyond belief. We had purchased and brought our own alcohol to the wedding. At the end of the night, the venue refused to let us take home the unopened bottles that we had paid for ourselves. Instead of resolving the situation professionally, they called the police and accused us of trespassing. Thankfully, the responding officers quickly recognized how unreasonable the situation was and made sure our property was returned to us. No family should have to deal with this level of disrespect, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior on a wedding day. A wedding venue should help create lasting memories for the right reasons--not become the source of stress, embarrassment, and conflict. Based on our experience, I strongly advise anyone considering The Garden Ballroom to think twice before booking this venue. We would never recommend it. There was only 3 iced coffees for 75 people

    I recently attended a wedding at Legacy Lane Weddings in Brooksville. It was an absolutely stunning…read moresetting for someone's big day. The wedding ceremony took place outside under a large tree. The tree is located to the left of the White House, a large plantation style home, that serves as the "Bridal House." This house includes a pool and is large enough to accommodate the bride and her bridesmaids as they prepare for the event. After the ceremony we moved to a pavilion (called The Legacy Pavilion). Here we listened to music and ate some food while pictures of the wedding party and family were taken. The pavilion was beautifully decorated and shaded (despite the four thirty wedding time, it was still pretty hot out). The reception took place in the property's carriage house. It was once a six-stable barn which has been transformed into an air-conditioned reception space. It had vaulted ceilings and easily housed all the people that attended. The space had plenty of room for guest tables, a dessert location, a photo booth, a bride, groom and bridesmaid seating area, food setup, bar and dance floor. The venue included valet parking, which made finding a place to park your car a non issue. It also had some outdoor games (corn hole) that one could play while waiting for pictures to be taken. The property, according to the bride, also includes lots of on site cabins that family members and wedding guests could stay in. I didn't venture back to that part of the property so I can neither confirm nor deny these cabins. Legacy Lane Weddings in Brooksville was an incredible place for a wedding. If you get the privilege of attending a wedding here, you will not be disappointed.

Their attention to detail and passion for their work shines through and made our event so special. Their communication and close work with our wedding planner made us confident that everything would go off without a hitch. Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was! We had about 35 of our closest friends and family stay on the property with us in the comfortable, clean, and unique accommodations.
