This is a really great brewery and the owners are seriously the sweetest! I believe they said they are originally from Wisconsin? So immediately I felt welcome with that Midwest feel. He gave us samples of the beers and talked about all of them in detail which was really fun to listen to. You can tell they really care about their product. read more

Really enjoyed The Very Nice Brewing Company... we often stop here when we're in Nederland. They're dog friendly and always have a full house of peeps with their pups. The space is a bit small, reframe: cozy, but there's plenty of room for a decent crowd. They often have live music on the weekends which is always cool and we've ordered pizza from the place directly above the brewery - we were really impressed and had no leftovers, lol. Pizza aside, Very Nice Brewing has a few snacks and non alcoholic options also. Last fun fact: one of the beer tenders makes homemade beer soap that you can purchase and they also offer dog treats and local artisan wares. If you're in the area for any reason (maybe a cool hike to Lost Lake like we did), check em out. Everyone was way friendly and laid back - our kinda people! read more

Nederland's resident brewery has excellent brews and fast, attentive service. I've not had a bad beer here, but my favorite is the Monk's Phunk. Hot food is not served, but snacks are, and it's fine if you buy a pizza from the shop upstairs and carry it into the bar. Ultimately, this place serves as the true Nederland community center and one should expect to find clientele spanning all ages, including children hanging out with their coloring books and pets. Really loved this place! Small and quaint but exceptional service. I got the Steffie's Heffe and it was full of flavor. The brewery allows outside food so we grabbed pizza from upstairs and waited until it opened to enjoy. It didn't open until 2p on a Friday and we considered not waiting but honestly, I'm so glad we stuck around. read more

We found ourselves in Nederland one Sunday afternoon and decided to make a couple stops for some beers while we were in town. We saw a sign for a brewery and of course had to find out what that was all about. They were out of a few things because of a very busy weekend but I was able to find an IPA that I liked and hubby was able to find a beer that he liked too. Our beertender was super friendly and engaged us in conversation while we sat at the bar. There were a lot of locals that were also super friendly and gave the place a great local vibe just like we look for on our small mountain town adventures. Dog friendly place so Fido don't have to freeze in the car. They don't serve food but there is a pizza place upstairs or a mountain market next door. They have finger foods like chocolate pairings and NederCheddar the best popcorn I've had in life. I told my friend I was in Nederland, his response was "what are your doing in Europe?" The vibe was so chill with a TV playing the Broncos game, my fav from flight of sample beers was the Steffie's Heffe Heffeweizen. read more

Three stars perfectly fits my "A-OK" visit to Very Nice Brewing. I thought the beer was average and service was just fine. I'd honestly like to give it another shot though, especially if they host live music from time to time. You can't go wrong with Very Nice, but from my experience it won't be a wowing one. read more

After a long hike in the area, this place fell on my radar. A cold brew after a long hike is almost always a requirement. Very Nice Brewing provides the right atmosphere to pop in and relax. Board games, friendly bar staff, and good brews ready for the pour are a plenty. Hungry? They can't help you here, but you can always bring in food from around and still enjoy your drink. What's the one thing you'd want after a long hike up a mountain? A nice cold beer. We had just do finished hiking up Hessie's Trail to Lost Lake and we needed a reward.....a cold refreshing beer. Located in Nederland, this quite small town is nestled in the mountains in a small shopping center. Since I wasn't ready just yet for a beer, I sat wth my friends while they enjoyed some IPA's. No food served here, but they do have a snack menu. I think some of the snacks are prepared locally, but not 100%. More of a locals brewery. Super friendly bartender and the music is actually a couple of turn tables that are hooked up to speakers and you can choose any record, yup record, to play next. Clean and quaint. The wood work around the bar was natural wood with natured curves. There are tables around the bar and restrooms are located in the back. read more

A nice local brewery with some top notch liquid refreshment. On a road trip across the State. This is a good watering hole. The Logical Fallacy is superb, I could drink it as my only beverage until the end of days. Steffie's Heffe is a very balanced beer and Monk's Phunk knocks it out of the park. Stop in for a pint. I love Yelp because I come across places like this!! This brewery is tucked into a shopping plaza. You can easily walk from anywhere downtown(they have a little walking trail) or there is plenty of parking in the plaza. The bartender was super sweet and let me try beers before ordering and they had an eclectic, tasty line up for their beers. They even have a beer that is a beer that some of the profits gets donated towards charity! I went with the espresso porter and wow! So delicious. They have board games, darts, open seating, and a television. I also appreciated that they had plenty of snacks for purchase, especially after a long hike. They have live music on certain nights! I only had the porter, but can't wait to taste more! read more

Great little find in Nederland! Small, friendly brewery tucked in a strip mall. You can bring food in from outside, and eat while enjoying a beer. I had the pale ale, and really enjoyed the flavors. Very friendly bartender, good atmosphere. Missed the live music, unfortunately, but would definitely encourage folks to check it out! read more

This is a brewery that lives up to its name - very nice. The regulars are greeted by name, and first-timers are treated like they're regulars. Had the "Munk's Phunk" Belgian ale and "I Enjoy Schuhplatteln by Myself" lager. Both tasted great and the brewery environment was very welcoming. Will definitely be back! read more

What's in Nederland? Turns out, there's a brewery, that is indeed Very Nice. We stumbled upon this place after trying a new way back to Denver. Saw signs for Nederland and expected a 50-person mountain town. Turns out it's a real place, and has a good brewery to boot. Atmosphere is low-key. Dogs chilling inside and outside, local drunks trying to keep both cheeks on the stool, etc. They make some potentially strong beers, so the local drunk, unaccustomed to anything other than Coors Light, must have had tried to keep his usual pace and failed miserably. They're limited on food but do have a few snacks, and there's a pizza joint upstairs. The beers range from okay to great. Some were a bit meh, so I suggest you go for a sampler for $11 (for 8, 4oz pours) and see what you like. read more

Discovered this brewery last summer on the drive back to Denver. We thought we'd walk around Nederland, we heard music and followed it to the VNBC, where we not only found a great place, we also found/met a great band (see below). One thing I will say we enjoyed about the VNBC and Nederland, is the people. Very friendly, very chill. You go here and you can just check out of whatever else is going on in your life and enjoy what's around you. The brew selection good, as is the service. Limited food; but there's a pizza place above. Seating is mostly picnic tables and the front windows/doors were all wide open.Totally dog friendly, as it should be. The band was Acoustics Anonymous, the members of whom we befriended in this most excellent intimate setting. If you are not following them, you should. They are playing here again on June 21 (as well as in Boulder and Denver over the weekend), and we're going back. read more

Thanks to Kat M. For recommending this gem to us! We drove down from Estes Park to see the beautiful fall foliage and mountains and finally made it to this brewery! What can I say their selection of beers include: pale ales, IPAs, stouts, and other delicious beers and all at great prices! Cool place to enjoy some delicious beers and strike up good conversation with staff and other visitors. Very Nice Brewing is a small batch craft brewery. We opened our doors on October 25, 2012 in the beautiful mountain town of Nederland, Colorado where the motto is “life is better up here”. Our brews are a reflection of the passion, experimentation and dedication of a home brewer who followed his dream of creating amazing beer to be served in a family-friendly, pub-like atmosphere. Jeff, with his wife Susan, accomplished that and more with the tasty brews, friendly ambience, and mountain-folk hospitality found in the tap room. The love for our community keeps us giving back through our charity beer program. To date we’ve donated over $24,000 to local charities and individuals in need. We’ll also help however we can with food drives, clothing drives, and special events to help our local non-profits. Visit us at our Nederland tap room, or at our Gilpin County tap room!

SPACE/ATMOSPHERE: You can tell that the space was definitely a bar in it's previous life. Inside it's cozy like a hunters cabin. There's a pool table, wood burning stove, and a few mounts on the walls. I chose to cozy up to the bar, so I could chat a bit with the beertender during my visit. BREWS: I opted to sip on the Katie Says (a chokecherry honey wine) during my visit. This 12% ABV mead is def a sold brew and the nitro makes it super smooth and it had zero cough-medicine-esque notes. The chokecherries are locally sourced from the very own yard too! How fun! They have a small variety of every brew style available and a handful of guest taps too. SERVICE: The beertender working was super helpful and friendly as I browsed the tap list. She offered to answer any questions I had and brought over a food menu to in case I was craving something more substantial with my beverage. EATS: They share a space with The Dean West Restaurant and Brewstillery, so they do offer a variety of eats out of the from scratch kitchen. From burgers and sandwiches, to appetizers - they definitely have you covered. I find myself driving through Kremmling a few times a year and would gladly make a stop to see what new things Grand Adventure Brewing Company is brewing up! Cheers, Kremmling!

This is a local dive bar. Do not expect a restaurant. If you love dive bars this is for you. The food was great and the waitress was wonderful. The only negative I have is that it does smell like mold in here but, again, this is a local dive bar. All in all, this was a pleasant experience. I recommend it.

Beer is top notch, though IPA-heavy. Staff is friendly, even when crowded, and the space is large, with enough indoor & outdoor seating to make wait times sail by! Burgers are there specialty; I tried their Italian French Dip, and it was alright -- I liked my wife's burger better. To kick-up the Dip, though, I recommend spooning on some of the Green Chili at the bottom of the Chili Cheese Fries you ordered (you did order those, right?) and dip that in the ajus -- messy, but oh-so-good! Next time we're rolling back from points west, we'll give W&D another try.
