Although I have been here a few times in the past for dinners and other events, have never really been able to sample their pizza until we were invited to a child's bday party over the weekend. They brought out a number of pies including a supreme, mediterranean, and a cheese and everything was delicious. All the pizzas were cooked well with all them having extra crispy thin crusts and delicious toppings. Their seltzer selection is also excellent with some local and smaller breweries being represented. Overall it's a great spot, but can get a little packed especially in the winter. read more

As we were heading to the airport after a delightful stay in Estes Park, we made an impromptu stop in the charming town of Lyons. Although we hadn't planned on dining, the inviting ambiance of MainStage Brewery drew us in, and we decided to stay a while. I was staying in Lyons and decided to grab a bite here after a long day of hiking in Rocky National Park. MainStage Brewing is located on the main road through Lyons. I am a big fan of trying the local beers of a new town that I am staying in. MainStage Brewing is all about community, music, good food and beer. They have a vibrant outdoor patio area. People looked like they were having a good time when I got here. I am an ale guy and got their Sawtooth Ale. They have a number of unique pizza creations here at MainStage Brewing. I was a little hesitant at first, but the bartender sold me on their Butternut Squash & Prosciutto pizza. I love those ingredients, but have never tried them all together on a pizza. I gotta say, that pizza was an excellent choice. The ingredients were high-quality and fresh. I enjoyed the friendly service that I got here too. It was fun to sit at the bar and watch the kitchen staff crank out these pizzas. It brought me back to the days when was a line cook. read more

Yes yes yes! This beer and pizza are so good!! We had the elote pizza without the chorizo (vegetarian husband) and it was so flavorful! The Sun Puddle beer is my favorite! And our bartender was hilarious! He made us feel welcome and made me laugh several times. He's definitely in the right line of work! The only thing I'd say to improve is the dining room. Every table was dirty when we got there and we were swatting away the flies while we ate. Otherwise excellent experience! read more

Lyons, Co. I was initially hesitant to order dinner from a beer bar, but it was convenient, and it wasn't festival food. They were not busy, I simply walked in and ordered a Supreme, 14 inch. We also got a salad that had sun-dried tomatoes in it. If you are hungry come here. The pizza was actually 16 inches and loaded. We ate half and took the remainder back to our lodgings and had it for lunch the next day. It was a delicious thin crust wheel that was delicious. The salad was fresh, tasty and HUGE, in spite of being a half order. Generous portions seem to be the rule here, awesome! read more

Looking for a place to eat before a Planet Bluegrass concert, we got lucky and selected MainStage Brewing from the many downtown Lyons options. Greeted by fun staff members, we ordered our food with their help and sat outside under the music stage. They have indoor and outdoor options, but it was a hot weekend day, and we wanted the combination of shade and being outside. I loved the garlic knots appetizer, five yummy knots, and the marinara sauce was right on target. I LOVED the BLT Melt, which was a tasty bacon and mozzarella combination on a toasted bun that was perfect. And the fries were outstanding, plentiful, and with a staff-recommended ranch sauce that made it even more delicious! They have live music nearly nightly, a great option for a date or a bigger group. Whether en route to Rocky Mountain National Park, exploring the mountains, or headed to Planet Bluegrass, this is a quality option! read more

We stopped in Lyons on our way out from Estes Park, Co on our way back to the airport. We checked Yelp and decided to go to MainStage Brewery. What a fun place! We had the Toasted Italian Sub and it was EXCELLENT. So good and their onion rings were beer battered and delicious! Their pizzas are HUGE and they sell pizza by the slice (which were also huge). We had just finished a long hike and came here for a few slices. It was my 1st time and my boyfriend's 2nd time eating here. The pizza is excellent! We ordered two slices each - pepperoni and cheese. The pizza is thin and crispy and delicious! The host was very personable and hilarious. He warned us that they were running long on delivering orders due to an event, but it didn't take too long to get our order. We ate on picnic tables in the back. My wife and I stopped here on our way home after a hike in the national park. MainStage is a lively spot, very family friendly. At first we were frustrated with the process of ordering at the table on your phone. This is very impersonalble and more time consuming than ordering with a person at the table or at the counter. After ordering, all was great (5 star). We ordered two flights of beer, they arrived quickley and they were delicious! It is rare that we have 10 diffirent tasters and they are all really good. The food came shortly after. We both had half sandwiches and they were both delicious and enough to fill us up. My wife had the BLT Melt and I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, which had a slight kick to it. The fries were good, but could have been a bit crisper. Would have been 5 stars except for the ordering provess, but full disclosure my wife and are are 60+. read more

Great pizza, great calzones (I suggest them all the time) Love the idea of the Brussels sprouts but have never been executed correctly. A little too pricey for half of them being almost inedible. The first time I got them they were PERFECT. Next time they were raw and the last two times I got them they weren't really cut off the stock and the razor sharp ends were impossible to cut off or bite off. I'll probably stop getting them. read more

Great beer selection especially when coming with a group that may like different beers. They have a few of their own beers as well as other local beers on tap. The pizza smelled amazing but I didn't try for myself. Recommend for a casual drink or a meal. Counter service but staff very very friendly! Woah - We are locals and the utter rudeness of the staff is appalling. The Pizza was great, outside patio vibe was good, but nothing, and I mean nothing would be powerful enough to overcome how RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL the staff act at this place. A few observations: 1) You take a number to your table for them to bring pizza. We waited for 45 mins for ours before finally asking about the delay, only to be chastised for the staff not being able to find our number (which was prominently displayed at the end of the table, but okay, blame us for the incompetence). 2) The big guy doing the kitchen expeditor role should be fired. You know you have a real jerk on your hands when your 7 and 10 year old ask "why is the guy at the kitchen counter being so mean to all the customers." I literally watched him pick on a guy for putting too much parm powder on his slice! 3) Multiple times everyone inside was hushed by the staff via a loud whistle and the staff was barking at other kids for running to the bathroom. We're local, and this visit was a TOTAL disappointment. Running off the locals isn't a good foot forward for being successful in Lyons during the slow winter months. Sheesh! So, in summary it's a real shame that a place with the recipe for a good product is being tarnished by staff that is lacking some serious management. read more

Quick review for MainStage Brewing We arrived on a Friday afternoon and ordered the Italian sando and our friends ordered the BLT Melt. Bottom line these sandwiches were AMAZING. No joke 10 out of 10. The roll was slightly toasted and came with some Italian cold cuts, fresh lettuce, tomato, red onion, and dressing (oh, comes with good fries too). Very fresh and super tasty. An absolute must. I also ordered a small pizza to share but it was ok. Not the best I've had but still good. They also have some local beers on tap. I had the Stage Light beer. It was super cold and went down smooth. These sandwiches were so good that I would never order anything else and can't recommend anything else. As for the location, it has a chillax hippie vibe. Nothing too crazy and the staff were friendly. We sat outside in the patio. It was all small rock and had some chairs but mostly picnic table seating. All in all, this place was a great place to grab a bite and drink some local brews. My score 9 out of 10. Highly recommend. Did I say the sandwich was an absolute top 5 of all time?
