The view on the square offers so many great amenities and amazing floor plans. They also are in an amazing location right off the town square offering walking distance to great shops, restaurants, and bars. But most importantly the staff at the view is amazing!! I recently called and spoke to the property manager, Alison, and she told me it was a quiet area to live. I am desperately looking for a place to live next year, but when I visited it was right next to the rail road tracks and incredibly loud. The property also claimed to be smoke free, but several employees were disrespectful gossiping when I approached and vaping indoors. After speaking with some residents I found out that the management not only does not handle noise complaints and disrespectful roommates, but Allison dismissed two grown men coming in to young college girls apartments in the middle of the night yelling EXTREMELY profane things at them and verbally threatening them. When the girls complained to management about their roommate letting these men in and then permitting the men to stay (in spite of these threats) management did not do anything about it. The young girls told me Allison herself said things along the lines of "it's hard being a woman" and "it happened a couple nights ago so we won't be discussing it" and completely disregarded the health, safety, and mental well being of young girls living alone for the first time. I can put up with the trash, roaches, poor management, bad property upkeep, train tracks, and loud residents. However, I decided I will not live in an environment that allows ANYONE to experience threatening sexual language and blames it on the victims. When I heard these two roommates recall this event I was appalled. My review continues to be taken down but I decided to persevere after I saw that very interesting response they provided to a tenant. read more

My daughter was scheduled to move into this apartment and we had signed a lease, but when I went to visit the building I was horrified by the conditions. We were able to walk right in the supposedly secure building, the gate was wide open in the parking area and the lock was broken on the back door. It smelled like urine in the stairway and there was a puddle of liquid which I assume was in fact, urine. The hallways had roaches and stains all over the place. When we went back out to the parking area someone had parked in the space next to us and was DOING DRUGS in his car. We left and I called the manager, Jordan immediately and told him there is NO WAY my daughter was living there. He stated that there was no chance for her to get out of our lease and he sent us to collections. Now we owe $7000 to a collections company, my daughter's credit will be ruined all because I refused to allow her to live in these conditions. I would avoid this apartment building at ALL COSTS. read more

DONT LIVE HERE! When I moved in they didn't tell me that my windows leaked until after the first time it rained. Every time it rains you get a puddle of water on your living room floor. The view bus sucks and is very inconvenient, it takes a break from 11-1 which is prime time to get to campus. It drops you off on the very far side of campus so you have to go very early because it is a far walk. the hallways smell horrible becayse they are carpet and they are extremely stained. During spring there are crickets coming out of the vents and the base boards because the apartment is overall just NOT clean. I recommend living anywhere but here. read more

Let's just start off by saying, my 3 y/o sister can communicate more clearly than this establishment, I have been living out of my suitcase in a hotel w unsecured wifi, while still paying over 1,000 p/month for 2 months, and I just got a email today saying that I have to stay another 2 months because they keep failing inspections from the state.. this has effected my education tremendously in the worst way, I literally have to go out of my way to do homework or do anything that involves technology. Why would they offer people a place to live for 2 years now and still have no one place foot in the actual building. At this point this company and whoever the hell is running it should be refunding everyone they promised a home to. I'm pissed if u couldn't tell.. do better veiw!! read more

This is the worst apartment complex I've ever been in. 2/10 wouldn't recommend at all. The inside of the building is always dirty and smells so bad. There is not enough parking so if you come back home past 7pm your not gonna have a spot and are at risk of being towed. Every other day the fire alarm goes off at 6am which I am going through right now on a Wednesday. It's still going on after 30 minutes..... Not to mention I ordered a matinence request on 10/17 and they didn't get back to my "emergency request" for literally a whole week later. The rent is almost $1,000 when it should be worth $400 because on top of all these problems their management and front desk are RUDEEEE. Live anywhere but here anything you learned on your tour they lied and tricked you just like they did me. read more

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. DO NOT LIVE HERE. My daughter lives here and everything we saw on paper and online looked like it was the perfect place for her. We have had issue after issue after issue since moving in and she's only been there a month! Clearly, owners rushed to get this place ready for fall tenants, but the building is a disaster and our problems started on MOVE IN DAY. We wanted to give them a chance, knowing it was a busy time. But a month later and there is always an issue that needs to be addressed. They oversold parking permits, too. Try calling the office to talk to someone and you'll likely deal with Darius who is sarcastic, rude and could not be bothered by your concern. He literally asked if I was "calling to vent" about the problems there. Maintenance has been so kind and hard working but they cannot keep up with the number of calls. Management also decided to shut down ALL AMENITIES because of an issue with someone at the pool. WE PAY TO USE THE AMENITIES. Management needs to find a way to address the problem and not take away what residents are paying for. PARENTS, DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS COMPLEX FOR YOUR STUDENT. read more

They continue to lie about the building almost being ready. We were supposed to move in August because of a delay now the delay is still happening, and we were just informed we will be staying in temporary housing. I signed for a studio and they have me living with a roommate at the temporary house. They send vague construction updates saying it's going well, but if you drive by the building it's clearly not. This place is a scam. They're selling customers leases with the promises that "they're almost done with construction." I believed them when they told me this in late July, promising that I would be able to move in on August 14th. Now I come to find out they've been telling people this since April, originally promising May move-in. And here we are, in November, and the building is not even close to being done. They separated me from my roommates and placed me in a "temporary" tiny two bedroom apartment with a random, and have me paying FULL PRICE. They are literally making money off leases a year before the complex is even going to be finished, and they're doing it by blatantly lying to their customers. They are sent out email after email stating one problem or another and promising you will be able to move in by such and such date. Some students are put up in other apartments that are not even close to what they signed a lease for, yet still having to pay the same amount of rent. This was an email dated Nov 30, 2020 from the View. Original move-in date was Aug 2020... "Dear Future Resident of The View, We want to sincerely thank you for your patience during these unprecedented times. The View team has always promised full transparency with its residents and we are not stopping now. We have just been informed that, despite a full out diligent effort on the part of ownership and general contractor there may be a further delay with our January Move-in date and wanted to share that information with you all as soon as we heard it. As you know, there have been many things at play that prevented us from getting the property completed on time. The recent spike in COVID-19 in Texas and other parts of our country is a major cause in our delay. It is continuing to affect our workforce and our supply chain. However, we are told what remains is the last 5-7% of the finishing stages of our project. We have done everything possible to get you moved in, but unfortunately that may not be happening in January. Our goal is to get you moved into The View as soon as possible. Our anticipated move in date is now end of February, beginning of March. We will confirm your move in date in January. DO NOT MOVE HERE!! We have had soo many issues from day one. I wasn't receiving half the emails my roommates were regarding updates and roommate info. I didn't get the information about parking until I'd already moved in, at which point they had already oversold parking permits. Many people paid $60 to park in the garage and were put on a "waitlist" instead of refunded. There are multiple issues with the apartment, such as poor floor planning, poor wiring, and just literally stupid decisions like putting the dryer on the left side instead of the right. Our apartment was dirty, the paint is scuffed and unfinished, the countertop still has measurement writing on it, and we were not given anything we were promised, such as the sound-bar, google nest, and smart oven. Our couch is stained, our light fixtures are broken, and our refrigerator/ice maker was not hooked up to the water. Management is absolutely horrible. They have not responded to my four emails and the leasing office no longer takes phone calls, they forward them to a third party customer service. We never got keys to our rooms so we cannot lock them. This place is the worst apartment I've ever seen and it's not even worth the price. On top of it all, our roof is leaking due to the thunderstorms. Do NOT waste time or money on this place. read more

DO NOT LIVE HERE. I know it looks great in concept and the amenities are really good ON PAPER but the management is horrible. This complex was scheduled to be complete in August of 2019. We toured and management insisted on its competition before the semester of fall 2019 would start. Well that never happened and to this day the complex is yet complete. They will blame everything on covid when a scheduled finish build is still months away still in January 2020. The management will never give you a clear answer to anything and will do anything to protect their bottom line. I was finally refunded for a payment I made for some fees after 4 months of negotiations that they couldn't provide living in a timely manner. Management told me the check would take 30 days to be mailed. When the 30 days were up, I emailed the management inquiring about my refund and they emailed back saying give it another 30 days due to covid, even though they operate out of Austin. Check gets mailed and I open it to notice the check was made 2 days after I emailed them about not receiving the check. It took them 38 days to write a check that really only took 4 days to get to me. NOT Trustworthy People. IF I COULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS I WOULD. read more
