When they see family members come in, they act like they're super caring, but I've caught them several times ignoring the residents. Most of the residents look beat up and bruised from falling because they weren't being watched. The staff are thieves. Management could care less about anything. And your nickel and dimed for everything, you think you pay one price but your bill is several thousand dollars a month more. I was told one thing several times, but they never stick to their word they do what they want. I've never met a bunch of more uncaring people in my whole entire life. My parents were barely there for three weeks and couldn't wait to run away from that place as fast as possible. Don't fall for their bullshit.

It was good for quite a while, but now (Fall 2019) it is in turmoil. It is woefully understaffed (does it even meet code?). They can't retain people at any level, from primary caregivers to department managers. Pay levels and how staff is treated are both issues. The facility is nice, opening in 2016, but their management has taken a serious turn for the worse. The ownership of this facility is Morningstar Senior Management of Denver, CO. They provide no e-mail address, no complaint channel via e-mail, web or telephone, and no one on their executive team will either take a phone call or return a message. Sadly, we are going to look for another facility.

The staff has gone above and beyond in the care, protection, and ensuring the well-being of my parents during this very scary time of COVID. The facility locked down early and quickly. Information has flowed freely and the staff has been transparent in informing residents, staff, and family of developing issues above and beyond what is required of the state. I am grateful to all they do and know that my parents are well-cared for during a tumultuous and stressful time. I am grateful.

I am quite grateful for the good care I received from the nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and the outdoor grounds are beautifully maintained. However, there were notable areas that need improvement. There were times when the care staff felt stretched thin, leading to slow response times when calling for assistance. Furthermore, communication between the administrative team and family members could be improved. A major concern was the doctors, who visit the facility sporadically; my wife was never able to speak with them. The biggest issue was the performance of the physical therapy team. There was no set schedule whatsoever, and they often rushed through sessions in just five minutes, combining physical and occupational therapy together. I tracked each visit to the gym, and we never reached the expected five sessions per week for either physical or occupational therapy. While it is a nice facility with a caring nursing staff, closely monitoring the therapy department, staffing levels, and doctor communication would make the experience much better.

This facility is secure and has 10 private rooms which was important as he gets close individual care and attention. With the open floor plan, you can smell the yummy meals being cooked in the kitchen and the living room is bright and open. There is a beautiful backyard and seating area which we've been enjoying this spring. The staff is warm and friendly and able to reach with ease. They've been very accommodating and helpful with our special requests. They manage meds and have a nurse who comes into the home and helps with checkups. The schedule is enriching with daily activities, set mealtimes, and he has made friends with the other residents. I would recommend this business to those whose loved ones need memory care and seeking a smaller home-like environment.

The director of the facility, Traci Victor, has given me access to her phone number, and the communication is great. She prefers communication via texting, as it allows for faster response time. The facility is on the smaller side, with 10 residents calling the property home. However, because of the smaller patient size, it allows for a more favorable patient to staff ratio. The kitchen is an open concept adjacent to the main game/TV room. Food is prepared daily, good quality & nutritious. The portions may appear small, but residents are mostly elderly & that fits with their lifestyle. My husband has his own private room with an accompanying bathroom (consisting of a toilet & sink) The shower is across the hall, which is appropriate for safety & assistance. There is a very nice "Sun Room" facing a very large backyard. I have seen residents enjoying said room, & meals are done with socialization with other residents. My husband prefers his meals to be served on the couch in front of the main TV using a table with wheels. Medications are coordinated & dispensed. I feel blessed to have Dr Talisa Adkison MD, reviewing his needs monthly. She is truly a saint & spent more than 30 minutes interviewing him. Her office staff is also exemplary . If I need to call, someone will pick up, which is convenient for me, as I reside out of State. Dr Adkison will either respond herself, or direct staff of her intentions. Dr is the physician for most of the other residents. Holidays are festive, & Traci has the facility decorated to reflex the season. Traci has given special interest to my husband during Christmas & his birthday. He is a fan of the San Francisco Giants baseball team, & she was thoughtful enough to gift him a hat of said franchise for his birthday. He has spoken of this gift frequently, & it gives him much comfort & pleasure. This is of much amazement on my part due to his dementia & short term memory loss. I highly recommend Biltmore Assisted Living for loved ones experiencing issues with memory loss & cognitive decline. The facility is a thorough, safe & clean environment. They have preformed a difficult job to a high standard.

Residents eat on a terrace overlooking beautiful grounds. Tracy, the certified house manager, was outstanding in keeping the home spotless and meeting the needs of the residents. My mom adored Tracy and her little dog, Wilkie. Linda was a warm soul who took care of medications and also enjoyed cooking meals for the residents. To have my mom pass away in a place where she was never lonely, felt loved and respected, was a gift. For that our family is grateful. However, I like transparency. It shows integrity and character. Mike, the co owner is very friendly at first but I feel he was intentionally trying to pull the wool over our eyes. Regarding deposit money, we would have placed our mom there anyway, so there was no reason to be deceitful. Make sure to read contract carefully and get a copy as soon as you sign. I did not get a copy and I noticed 500.00 move in fee and $500.00 administrative fee. We weren't charged those nor had I ever seen them on my contract. I think the fees were typed in after the fact. Mike, (Mihai Ilioi) the co-owner, knows that placing a loved one in an assisted living home is an emotional time for family. Many of us aren't thinking as clearly. So Read the Contract carefully, take your time, do not be rushed and get a copy right then and there. You have the right to make an informed choice.
