This historic home rests in an ideal downtown location. A great setup for an adult weekend, but also fun for a family get away!

Great hotel and even better location! The room was clean and comfortable. The check in process went…read moresmooth. I have to say that the valet upon arrival was the worst experience I ever had. I am not sure if I caught the guys on a bad day but initially I was going to self park. After doing two loops and being confused on how to access it, I said F it and planned to valet. I pulled up to the valet stand and asked if that was where I dropped off. They asked me to pull up a little bit along the curb. Unbeknownst to me, they assumed I was there to drop something off at the hotel, not valet my car. I mean maybe its just me but don't they get cars dropped off to them all day!? That is their job. After retrieving my multiple bags from the car and approaching the stand where both employees were talking and looking at their phone I asked if that is where I turned my keys in. They held my keys and then said I didn't need a ticket. I was so confused and asked "so I am going to give you my keys to valet my car and you aren't going to give me a ticket?" They then finally realized that I wanted to valet my car. The multiple bags I was holding of my clothes and belongings clearly didn't give off the vibe that I was checking into a hotel.....I walked in to the hotel to check in highly pissed off I paid $70 to valet for one night and the guys were that incompetent. On the way out valet was super efficient and made up for the experience. I believe it was Christopher who retrieved my car for my quickly. He was super friendly and we even chatted for a couple minutes before I took off.

The hotel was located downtown Indianapolis, in walking distance to the river walking trail. There is a Starbucks that takes mobile orders, as well. The "business area" felt more like a comfortable reading nook, with shelves of colorfully arranged books. It was very welcoming. We did not have a car rental, so we had to do rideshares and food delivery during our stay. Unfortunately, there is construction in the area (June 2026) that made it difficult for the drivers to figure out where to find us. Rooms were a bit outdated and didn't feel super clean. We didn't get our bottled waters daily like we were supposed to. I really needed the water because the water stations in the conference hall were AWFUL. They tasted like algae or as if it was filtered through a swamp. These were water filtering machines, too. Yuck. Elevators were slowwwww.

Great location, pretty hotel and our room was nice minus the bathroom - walls were scuffed and it…read morewas just very basic. However, the shower water pressure was good so I can't complain much. The gym was great. They have peloton bikes and an assortment of dumbbells and kettle bells. The pool area looked to be very small and full of kids. There was no hot tub sadly. The con was Alex at the front desk. He checked me in and was awfully rude and condescending. I chose not to take it personally because he was the same way towards his coworker, Francis?, and towards the guests who approached him after me. He did not show anything close to the disposition you'd want for an employee in hospitality.

When we arrived, we were surprised to see it is right across the street from Gainbridge Fieldhouse! It was perfect. If you are there for the game, a lot of other perks you may want could be put aside. We arrived a few hours early and were able to valet and check in! Valet and hotel staff were very, very nice and helpful. Our room was clean. It is just a tad outdated but fine. Our room had a full kitchen, which could be nice for a longer stay. We ate downstairs at Pier 48 Fish House, which is attached to the hotel. The food was good. I had a delicious fruited mule (lychee). We were walking distance to many sites and restaurants. There is a small indoor pool that can be very crowded and loud due to the acoustics. There were a ton of kids in the pool and splashing water out and I saw a child slip and fall (glad it was not a grandparent!). The breakfast options are well-rounded. There are a lot of areas to eat inside the hotel area and outside on the patio. It was not crowded at all. Our Fever game was at noon so we were able to leave our car with valet. We borrowed the key to pack our things in the trunk. The game ended and we were well on our way by 3pm when the clock would have reset to be charged another day. The only drawback was the night noise. All during the night, you could hear traffic (like motorcycles and engines). We did have a room facing the street so maybe forego the view and face a back alley. It woke us up several times. This is a perfect spot for the game and for a family!
