This biggest issue was paying the extra $100 for them to book our flight and then it was booked wrong (1 extra day). To cover the mistake (2 months after mistake was made) we were given the only option of staying the extra day and them paying for our $90 hotel while changing flights would cost $800. Other issues included terrible transfers, bad information, and all questions were answered with half-hearted responses. After contacting them explaining my issues, I was told to find another agency or plan my travel myself. I would take that advice!

To be honest, I had no idea what to expect and this was my first trip to a developing country and to my first time letting someone else plan anything for me. Geoex did a better job than I could have ever done planning this trip. I didn't have to think or stress about anything during the planning phase, which ended up being a big relief. They worked out all the details, were great communicators and even included free emergency insurance. Thankfully I didn't need it, but it made my family feel a lot better knowing that if there were any issues I would be air lifted out. On to the best part, the actual trip! From the moment I landed everything was seamless including all the travel between safari camps, which is no small task considering there are no real roads in the bush. The camps Geoex chose were ecofriendly, had great amenities, an extremely knowledgable staff and in prime locations. In Botswana I was right on the Okavango delta and there were hippos in the water outside my room. In Zimbabwe I'd wake up every morning to antelope and zebras hanging out at the watering hole 100 yards away. The food was also good at all the locations, which is something I was worried about. I have dietary restrictions and often end up eating protein bars, but Geoex let the camps know ahead of time and they took special care to make sure I always had options. Overall, Geoex was great to work with and I will absolutely use them again.

We booked this trip a year in advances we didn't expect to not receive many of the things that was…read morepromised to the birthday girl and us. Her birthday sash was not on the door, her and her roommate never received a double bed, nor was her beach birthday dinner planned as discussed multiple times via zoom. During the booking process Brenda was very reliable, so this was a shock to us when our trip came around and we quickly realized how the ball was dropped. My overseas flight was cancelled hours before departing time of course that's not her fault but we definitely didn't expect to be kicked to the curb how we was. She didn't help me or my friends get another flight out, and if we left it up to her we would have never even made it to our trip. I guess my best friend was aggravating her with asking for help accommodating us on another flight so she ended up blocking her. My friend called multiple times from her cell phone it went straight to voicemail, she called from her house phone and she immediately picked up. We finally found are own flight which ended up being a 15 hour, 3 plane process instead of our original 6 hours. We ended up missing a full day of our trip, she offered no accommodation nor reached out to our hotel to even see if we could stay an extra day to get what we paid for. When we contacted her to let her know our hotel said it was fine to extend our stay another night she told us the third party " Funjet" received a email from the hotel saying we could not stay. When we spoke with the hotel manager he denied them sending an email denying us another night. Within five minutes of speaking with the manager all 5 of us had new rooms keys and our rooms for an extra night. The only accommodation she made for us was reaching out to the airline and getting our returning flight extended. We have requested numerous times for an itemized list/ receipt as the prices were not adding up, we have yet to receive the list and has been back almost a month. The pricing is not making since as to why 1 person had their own room and paid $2,700 for everything and the other 2 rooms had 2 people in each room and they paid $2,500 per person to share a room. How is the same room I paid for $5,000 for my 2 friends instead of $1,400 if they are splitting the cost of the room ? We also began to ask other guest about there price and a few people told us they didn't nearly pay as much as we did. I definitely would recommend you do your own research before booking with Brenda. As a black business owner myself I hate to write such a nasty review but just want to inform others of what they may be getting themselves into.
