Great little spot with lots of charm and kind owner. We don't need a lot of baths now cause she's old and stays very clean BUT Much needed bath since she got messy with the dog sitting. (We had left our old puppy keiko with her grandpawrents for some dog sitting for a few weeks.) After a long vacation + being jet lagged not to mention being new to the area we needed to search an easy alternative for a dog wash with temperature controlled water and a dryer since keiko is old and fluffy. We found the village mutt less than 2 minutes away and came in today. April was quick to help and the premises were clean and delightful. We got in and out in less than an hour. The place has absolutely everything you can for in terms of dog grooming. My pup loved the bath, she was super clean and happy. I used to love coming here all the time. The big dog bath access, lots of options for treats and treatment, etc. However, I stopped coming when that respiratory infection was going around for dogs like early 2024 or so? Then my dog had surgery early this year so also didn't come for a while. When I did finally come back I was excited and looking forward to it. When I did go I heard dogs by the register (which is right by the entrance) but it's kind of hard to see inside as there are privacy windows so I waited outside for a minute thinking ok whoever is there will gather their dog and shorten the leash perhaps. But when I cracked the door open a dog who was off leash almost BIT my dogs nose and was barking very aggressively, I had to slam the door shut. I was in shock and thought it was a customers dog who wasn't being watched so I stood outside just telling myself "what the f just happened?" A vendor who was there opened the door and told me it was safe to come in and the owner put her dogs away. It was the owners dog behaving like that. Keep in mind the store didn't just open it was around 1pm and they open at 10am. I would understand if the store had just opened and she was still prepping for the day and the dog was just being protective, as my boy is also protective but it was later in the day. When I did walk in I wasn't greeted the way I usually was, almost as if I was wrong for reacting how I did because I was concerned for my dog and the behavior of the other dog. It felt very hostile, but I was already there so I just decided to be quick with my dogs bath. I haven't gone back since and definitely will not go back after that. The service is other than that experience usually good and she really cares about dogs. My warning is maybe just step in before taking your dog in if you want to make sure the owners dogs will not try to go for your dogs. read more

I have nothing but great things to talk about Village Mutt. I have been there 2 times now and every single experience has been amazing. My dog loves the bath, and they provide shampoo, conditioner and "cologne or perfume" for your happy clean pup. They also have a variety of healthy chews, foods and high quality toys. I recently bought the honey coated bull stick and my Corgi did not want to stop chewing it. On the weekends, you might have to wait about 15-20 minutes if it is full, but there is a lot of places to walk your dog around the area while you wait your turn. I love the Village Mutt! The prices are reasonable, and it includes aprons, shampoo, leave-in conditioner, cotton to clean ears, brushes for scrubbing, and towels. The blow-dryer and use of the furminator brushes are a small surcharge. I think we usually pay $17 to wash our 80lb yellow lab. You can tell the owner loves dogs. She has some labs, but always comes to check on you and even took pictures of our sweet boy getting his bath because he was just loving it! They have multiple raised tubs, with warm water, a non-slip mat, and a waterproof leash and collar deal to help hold your dog in place. For dogs with anxiety (like mine), they have a separate, enclosed room so he doesn't have to deal with other dogs imposing on his spa day. Usually we call ahead and request this room so Buddy doesn't bark at all his friends there. Long love the Village Mutt! read more

Lovely DIY dog wash, with convenient tubs that have stairs, and the most delicious smelling shampoos. I have brought my larger hound here, and those steps into the tub are awesome. At the same time, I cannot bring my smaller hound here because he would use those stairs to escape! Another plus is that they sell Jackboy Bakery dog treats here--super healthy and yummy (at least that's what my hounds say!) And recently we discovered that a doggie dentist comes here once a month to do non-anesthesia cleanings. Now my hounds have pearly whites again and no more dragon breath! Absolutely love this place! First time going to use the self wash for my little bestie Dazza! They made me feel very comfortable washing him there and they have everything you need. Gentle soap that I even have at home, ear cleaner and even gentle no tear soap for their face and even an apron so you don't get messy. They informed me not to rush and to take my time my Dazza has a double coat but with all the tools being there already I was in and out within 30 minutes. Will definitely take Dazza back!
