We had an amazing first experience at A Cut Above Pet Salon! My dog, Jackson, came home looking and smelling fantastic. They are so patient there, because he can be a handful :) , and they clearly love what they do. I cannot recommend them enough. 10/10 We have found our forever groomer and will be back regularly!!

Always looking for a quality dog groomer, we have been sorely disappointed on more than 1occasion. We discovered "A Cut Above" as an aside to finding a new boutique coffee shop, French Press, on Emerald near Foothill in La Verne. Both businesses are in the same strip mall, only 2 doors away from each other. Our female Golden Retriever had been looking pretty shaggy after her last grooming so we took a chance after speaking with Ronnie. Needless to say, we are quite satisfied with her groom, and she looks great
I have been bringing my girls here for a long time now and Roni and her staff have treated my dogs kind and loving. They always smell good, have a nice trim and a cute bow when they are done. She books out so I would highly recommend making an appointment early. They are located in the Michael's/Katies pet depot center. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.
My cat was abandoned as a kitten and doesn't groom himself often enough or well enough to stay clean, according to my vet. Now, as a long-haired fluff ball adult he often gets mats that are very uncomfortable and hairballs to go along with it. Rocky had his first lion cut about eight years ago and if he could talk, he would tell me he wants them more often. He always comes home from his grooming appointment home looking proud and happy with his head held high and prancing around the house. He really enjoys the relief and comfort from his huge coat of fur, especially during the summer. And the neighborhood cats are totally jealous of his haircut. I love Roni and the staff at A Cut Above Pet Salon and highly recommend them!

Fantastic! Roni bathed and groomed our YorkiePoo. She gave me photos and let me know when Little Duke was all done. He looked just adorable, in fact, he looked cuter than I've ever seen before. A Cut Above Pet Salon gets all bright stars for their great care, communication and fabulous pet hair cut. I highly recommend A CUT ABOVE PET SALON!!!

We have been going to A Cut Above Pet Salon for a few years now. I have always been pleased with the work Roni and her team does. Our pup's grooming is always done with care and he always looks amazing. Our cats also go there for baths and nail trims. Roni does an impeccable job handling our spicy girl and they both come home looking beautiful! She is the cat whisperer! We love A Cut Above Pet Salon and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a professional groomer. read more

I have been coming here for a year now. They give great professional service. They talk to my dog, give her kisses, and give her treats while they groom her. They are loving towards their little clients. They make sure your dog is loved and comfortable. I am a last minute person which means they would squeeze me in for a service the same day! They always respond to text messages quickly and phone calls all morning/evening. There's no one else I would trust my dog with. The owner may come off strict (if your pet is matted intensively , has ear infections, flea infestation, and or safety concerns) but she deeply cares for your pets health and will update you for safety reasons. She gives great recommendations to keep your pet healthy. She also takes pride in her work. Their prices are cheap and affordable. 10/10. We recently moved to the area and found this place. Roni was amazing. We have an American Eskimo and he can be growly and nippy making it difficult to get him groomed, but Roni was able to get the job done and our dog looks better than he ever has after a grooming. It had been awhile since he had been groomed since we were dealing with the move and a baby under 1, but Roni took the time and was very thorough. The price was very reasonable for the exceptional service that was provided. read more

Amazing Job! I have been taking our cats to A Cut Above Pet Salon in La Verne CA for about 15 years. Ronnie is so professional and so knowledgeable! Ronnie and her staff handle my cats with care and are gentle. My cats have had some pretty bad mats in their fur and Ronnie and her staff manage to make my cats look absolutely beautiful! I was really nervous about bringing my four-year-old cat to the groomers because he had never been before and he was very shy around humans, but we had a great experience with Roni the owner of Cut Above Pet Salon! She explained the process and the options and personally took care of my big guy! She was able to give him the "lions cut" to relieve Ernesto of his knots and matted areas and even trimmed his nails. I couldn't have done this at home. He came out looking so handsome! I would highly recommend Roni for your kitty fur babies grooming. read more

Our puppy (Maltipoo mix) received a puppy cut from A Cut Above. We are extremely satisfied! He received a spa treatment & we were able to tell a difference in his hair texture immediately. He went in with some pretty rough scruffy hair & came back super soft! Super friendly staff! We scheduled our next appointment already. We highly recommend A Cut Above. Pretty affordable since other places charge extra for doodles. Check them out. read more

This pet salon is amazing. I have been taking my adorable little belle here since she was a tiny puppy. I never felt any concerns when I dropped her off. They were loving and kind to my belle. Roni the owner is great she always fits us in even if it's last minute. Belle's last visit was with Gabrielle and she did a fantastic job. She even sent a pic when done. I highly recommend this salon and you know your precious cargo will be safe and loved. read more

I've been taking my wiener dog to Roni at A Cut Above Pet Salon, monthly for 10 plus years. Roni and her staff care for my Shotzie and I feel like he is in safe hands and that they love him like their own. They know him by name and are always happy to see him. During Covid I am able to stay in my car for drop off and pick up. They come to my car and pick him up wearing masks and disposable gloves. I feel good leaving him there. When I pick him up he smells great, is happy, has nicely trimmed nails and looks so handsome. They even give him a little holiday scarf of the month. Thank you for grooming my boy and making drop off less stressful. Roni always sends a photo of him after he has been groomed. My dapper doggie. read more
