There are many good pet sitters out there, but Petmeisters is just the best. Our 16 year old dog recently stayed with them for a week and they sent daily texts with photos and videos showing her happily wandering around their yard and getting lots of cuddles. We have two cats, and Petmeisters has been caring for them for the last couple of years. One of our cats is friendly and curious, and has never met a stranger; he's basically a dog, temperament-wise. The other is very much A Cat. Eleanor is super-attached to me, tolerates my husband, runs from my children, and hides from strangers (including petsitters, typically). So imagine my surprise when I got a text from Allison over the holidays with a video of Eleanor happily accepting pets - she even flopped over to let Allison scratch her belly! When my cat trusts someone this much, that speaks volumes about the love that's been shown over the course of the visits. Aside from Eleanor's love for Allison, I also really appreciate how dependable they are. No matter who the lead sitter has been each time we've booked them - some trips it's Craig, other trips it's Allison, sometimes it's been one of their great staff - they've never missed a visit, never forgotten my cat's daily medicine, never failed to reset the house alarm, and always send a text with pics and an update on how the visit went. An excellent service! We have two senior dogs, one of whom needs medication multiple times a day and has some unique quirks, and the Petmeisters team has always been incredibly professional and caring of them both. Petmeisters did an amazing job with my dog and cat while we were gone for a week. The videos and pictures they send are very thoughtful and really make you feel like your pets are being well cared for. In addition, they live on our street and are aware of break ins that occur, and made sure nothing happened while we were gone. They even offered to move our car for us. These guys are everything you could want in petsitters. Best pet sitters EVER! We had a VERY active foster puppy who had who was found on the street and had never been indoors much less on a leash. Within a week of daily walks, there was huge difference in her behavior on AND off the leash. After a few months, she was completely rehabilitated and a joy to walk. Once while we were out of town, they noticed some issues with our regular petsitter and stepped in to take care of all of our animals including the turtle. And they have always been patient with me as I go over my laundry list of directions for my dogs when I go away on vacation. Absolutely fabulous. We have used Petmeisters for about a year, starting when our dog was just a puppy. Craig and Allison were referred to us both by neighbor's and our previous homeowners from whom we purchased our home. We have had a total of two walkers who walk our dog every day, (one moved out of the city and thus we were assigned a new one) and both have been excellent. They also offer boarding at their home, which we used on a recent week-long vacation. The daily photos and videos are so reassuring and nice!
