I remember when this place had quality brands like Source Naturals. Now it is turning into what GNC was back when there was a GNC. GNC went out of business because they only sold trashy supplements and I have a feeling that this dump is on the same way down; it will probably close permanently. The cashiers were talking to themselves about how more than one of the customers were being a*holes (they really used that word.) I visited this location for the first time a few ago to pick up an online order. The process was efficient. I was in and out of the store within less than five minutes. The customer service was good. I returned the following week for another online order and experienced the same efficient service. Finally, I went back today for an in-store purchase and had another quick experience. I purchased one of their reusable bags last year to avoid purchasing one of their bags each time. The store appears very clean and organized. The only problem that I had the first time was not seeing the outside signage for the location. Due to the location of the store within the shopping center, I actually drove by the store. If you have bought into the fabricated notion fomented by a billion dollar industry that you somehow need vitamin supplements that your regular diet doesn't provide even though it really does, then stores like the Vitamin Shoppe have certainly hit your radar. This outlet of the unnecessary chain is located in a shopping center on Dobbin Road off 175. The store is very clean and organized, making anything you are looking for really easy to find. They also have a rewards program, but from what I can tell you really need to shop there a lot to make it worth your while. Since they are so focused, they do have items that regular pharmacies and grocery stores don't carry, so if you're not going to call your wife crazy when she sends you out to find chewable Calcium supplements you can just go here first. The store was closed at 6 today (New Years eve eve?) I didn't see anywhere online that they were closing early, so when I showed up at 6:05 I was left disappointed because I couldn't get the herbs that help me sleep.... There is not much variety here, and most of the workout supplements at this location are full of artificial flavors and sweeteners. One of the employees was extremely rude to me twice when I asked her basic questions. I won't return to this location. read more

Today (2/18/2019 around 1:45pm) I entered the store and was greeted as usual. There was an employee at the desk and one who was just walking through the door. Upon the other employee's arrival, the manager on staff began berating her for messing up her scheduling and not showing up on time. This was extremely loud and frankly uncomfortable for everyone in the store to watch/listen to. Why do this on the floor in front of potential customers and not in the employee lounge? Why even raise your voice like that at all for a misunderstanding, even if it was repeat offense. When I was ready to purchase my item and pulled up a price match, I was informed by the person working the desk that "they only price match Amazon and one other online store...." This is completely different than what the website states and what I have done in the past. I asked her to confirm with the manager to which she replied he wasn't there anymore...... It was at this point I walked out. Won't be coming back. There are plenty of other options in the area and online to find supplements. FYI I plan on going to the store (which is literally right down the road) where I price matched from to buy the item. read more

I can't say enough about this place. For starters the staff is very helpful and know their products. And the prices are pretty fair.

Was in Maryland for around two weeks to visit family. Was gonna goto the gym but I forgot my protein shake and shaker and other essentials so i decided to go this shop that was nearby my aunt house to pickup some supplements. Had a very cool guy by the name of Nader I believe it was help me find everything that I was looking for. I bought Vitamin Shoppe branded vitamins from this store. They became rancid in just a few weeks, and the manager gave me a hard time about exchanging them. He saw the bottle was virtually unused yet very rancid. At the end of the day, most managers will stand by their products and exchange a bad product without receiving the lecture I endured from this manager. I will use the replacement vitamins, but I will not make future purchases at this store. read more

I visited this location ( Columbia, Maryland) maybe two weeks ago. About four people walked in just before me and I realized that they were vitamin shop employees maybe coming in to check out the store, maybe regional management or something. They seemed to be giving directions as soon as they walked in. So while I walked around the store for a good 10-15 minutes trying to locate a specific supplement, there were probably another three employees there in addition to the four that walked in ahead of me. Not one of the seven or so employees ever once asked me if I needed assistance. Two of them walked past me maybe three times. So, I went up to the register and asked if they had the product, the employee looked it up and advised that they don't carry it in the store anymore. I said, why do the carry it on their web site but not in the store? He didn't or couldn't provide an answer. Anyway, I left very disappointed and could not believe that out of all of the employees in there, not one ever even said hello. Dissatisfied and disappointed. Probably won't return after that circus show. Very poor customer service. read more
