I have a question for the manager. What is the point of online ordering if you don't start the order until the customer arrives? When I arrived there was one person behind the counter but it turned out that there were two other employees in the back and no other customers. So the one employee started my order but then some other customer came in so he stopped and waited on them. That is when the second employee made her appearance but couldn't be bothered to get off her phone so she continued making my order holding her phone with her shoulder and at one point she went back into the back room. The original employee looked confused and apparently started making the new order while the phone girl was in the back. Mind you, I had ordered 15 minutes before I arrived. So the phone girl came out from the back-phone in hand-eventually on her shoulder added some ingredients then put my order on the blender. Something has clearly changed here, and unfortunately it hasn't been for the better. Whether it's a new owner, new management, or a completely different staff, the difference is obvious. For starters, our order wasn't even correct. Communication throughout the entire visit was poor, and the person identified as the "Team Captain" didn't know how to process a refund. I also had a very difficult time understanding them, which only added to the confusion instead of helping resolve the issue. Beyond that, the restaurant itself was a mess. It wasn't clean, and the overall atmosphere felt disorganized and poorly managed. I've visited this location before and never had an experience like this, which is why this was so disappointing. Whatever has changed, it has had a negative impact on both the customer experience and the way the business is being run. A few things: the cashier, was on the phone the entire time I was there, didn't speak when I entered but eventually asked what I wanted. I got the Keto Champ, and he did ask if I wanted Espresso or Cold Brew with it and when I asked which was better, he gave me a suggestion of Espresso, which I appreciated. However, when I got my drink, the cup was dirty from him spilling some of the smoothie & he didn't bother to wipe it, instead opting to just hand me a dirty cup. My smoothie was pretty good so I will keep it at 2 stars, but if they happen to see this, I would love to tell management that I'm not someone that needs the type of customer service where you have to jump through hoops, even though I appreciate it when establishments do. I ordered a regular Acai bowl and one with the Pitaya base. The ordering process was relatively easy. The wait for the bowls was a little long, but it was a lot to assemble, so it was fine. The taste of the bowl was on par with most Acai bowls, so there was nothing new to discover here. The only difference is that this bowl was a lot larger than many I have purchased, which makes the bowl price a little more digestable. I really only wanted to try it for comparative purposes to another one that I recently had elsewhere. I have found that an Acai bowl is an Acai bowl and only varies based on what is added. Came here on a Friday to get a smoothie. They don't have the $5 Friday smoothies promotion anymore. They now have the "$1 Up Friday" promo that for $1 you can upgrade your 20 oz. smoothie to 32 oz. I decided to pass on that. I got a lemon twist strawberry, which had a mild tart taste of lemon, but sweetness from the strawberry. My new go to. Poorly run operation. Ordered a smoothie on the app at 7am on Saturday. The app indicated it would be ready around 7:15. Went to the store and it was closed and the sign on the door indicated they didn't open until 8am on Saturdays. We left and came back at 8. We waited until 8:20 and no one ever came to open the store. I got a call from the manager later that morning about a mixup with them changing hours in the app. I told him that didn't explain the fact that they weren't open during posted business hours. He apologized and told me to come in and they would give me my smoothie I paid for and coupon for a free smoothie for my trouble. I went today to try to get my smoothie and coupon. You guessed it...store was supposed to open at 7am. I left at 7:10 and there was still no one there. I drove as fast as I could to the store and arrived at 8:50. Once I arrived the employee said the store was closed. If your store closes at 8:50, it should say that on the website versus leading people to believe that the store is open until nine. Also, the doors were open. I can say that most of the Smoothie King I have been to are all about the same. THe consistency of the drinks are steady. The only real differences I have seen in them is that some offer drink specials on various days and the workers. At some locations your order may come out slower than others and the staff might be a bit more talkative. This location was quicker when compared to other Smoothie King locations and this was with a number of customers streaming in and out. The crew was speedy with orders as this place seems to get plenty of traffic from all the employees in the local offices. I got what I expected and it was not a disappointment but nothing that will blow you away. Still a good establishment with employees who know how to do their job. read more

3.5 stars I like their selection of smoothies and the fact they give us all of their nutritional information right at the order counter. You can mix, match and add different ingredients to your heart's content. I usually choose a coffee smoothie and add protein. I like the flavors, though they can border on the ultra-sweet side. Smoothie King must not make enough off of their smoothies (even with their high prices) so they also sell potato chips (?), candy (?), gluten-free cookies, packaged healthy loaf cakes (really good!) and vitamins. They take forever to make your smoothie so it's hard not to succumb and buy something while you're waiting 10 or 15 minutes for your drink. Customer service is iffy. Staff seems apathetic and bored. Sometimes I get really weird energy from them while waiting to get a smoothie. I have to repeatedly tell them I want it thick- yes, it's a smoothie, not a fruit slushie- or they get it wrong.
