I called beforehand and one of the workers told me they didn't have the chocolate flavor but they did have the marshmallow one. I decided to quickly go and buy it. I've been wanting to go visit a vitamin shoppe but never did since I buy all my protien shakes or gym supplements online. I got there 30 minutes before closing time so didn't really look around but there was a worker with a short bob who was really helpful. Every time I come here, the employees are always friendly and greet me. The store itself is organized but sometimes I feel like they move things around and I catch myself having to look for my OxyShred a little longer. I've tried ordering online to pick up a while back and their system was efficient. After placing my order, I received a confirmation email and it was ready to be picked up a few hours later. That was perfect for me because I was able to come straight there after getting off from work. I actually came in a few days ago and I saw the same employee (Zaid) who always happens to be there when I come in. Now that I saw his name tag, I wanted to take the opportunity to let you know that Zaid is awesome and always provides great customer service! Also, if you're like me and buy OxyShred or any other EHP Labs supplements, this Vitamin Shoppe has everything you'll need! Excellent health product related store. The variety of items in each category they carry is really wide. If you're looking for it, they've probably got and if they don't they can probably get it. The name says vitamin but they have much more. And the store is easy to navigate, neat and clean to a T. If you do need help, the staff is there for you. Much improved look after the reconstruction of the store except I still prefer a counter near the door with the register. It's a pleasant shopping experience but employees have to be cognizant that some people just want to be left alone to browse and read labels. I felt like they were watching me like a hawk when I was in, so I just grabbed what I came for and got out. You have to be careful with prices here. Some things are less than elsewhere and some are a lot more. Reality is that 50% of the things they sell are not good for you but are high profit. Wish they would get in the Cookie+ Protein Peanut Butter from Atlanta Georgia. The other protein cookies they sell taste bad or are bad quality especially that junk Lenny & Larry they always have a big display of since they pay for placement in the store. Parking is free and easy in front of the store and while you are in this shopping strip, you can pick up some things at Trader Joes or REI--two of my other favorite stores. read more

I said I can not belive that, I said o.k. Didn't see anyone working on the floor. There was one guy working the cash register. Later when we were leaving a girl came out the back but they seemed to lack staff at this location. Other than that... shelves were properly stocked and neat. Guy at the register greeted customers and rang up customers purchases, but they still needed to have someone on the floor. I am a personal trainer who whas been buying VS products for a long time and so far I have loved them. Unfortunately i bought dymatize strawberry protein and something must be wrong with this product because gave me and my roomate food poisoning and we both were ill after taking it. Puking and really sick. I tried returning at the vitamine shoppe but they would not take it back because it was passed 30 days with complete disregard of how sick we got. Not sure if you had similar complaints but something is definetly wrong with this batch. Be careful buying dymatize Elite strawberry if you dont want to get totally sick!!!' I been shopping here for years and was going to do a large purchase for my gym but after they would not return the protein for a few bucks they lost a lifetime customer and i will be telling my gym members to go elsewhere. Most recently I've had another bad experience with the Torrance location, but the staff at the MB location really know how to make it all better! Had some issues with a recent order and the assistant manager, Paola, went out of her way to get me the information I needed. Every employee here is super friendly and knowledgable and will help in getting you to exactly what you need. She made some really great recommendations for me when I mentioned that I was looking into switching to a plant based protein powder. They have a wall of protein samples to try before you buy which is great. Also, the Kombucha on tap is up and running! Although the Torrance location is a more convenient location for me, I'd much rather drive a bit more to shop in a nicer space with friendly staff. + price compared several plant based proteins with Whole Foods and VS's regular price was about $20-30 cheaper! read more

I have recently become a customer of The Vitamin Shoppe. This location is the 2nd Vitamin Shoppe I have been to. I will say that the level of customer service was the same at both locations that I have visited. You walk in and you are immediately helped by the staff of the Vitamin Shoppe. If you are visiting the Vitamin Shoppe for the first time make sure you have a general idea of what you are looking for before you step foot in the door. In my opinion the Vitamin Shoppe is a tad better than GNC and GNC is not a place you want to go to buy any type of supplement. Shopping at GNC is like shopping for supplements at the counter of 7/11. The Vitamin Shoppe is stocked for wall to wall, floor to ceiling with supplements. It can be quite confusing if you walk in and have not already done all the research yourself. I was attending a business dinner in the area of this Vitamin Shoppe yesterday (05-25-2013). I quite frankly never even knew this Vitamin Shoppe store was located in the same parking lot as a Trader Joe's that I visit from time to time. I walked in and was immediately helped by the Vitamin Shoppe employees. I knew exactly what I was looking for Sunwarrior 'Warrior Blend' Vegan protein supplement. Instead of telling the employee what brand I was looking for so I could compare prices from another Vitamin Shoppe I simply asked for Vegan Protein powder. The staff walked me right over to the area and they seemed quite knowledgeable about the products that the Vitamin Shoppe sold. They broke down the ingredients, what was on sale and how long the sale was going to last. The sale price for Sunwarrior 'Warrior Blend' is just about $15.00 cheaper than the same product on sale at Whole Foods. I was basically visiting this location just to compare prices of items that I have either found online, at Whole Foods or other Vitamin Shoppe locations and this location was on par with online prices, less expensive than Whole Foods and the same as other Vitamin Shoppe locations. When I run out of Sunwarrior 'Warrior Blend' Vegan protein powder I will without question come back to the Vitamin Shoppe. Either location this one or the Redondo Beach/Torrance located right in my wheelhouse so now that I now the prices are the same at both locations either one might get my business. The doors to the location face west. So when the sun is setting the front doors and anything located by the front doors gets blasted by the sun for several hours. What was odd was this location has the chocolate protein bars located right next to the front door. So if something can melt chances are it will. I walked over and placed my hand on one of the boxes which contained chocolate and it was warm. Chances are if I do come back to this location I will not be buying protein bars simply because when I am spending $2.00-$3.00 a bar I want that bar to be stored in the appropriate manner/area and not to be melted when I purchase them. If you are reading this make sure you bar is good condition prior to walking out the door otherwise that might be hard to explain when you are trying to get a refund. Parking for this location is and never will be an issue no matter the time of day or night. This location shares its parking lot with a Barnes & Noble, Trader Joes, Fresh & Easy, Old Navy, Italian restaurant and several other businesses. read more

There was easy and free parking. It is also in the same shopping center as REI and Trader Joe's making it easy to run other errands at the same time. The store was well organized although it took me a while to find what I was looking for (herbal liquid extractions). Some sections are obviously labeled and featured, while what I was looking for was on a lower shelf in the back corner. People here are unique and seem to care, they are always giving you their advice on what to get or which product is better for what... any specials going on etc. As a retailer itself, Vitamin Shoppe has a good variety of products in comparison with GNC, If you are considering this store for your workout stuff, then go here, you sure will get helpful info from the staff variety and quality of products, which is a must, at least for me, when our shopping for stuff to get in your body. Make sure to check the monthly specials, sometimes you get buy one and get 2nd 50% off, bi weekly 20% off coupons and a rewards program that gives you money back at the end of the year. I had not so good experience at this location with associate 009505 on feb 18th. I came in knowing what I wanted. The guy asked am I finding everything ok as soon as I walked in the door, seriously. When it was time to pay the same guy ringed my items up . I notice the sale price was not showing up on the screen I mentioned it hi. He's something oh it is . He went on the phone to check when the shelf with product was behind him. We repeated this with every product he ringed up. He seemed bothered that I was speaking up about sale price. Him being bothered bothered me. Like what's wrong with me wanting the sale price. So after going through that with every product I purchased I got home looked at my receipt I noticed I didn't get the sale price on one product. I spent about $140 I won't come back to this location where they clearly we're trying to get me to pay way more then I should have. So I want to warm customer that shop hear beware of sales people like this guy and don't be afraid to speak up your not less because you want sale prices. VitaminShoppe outlets are typically 'five-stars' for price and availability, but this store also excels on location (in a mall with Trader Joe's, REI, Barnes & Noble, etc.) with tons of parking. The staff changes around a little, but I've never found anyone who doesn't know their stuff (and where to find it!). Be sure to sign of for their loyalty card; we typically get $120 in store credits at the end of each year. P.S. If you are driving in from Aviation Blvd., either northbound or southbound, be sure to enter the lot from the 'back entrance' on Aviation to avoid the traffic on Rosecrans. read more

I am very much stoked to know that there's a Vitamin Shoppe within driving distance of both my home and my University; this location comes through in the clutch, no doubt. I arrived at this Vitamin Shoppe about a week ago looking for some SuperPumpMax to provide a helping hand with my routine workouts (no shame in some artificial assistance, riiiight?). I was immediately impressed by how clean and organized the establishment was, and it took me no time at all to find what I was looking for. While deciding on which flavor of supplement to buy (and ultimately settling on a tub of grape-flavored SuperPumpMax), I was approached by one of the store's friendly and eager-to-please employees, who introduced me to some alternative options (which I respectfully turned down - "shit, man...i'm on a college budget, ya know?"). Nevertheless, I appreciated both his sense of humor and his willingness to help me out. The only thing keeping me from giving this Vitamin Shoppe five stars is that I didn't really have the time to give the place a thorough look-through - I was literally in and out in a span of maybe three minutes, tops.
