Me and my son went into this vitamin shoppe location looking for some oil of oregano we walked in and there was a woman associate and two male associates. When we walked in all three associates was at the register area behind the counter one of the guys was helping out a few customers that were together they were checking out but still tryna find a item or two but the woman associate and the other male associate were just standing around so me and my son had walked in no one greeted us and actually the woman and male associate that was just standing look at one another a have a weird eye contact and just continued on doing nothing so my son and I was looking around tryna find the oil of oregano and not one time were we approached and asked if we needed help so at that point I became upset and I just looked for what I needed on my own and I really wanted to leave the store without what I needed but I drove all across town to get what I needed because no other locations had the item so as bad as I wanted to leave empty handed I just couldn't so me and my son approached the counter and the female associate was still standing around the other male associate had stepped away to the back so me and my son was standing at the counter the woman associate didn't ask if we was ready to check out or trying to get us rung up she just stood there she didn't even say anything so the male associate came back to the register moments later asking was we ready and I'm just standing there looking like are you serious so he asked how are we paying cash or card and do we have a phone number and I had a phone number with them but I was so Upset I didn't provide my phone number so we paid for my item then he asked if I needed a receipt I told him no and I just grabbed the item and we left he didn't even aknowledge us as we left I was so angry I feel like it was racial so I called the store asking when will the manager be in so that I can file a complaint and the lady associate had answered and I asked when will your location manager or store manager be in because I was planning on filing a complaint and the female associate said well I'm the manager and I said well let me tell you something I just shopped your store me and my son came in we were not greeted or helped and that's very unprofessional and rude and all she said sounding very sarcastically was well Im sorry and that was it so I called corporate and filed a complaint on the location and I will be following up with them tomorrow read more

Good vitamin store. I usually go to my closer to home location in Huntington Beach, but i happen to be in the area and stopped here to check out some vitamins. They have a variety of different vitamins. The protein shakes are delicious. i usually purchase a bunch of them. Just be ready to spend alot, lol. I went to this store with some concern about bad Yelp reviews. It turned out this vitamin place is great! It has lots of selections and manager who was very knowledgeable about vitamins. My son in Philipine asked me to send some vitamins. I had lots of list to buy. The manager and I went around pick vitamins in less than 10 minutes. I used to own a business so I know how terrible to have a bad review impact a business. This vitamin shop deserves good review in my opinion. Pandemic is already damaging so many business. My first time at The Vitamin Shoppe. I went in looking for some items that I saw on Instagram. The sales person greeted me and asked if she could me find something. I didn't have the name, I'm trying to describe the shape and color of boxshe's trying to help like we were on a game show Finally I said the right word and she said, "oh over here". Well let me start out by saying what store doesn't carry shopping carts? The clerk asked me Can I help you? I said yes you can provide some carts. People that have disabilities in their backs and are seniors cannot manage with a basket. It's heavy and awkward. This is the one thing I hate about this store. Also I asked for absorbable calcium and the clerk said they don't stock it. So I go to the shelf and it's there. Something tells me this isn't good customer service. Large vitamin store which is well lit & almost antiseptically clean stocking "health supplements" as well. I went in at the height of flu season to buy a combination of echinacea, vitamin C, zinc to act as a preventative & also as a curative for those who already contracted the flu or common cold. They had this combination at Trader Joe's years ago, but when I went recently, TJ's no longer stocked it in their limited vitamin section. Strange as it may seem, with so many kinds of different vitamins & minerals in many different forms, the two lady salespeople really had to search around to find it. However, their diligence & perseverance paid off, and I got what I had come for. I appreciated their kind effort that took about 10 minutes. Lol literally this place has the worst service I've ever experienced. I heard they got new staff/management but it's still bad. No one came up to me at all--they all just walked past me like I wasn't even there. I came in around 8:20 PM and there were two people working. There was only one other customer in the store. This one girl who was working literally just walked around the store grabbing things so she could check out. I was holding my purchases waiting for her to finish buying her employee discounted items. She turns around and asks if I had any questions. Um???? I did???? But you were too busy grabbing yourself some cookies????? I've worked in retail and I get that the last shift can be pretty tiring and boring. But also if a customer comes in, don't ignore them to buy your own stuff, especially if you're on the clock. Pulled up and was about to walk in and noticed 3 men without masks talking to the cashier then continued to browse around the whole store talking amongst each other. I thought maybe this employee would have reminded them to put on their masks but no. Are we Not still in a pandemic? Mind you this is a small store and I did not feel comfortable walking in with my cloth masks assuming everyone in there would be wearing a masks to protect each other . I had never been by the Vitamin Shoppe until yesterday (05-17-2013). I have recently begun my journey down the Vegan highway and needed to replace my current animal based Protein powder for a plant based protein powder. I conducted quite a bit of research prior to walking in the doors. I searched several different websites & forums before I decided upon Sunwarrior Warrior Blend Raw Vegan Protein Powder. Once I found the protein I was going to go with, I began the search of where I could find it, I located it at The Vitamin Shoppe. I knew exactly where the Vitamin Shoppe was, it is actually located right next to the Trader Joe's I shop at. The complex is located right off of Hawthorne Blvd just a few blocks away from 190th Street. This store shares its parking Trader Joes, Party City, Osh hardware store, UFC gym, Sears's appliance store, Subway and several others. Depending on the time of day you plan your visit parking may be an issue especially if your visit is on the weekends. I planned my visit perfectly and parked directly in front of the doors that lead into this business. I walked in and found the store to be empty. Two employees were standing at the cash register and both went out of their way to assist me. I asked one of the employees where there Vegan protein powders were located, the employee escorted me over to the area and explained several of the products to me. I asked if they carrier Sunwarrior, they did. The employee was very knowledgeable about the product and told me that it was currently 'on-sale.' I ended up picking up a kilogram container (2.2 pounds) for a mere $37 dollars. As I was checking out the employee who was helping me showed me Vega Sport Natural Plant based protein bars. The flavor they had in stock was Chocolate coconut. They were a tad pricey but I figured as in life, you get what you pay for and I ended up picking purchasing a bar to see how it taste, it was amazing!!!!!!!! The price for a box of 12 was $29.99 so if anyone reading this review knows of a better price for these bars please let me know. Upon checking out/paying, the cashier advised me of their reward programs. For every dollar spent, you earn a point, when you accumulate points; you get free products & discounts. Overall I was very pleased my experience here at The Vitamin Shoppe, before today I had never been inside of a Vitamin Shoppe, until today I kind of looked at them as another GNC & Lindberg Nutrition. I am not sure if I will be back based on the overall prices, I mean you are paying the overhead for the location, the employees, the insurance, rent, etc... I will look into locating these products elsewhere on the cheap, if I cannot do I will be back, if I can I won't be. As for the product itself, I had it this morning and I love it. read more

If you take this before travelling you never get tired, so helps me in long drives that I take to San Francisco. Ignatia: Its also called the funeral remedy, for all types of stress and anxiety you just take for a few days and it will fix you. Vitamins, I have a love hate relationship with them. My doctor says I should take them, especially Iron (I'm anemic), but I hate the side effects. But I try my best to take them when I can and the Vitamin Shoppe is my go to destination. I've gone to GNC and maybe because of how those stores were marketed in the mid 90s, I find that its more geared towards body builders and the like and their selection can be limited. When I go to a Vitamin Shoppe I don't feel that way. Maybe its the way they have the stores set up where you aren't really intimidated by the options. I was really glad that they built this location since its close to my job. I could probably walk here if I needed to. I had a coupon that I wanted to redeem so I figured hey let me go check out the place. One thing I love about Vitamin shoppe's is that they label their goods based on your needs. They have the regular multivitamin section, one for heart health and even digestion. They even sell doggy vitamins. I also like their section where they sell organic soaps,oils and deodorants. I've got really sensitive skin so over the counter soaps don't bode well with me. So if I don't buy it from the online store that I get my soaps from (Oyin Handmade, they're awesome btw), I usually can find a quick substitute there that can be used in case I don't feel like buying or I've run out and need just enough to hold me until I can get my stuff in the mail. The time I went it was pretty empty (but aren't most vitamin stores?), but both individuals there greeted me and asked if me if I needed assistance. I did have a question about certain pills that I bought to see if they had a recommendation on the brand. They gave me some helpful hints to help me make a better decision. Great store, great staff and a location that's not heavily trafficked like the one on Rosecrans. Now if they could only build an REI down this way and I'd be a happy camper. Came to Vitamin shop to buy protein cookies in bulk and to see what was on sale. Apon walking in, we were greeted by the employees. They kindly asked if we had any questions. Later on, we asked for assistance because what we wanted was on the highest shelf. They promptly got the ladder and helped us out. Before checking out, I checked the clearance section. For those of you who don't know, many of the clearance items are just snacks that are soon to be expired, so they are priced to sell. I try to take advantage of these lower prices to try new products. Overall, the visit was very pleasant and we felt no rush at all. read more

As usual I walked around the store for 15 minutes with nobody greeting me or asking if I needed help, but this time they were especially rude, having a full conversation amongst coworkers and the person who rang me up didn't even look at me. This location has a very helpful & knowledgeable staff. I was really struggling to find the right supplements to help my daughter get her health back on track & one of the young men who works here spent a good 45 minutes with me talking with me about her health & needs... he gave me his suggestions (which meant I put back 4 other bottles of various vitamins I thought she needed) and instead go with JUST the two he suggested. He asked me to let him know in about two weeks how she was. Well it didn't take two weeks to see the improvement! Within just a few days she started feeling so much better. Now 8 months later she is completely back on track; strong, healthy, cleared skin...etc! His knowledge saved me time, money & gave me peace of mind. I regret that I never got his name. Out of all the vitamin stores in the area (GNC, Nutrishop, Lindberg, etc..) not one has been as informative, low cost, and just a great place to shop like this Vitamin Shoppe location. Usually when I arrive in a vitamin store such as GNC, I am not greeted and when I finally am, I am hounded with questions irrelevant to my needs. I had once walked out of Lindberg because of the large amount of questions I was hounded with. I first walked into this new location and immediately was brought to attention by 3/4 of the employees and greeted by more than one. On this trip I was looking for a new protein supplement as well as a pre-workout. Cristobal was the associate that helped me and he was beyond helpful. He knew exactly what I wanted and made sure I was happy with what I bought. He asked me questions about my workout routine and compared it to his as well as making sure that the products would help my overall workout goal. He vividly described and recommended exercises to add to my routine, I later saw him conversing in Spanish as well. His assurance that the prices were the lowest possible was matched as I searched and compared on my phone, he was correct! Overall I left the building more than satisfied with Optimum Nutrition protein and Supermax Pump pre-workout, both of which I use almost daily and am in love with. I DEFINITELY recommend that you come to Vitamin Shoppe before you go anywhere else, I do believe they match competitors prices as well. read more

I have been coming here sporadically for years. I am always greeted as I come in, and the employees are highly trained and really know their products. Usually I know exactly what I need and they always escort me to the proper area and make sure to answer any questions I may have. My recent visit was different - I came in with tons of questions about nutrition, based on doctor recommendations. Nathan walked me around the store, pointing out the different items available and explaining the differences. He showed which items were more popular vs. what would be more effective for my needs, and even pointed out a few things I could research later. He even helped me collect some items from a higher shelf (hey folks, I am only 5'3"- I can't reach everything!) There is never any hard up-sell or push to buy more products or more expensive items. They are very good about pointing out sale items and encouraging you to take advantage of any discounts coming your way. Polite, professional, well mannered. The store is ALWAYS clean, I have never come in and had to step around products fallen to the floor or still being stocked, leaving boxes in the aisles. A previous review noted that parking could be an issue ; I have never had this problem but can see where it might be an inconvenience as Party City and the surrounding other retail stores promote for the holiday season (which now seems to run from October through mid-January, to encompass Hallowe'en through New Year's and return season.) I prefer Vitamin Shoppe to GNC or Lindberg - those seem more geared towards bodybuilders and working out. At Vitamin Shoppe, I feel like my overall health is being addressed - not just one specific want or need. I look forward to a continued business relationship with Vitamin Shoppe. read more

I come here alot and have some spare time that I decided to write a review...been awhile since my last one. So here goes. Personally, I love this place because the prices are cheap and I will never ever buy my stuff at GNC ever again i think its been ages since i have stepped foot in one. I honestly have no idea how they stay in business. I have a feeling there customers are the type that critique others on yt on there form cause well you know they have sooo way better form on there squat or deadlift and they don't even do them but have the urge to sit behind a computer and give there expertise. But anyways i'm getting off subject here. I have been to there other location in Manhattan Beach but prefer this one cause all the staff is friendly and well since i workout at UFC i tend to pop in sometimes all sweaty on a daily basis to get my RTD. They carry Met-RX RTD's which is what i love drinking so I love this store even better. One employee Marvin is funny as hell and is always giving me samples which is cool in my book but all of the staff are cool. The only other supplement store that gets my money is Lindberg in Manhattan Beach because they have way better CS than the one in torrance. I guess in a nutshell you can say this store has excellent CS which is what brings me back. read more

I came in here with my friend to look for his protein shake and some carlson lab omega 3s for myself. The two representative's there were really helpful and their hospitality was beyond what I expected from a nutrition store. One of the representative's name is Anthony and he was very knowledgable unlike any other rep I've met. He helped my friend finally pick out the right protein powders and was the only person to persuade my friend to finally get what he was looking for. We went to so many different nutrition stores and I was very impressed with Anthony because he himself was an experienced trainer and seemed like he knew what he was talking about because my friend usually never buys anything. I shop here on a regular basis, I was there to return an item that did not agree with me the manager gave me an attitude, even though I buy over $150 everytime I go in. He rushed me on selecting another item, the rushed through the register procedure and did not want to spend anytime to answer my questions regarding the returned item.
