The Vitamin Shoppe is a fantastic company, with both brick and mortar and online shopping options. The company offers a HUGE variety of vitamins, health-oriented supplements, beauty products and sports nutrition (among other items) -- from many different manufacturers. AND they offer these items at a discount in most cases. PLUS they have a super loyalty rewards program. I get back substantial credit each year for buying. You can benefit from this rewards program whether you buy online or in the store! I received an email notice that this store just opened. I was thrilled! We zipped on down there as soon as possible. Vitamin Shoppe periodically offers a buy one, get one 50% off mix and match sale for their own brand (and sometimes for sports nutrition). It is a great deal. Plus they offer sales on other brands from time to time, on top of the usual discounts. Can you tell I'm a fan? We found the service friendly and informed, and the prices were the same as online. So, being the good little shopper, I stocked up on the buy one, get one 50% sale (going on as I write this). Their line of sports nutrition (protein powders) is huge and has competitive pricing. I also buy toiletries here as well as homeopathic items. They will give other stores here a bit of a challenge, as they are nation-wide and have buying power. Their online store also has a chatroom, so you can ask other shoppers questions, and people provide written reviews of some products (they have gotten into the social media sharing aspect). They also stand by their product without question (I had an issue and the online store took care of it). These stores are all owned by The Vitamin Shoppe (not franchised). Check it out and you will probably see substantial savings for nearly all items. Very glad to see them on my side of town. (There's one on Broadway on the east side now, I think.) read more

I take specific vitamins for medical conditions and they didn't carry a selection wide enough to allow me to stop shopping on Amazon. Friendly staff though and to be fair most of what I'm being treated with isn't in the same league as general vitamins- I with they stocked leutolin and DIM - or medical grade vitamins like Pure Encapsulations or Thorne. I have been a VS customer since the 1980's (in NYC) and a customer at the Tucson Oracle store since it first opened. Of all the managers who have been there, I want to say that Alissa is the longest serving and best of them all. She knows all the products and is genuinely enthusiastic and eager to help and educate customers. This place is a fraud operation.I bought a bottle of probiotic pills once online and today the 800 number says they are closed operations until Monday. Yet they state in an email that I placed the order again when I just awoke. Its being reported as FRAUD TO MY BANK FRAUD DIVISION as soon as their system is back in operation. read more

One of the friendliest, most helpful Vitamin Shoppes ever! I've been to many in CA and AZ and the staff at this particular store are exemplary!! Hats off to especially Alisa and Isaiah - I'll call ahead for some Bang Power Punch and they'll put one in the fridge so I have one to drink on the way out! Oh my goodness if you ever want to start on a health "trip" this is the place to start. They have so many different vitamins (hence the name), healthy dietary supplements, beauty products and homeopathic items as well. The staff was super helpful in assisting me find some of the items i needed to make my very own moisturizer. They helped me locate the items they had and provided suggestions for items they did not have. They also have a rewards program for frequent shoppers - LOVE THAT! The store manager here (I'm so sorry I can't remember his name) is the MOST helpful person I've ever come across in the vitamins and supplements industry. He stopped me from buying a brand of protein that he thought wasn't the best choice for myself and educated me about other brands, which I ended up going with the Iso-100 brand due to it being certified lactose free (which I didn't know until he told me!). He also went above and beyond for me trying to ship two boxes of Complete Cookies to my husband who is out of the country. I greatly appreciate all of his help and education. Terrible customer service. The so called 'manager' is not manager material. I apologized to the store employee thinking I should take responsibility for the dispute. I take it back. The store manager does not deserve an apology. She deserves a severe reprimand. Shame on you. Upon reviewing the confirmation email of my online purchase it clearly displays my credit card info and the amount of my TOTAL PURCHASE which included a quantity of SIX of the items I was at the store to pick up. Your comment that today's dispute was a carry over from my visit to the store yesterday was a bold face lie.
