Very convenient location as the one near me has closed, City of Industry. We were looking for a certain supplement but many stores only had delivery as an option, but we needed it right away. I ordered the night before for store pick-up, and it was ready the very next morning, a little after the store opened. I was greeted upon entering the store and was in and out in just a few minutes! Whoever is in charge of reading these yelp reviews, first and foremost, you need to fire your manager. Secondly, you need to contact head of property management and have them put trash receptacles around the building so the customers that are walking in are able to throw the trash away and or if they're buying ready to drink protein items, they're able to throw them out in a trash receptacle. There's three things that you're always able to control no matter the outside circumstances, and they are your attitude, effort, and choices. The female manager that was working today 12/12 at 2:30pm was rude, condescending, and unhelpful. I walk in with an empty box and a can that I wanted to throw away but instead of there being no trash receptacles prior to entering the building, I thought that I might be able to throw them away inside. She presumedly said, "we do, but you cannot throw your trash inside because it will begin to stink up our place." So instead of asking me if there was food in the box, she assumed that there wasn't and then responding in a condescending manner. (Attitude) After she was standing there and watched a guest go up to the register, and I was done selecting my item, I went up to the register. She instead decided to go in the back, and not ring me up in a timely manner (choice & no effort) I'll be ordering all my things off Amazon. They're cheaper, quicker and less hassle. What happened to decent customer service? My first visit to this location, in West Covina. I've been a regular customer at the Puente Hills/City of Industry location, for 3 years. One of the reasons that I've kept going to that location is their excellent customer service. So, roughly around 2 months ago, I went into my regular location and was met by a real friendly and knowledgeable associate (maybe manager?). In passing he ends up telling me that he actually, works at their West Covina store and was there filling in. I live in West Covina and had not realized that there was a location there. My daughter and I decided to make our monthly vitamin and protein bar haul at the Vitamin Shoppe in West Covina. I was happy to see that they are located right off the 10 fwy. We walk in and only two female employees were there (0 customers). They both made eye contact with us and didn't offer us a welcome or assistance. They kept chatting about some guy one of them was dating. Ok, no biggie. I didn't take it personal and my daughter and I browsed the entire store. Twenty minutes later, we were ready to checkout. The brunette simply asked me if, we were ready to checkout. I answered yes. Other than asking me for my phone number for my membership number, that was the pretty much the extent of her communication with me. She came off as down right rude. While, checking out I asked her if, they carried Quest Cereal Bars and she replied dryly, "Everything we carry is out on the sales floor." I quickly caught on that I had interrupted her conversation with the other female employee (blonde). I left, the store feeling disappointed but also, figured that maybe it was just "one of those days" for that employee checking us out at the register. Fast forward to last night, to 7:35pm. My daughter and I encounter the same brunette employee who was rude to us last time. In a nutshell, the same thing happened with her lack of customer service skills. Was she asleep during customer service engagement training? Unreal! Yesterday, was my last time shopping here. I'll keep shopping at their Puente Hills location. This is a nice location, right off the freeway and pretty easy to get in and out of the parking lot. There isn't much parking right in front of the store, but there are usually open spaces. If not, you can park on the other side of the lot. The shelves are pretty nicely stocked with a large variety of items from name brands to their store brand. In fact, there are almost too many choices. The staff are helpful, although not always the most knowledgable about the products (but they try). I appreciate the fact that they are around and available to help, but they don't hound you. The store is nicely organized. Definitely sign up for the discount card if you plan on shopping here more than once. read more

I called them around 9am and a female employee put me on hold for 8 and half min! I was only half mile away so i hung up and decided to just go there. There were NO customers kn the store, and there was a female employee walking around and a guy name Frank behind the counter. He asked "how can i help you?" I told him what i needed and also said that a female employee put me on hold for 8 1/2 minutes and never came back. He didnt even apologized, NOR did the female employee who by now was behind the counter looking for something! They didnt have wat i needed so we ended up doing a special order for the item and said that they wud let me know when it comes into the store. Around April 23 I went in to the store and spoke wit Frank to see what happened to my order because it has been long time already. He was nice and offered to call me if my order came in that day on their delivery truck. Well i didnt get a callback. Few days later I called the store again, this time I spoke to Daniel who gave me the phone# to the "customer service" dept. I called them and she said they shipped my order to the Vitamin Shoppe the next day on April 10. They didnt know wat happened to it after that. She was very kind and tried to re-order my order but for watever reason it wudnt go thru.Frustrated i cancelled my order. The next couple days i called the Vitamin Shoppe to ask if i cud just pay cash at their store to avoid having my debit payment in "pending status" wit my checking acct. Nope....they will only do special orders via debit/credit card "bcuz its coming from the warehouse". Sighhhhhhhhh.....okay, if u want to go get your vitamins or nutritional needs i guess the store wud be okay to get them from there.
