I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bar!!!! Duke's was the highlight of our trip to Kenosha from Florida. They have great liquor and beer selections, games, plenty of tv's AND attentive, knowledgeable bartenders! The best part....the special's shelf. I'm not sure if it's an all the time thing or just when we were there but we tried amazing bottles of close out shots at a deeply discounted rate. Pretty disappointed in the customer service here. For a small town corner bar, they should really pay more attention to the customers who bring money into this establishment. We walked in toward the beginning of the night. It was quiet inside and the young girl bartender walked toward us and just stared with an irritated expression. After an awkward pause and no greeting, I asked if the bar was open. She did not answer...so I asked if we could order something. As she was serving our beer, she blurted "This is a college bar." Whaaaat???... Why would she tell us that? Was it because we were NOT college students? So weird and rude. We had our beer as people came in. Ironically they were not college students either. After that, we were completely ignored. Sat there with our empty beer bottles until we left. Added note: the owner stood toward the back of the bar and ignored our empty beer bottles pushed to the front edge of the bar, signaling we were ready for another round. Shameful. The atmosphere was great. The bar was large enough to have fun. They have swing bar stools. However, I cannot imagine what that looks like late in the evening... The beer was cold. HOWEVER, I will not return based on the inexperienced, unprofessional and unfriendly service. The owner might want to address this problem ASAP! read more

NEVER COME TO THIS BAR. I used to like going to this bar until some dude that worked there got into my friends and I's faces screaming at us for something we didn't even do, theatening to kick us out. When we tried to ask him what he "saw" and what we "did", he would just scream over us and not listen. Worst experience of my life that made me not want to ever come back and leaving me so pissed. It's one thing to be accused of something and another to be accused of something you didn't do and not even have them listen to what you have to say. Never felt so disrespected, and embarrassed inviting my friends to the place I recommended to them just for them to experience this. I never write reviews but never felt so disrespected. Please don't go to a place that treats their customers like this when there are other great places around the area! read more

Waiting in line to get in, some ladies talking about getting some friends from Coins and coming back to confront some girl. Lots of people just loitering around without drinks and something abnormal was CLEARLY happening in the bathroom. Will not recommend or go back. read more

There's nothing country about this place other than the music.. until later at night when it just becomes another "club". If you want to go to a place with a good atmosphere and get a drink, hang out in a fun environment.. go somewhere else. Nice theme and cool lookin place but wayyyyyy over priced 9.50 for a Malibu pineapple and they didnt even use Malibu.... Next day i told some friends about how me and the wife went to a country bar in Kenosha and they replied "it wasnt dukes was it?" I said ya and they said forget that place. They agreed when they went there it was wayyyy over priced and the service was slow and rude. We didnt have slow or rude service but definitely agreed it was super over priced. My first time experience at Duke's, Devon was the most amazing bartender. A great quick conversationalist while keeping the drinks flowing.

This place sucked. Rude bar tenders. Over crowded with sloppy college kids. Nothing country about this place. Country music on the TV screen but no country music played. Gross girls dancing to gross music on the bar. Literally a place for college kids to get enough liquid courage to snag a chick...all this place seems to be good for. This bar is the feel of country in the city! 9 wooden swings around the bar, all the latest and oldest country you could ever want to listen to in the jukebox, live bands like Saddlebrook, Matt Meyer, and Bella Cain on the weekends from time to time, and of course cold moonshine , beer and great service! Duke's is okay. When it's busy you'll wait a long time to get a drinks, or to even close a tab. I waited 45 minutes to close my tab one night. Very friendly staff. They're pitchers of mix drinks are a joke. You're basically getting a double with a lot more soda. It's not to bad of a place. read more

Went here for my brother's birthday on New Year's Eve. The bar wasn't busy but they were slow. I think it's a great themed bar but a lot of snobby people. The bartenders were a little rude. The mixed drinks were not that strong, mainly soda or juice. Even though it's a country themed bar they have a juke box with main selections, though some people didn't like when non country songs came on. So many wannabe "red necks" at this bar. read more

I wanted to love this place. I mean they have swings! It was horrible though. When we closed out our tab we were given someone elses card and when we told them they never apologized or told the other patron. Also the bartender and I'm guessing the owner were in the back of the bar playing dice making it very hard to even order a drink. Combine that with the extremely overserved man who could barely walk out and the fact I was served a very watered down $5 sprite and gin with a brown lime when i ordered gin and tonic, this was the worst bar I have ever been to and we frequented many in my 20s. read more

Nice decor. The bartender was rude and ignored us after our first drink. Very poor attitude. There were maybe six customers so he wasn't too busy. He had time to talk to them as he ignored us. I've never not left a tip until I stopped by Dukes. My friend was looking forward to visiting this bar. We won't be looking back. read more

Stopped in Duke's last night (Wednesday) after spending a week on leave (military) from Germany. My brother and I walked into the bar and the bartender was hunched over the bar looking at photos or something of sort with two young ladies. We sat down and literally waited five minutes for him to take our order. Instead, he continued to ignore us and never served us. We actually had 8 of my brother's coworkers on their way to meet us, but instead we had to walk out due to getting no service from this bartender, so we ended up spending our money at another establishment. The bartender actually raised his head when he noticed us walking out and still said nothing; unbelievable! This could have been an isolated incident at Duke's that may have been solely based on this particular bartender, and if so hopefully the owner is reading this because I have never had this happened at a bar.
