Toad Hall is my go to place in Racine for a quick drink or a great meal. Jamie has done a great job keeping patrons safe and welcome during the pandemic and that attention to creating a great client experience has carried to these safer times. I'm partial to the unique tater tot plates, and the fact I can get Smithwick's on tap. The snugs are also fantastic private booths that are only found at this establishment in Racine. The burger list should definitely not be overlooked. And if you're into Irish music, look for Toad Hall to host jam sessions on certain weekends. Cheers! read more

I've eaten here once before years ago and was not impressed but I thought I'd give it a try one more time. I ordered the cubano. My husband got home and they sent a burger with bbq sauce instead of the cubano. He went all the way back to get my sandwich and I can't even eat it. The ham is supposed to be deli ham, they put a huge chunk of a honey ham (like the ones you buy for Easter) with the brown sugar glaze. Are Cubans eating this kind of ham? No. Then there a sliced pork loin instead of slow roasted shredded pork with lots of garlic and oregano and citrus like a Cuban lechon would have. It's not even edible. I wanted so badly to like this. I just had back surgery and can't go anywhere. I was hoping they could get a sandwich right. It was horrible. I immediately gagged. I'm not a food snob, I'll literally eat just about anything but it has to actually taste good. I'm really sorry toad hall but yall need some cooking lessons. read more

This place was so good. We were bummed we found it on the last night we were in town, we would have come back again for sure! Dark and cozy English pub. There are games all over the place so you can order drinks and hang with friends for a while. The vibes here are so great! Service was very friendly! The menu is very impressive! There are items inspired by all sorts of cuisines! Thai, Italian, Greek, American, whatever you are craving, they will probably have it. I went with the pork bahn mi. The pork was SO good. Tender and flavorful, the pickled veggies were the right amount of tart, tangy, sweet, and a little heat. The handcut fries were delicious. Their beer list was great. Came in on Memorial Day when most everything else was closed. Yasmine was absolutely amazing. Suggested wonderful menu and drink options. Executed some delicious cocktails. Was friendly and engaging. Great burgers, great buffalo chicken wrap! And love the English pub vibe which was kept from the previous owners.

Amazing food and fabulous service. We enjoyed some great local brews while dining on a Trojan Burger and a really tasty meatloaf. Stop here and enjoy the great atmosphere. Can't beat the service. Definitely a cut above standard pub fare! Note that their menu is larger than what they show on their website. I was trying to remember the specifics of the FANTASTIC burger I had there, but it was nowhere to be found on their website. Whatever it's name, it was a cheeseburger with chorizo and fried jalapenos on it. One of many inventive burger creations on the menu. I would ordinarily say that I'd like to go back to try more of them, but this thing was so good I don't know if I could bring myself to order anything else! Also tried the cheese curds, which were very good as well, with a very tasty, somewhat-spicy sauce. The group I was with really liked the fish tacos and the accompanying fried pickles. The fare at Toad Hall is very much a cut above average pub food. The burger and sandwich offerings show some real creativity. Standouts include the Cubano sandwich (made with pork carnitos, ham, swiss cheese plus dill and spicy mustard spreads) and the Trojan Horse burger (burger patty topped with gyros meat, tomato, feta cheese and onion). Toad Hall is a friendly bar that serves great burgers at a good price. My son and I were in search of a place to eat on a Sunday, and the employees at RAM recommended Toad Hall. We're thankful that they did. Lunch prices are $1 off between 11a-2p, and the menu is extensive for a bar- Mussels, Sandwiches with a twist, salads, burgers, a Coffee Stout Chili that is on my To-Do list. My son and I went with the burgers. A friend later told me that Toad Hall grinds their own meat, how you like dem, er, apples?! - The Breakfast Burger- fried egg, bacon, cheddar cheese. My burger. Very good! Especially when the egg yolk broke all over. Mmm. - Patty Melt- Carmelized onions and Merkt's cheddar cheese spread. Take this combo to Vegas, because it cannot lose. My son loved this and the only thing that could make this better is A1 or similar steak sauce. Both burgers cooked perfectly to order! At Toad Hall you can belly up to the bar, enjoy the game, dine in one of their booths. There's not a lot of dining room, but their food is worth it. I placed ann order for the meatloaf sandwich and it surpassed all my expectations. The meatloaf was perfectly seasoned and piled high with thick bacon and cheese between Texas toast which was a great change from the average bun and while I did not spend much time inside the inside was very nice and the staff was friendly and polite so I would love to revisit and dine in since it really is a nice setting and definitely not your average dive bar plus the menu has many options to choose from that stand out from your average bar food so I would highly recommend Toad Hall and my only regret is that I did not try them sooner but I will be sure to make up for that in the future. read more

I've eaten here a few times, and it's ok. I've had good food. I've never had great food. Well... On St. Patty's, I had a great Irish poutine. But at the same meal, I had Guinness mussels that really needed to be better rinsed... Or just rinsed. I was there with a few people once, and none of us loved anything we ordered, but we all finished our plates, so... I'm glad they're trying to do this whole Irish pub food thing, but the drawing board may need some consulting. I love being Irish, and good Irish food, and Guinness, but I hate Irish music. We sat at the bar and immediately got asked if we wanted the brunch or lunch menu and what we wanted to drink. Had very friendly quick service. We went into Toad Hall for dinner on a Friday night. The bar was busy, but we were able to easily get a seat in a booth. The booths are traditional British booths, with the tall divisions; I enjoy the coziness and the privacy from our neighbors. We were brought menus and a beer list. The beer list is LONG, and I had a hard time deciding what to order. There is a good selection of imports and domestic craft beers. I settled on an Antwerpen Guinness, and my friends ordered a Belgian and a beer from Kenya. They brought beer glasses unique to each style of beer which is always fun, though the choices were not quite right. Small things, but the glass for the Belgian was way too big with too much extra room, and the glass for the Guinness was too small, and the entire beer didn't fit in the small glass. Not a big deal, just odd. I never have too hard of a time deciding on food at a British pub, and knew I wanted to order fish and chips. It was a good thing I knew what I wanted before I even opened the menu, because the menu was overwhelming. There were many different selections to choose from ranging from very American burgers, to unique burgers to traditional British food. It was a bit to varied in choices for me, though for some that could certainly be a benefit if your party has a hard time agreeing on a type of food. The food was good and I did enjoy it, but nothing overly spectacular. The service was a little slow, our waiter kept disappearing. Once he brought the check it took him quite a while to come back to take the credit cards. I would probably go again if I found myself in Racine again, though that's unlikely. I'm more of a burger person myself (which there is a whole page on the menu, regular sized menu, full of crazy burgers!) This was my first visit here. The atmosphere was excellent and the pub was beautiful. The food was very solid and affordable. I had a burger as did my husband and we were very pleased. We had our kiddos with us so we were not able to enjoy the bar but I would certainly come back to try it when we had the time to do so.
