I've always recommended Beacon for wings but tonight I am really saddened. I ordered wings like I always do and this is what was given tonight. Did they change their wings? Because these are not the "Beacons wings" I know! There was nothing jumbo about the wings. The sweet potato fries are the only thing I can recommend from Beacons now on. read more

Three couples from out of town stopped in for dinner. Kim went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She provided excellent service. We all had different awesome meals! The fried chicken dinner, the ranch chicken wrap and the burgers were delicious. I highly recommend dropping by!!! read more

Shit service, used to love this place. Supported through covid, and no thanks on the backside. It's a hassle going here and it's not worth it. The food is good but the service is so shitty it's not worth it. Service is better at Taco Bell. If you have not eaten at Beacon yet, GO NOW. Food is excellent, service is outstanding. The staff is so welcoming, fun and friendly. The menu is not your typical bar food menu. I highly reccommend the bacon cheesey tots and the finnish cheese appetizer, SO good. We had the Friday Fish fry and burgers, all excellent. This is one of those neighborhood bar kinda bars. A comfy little joint where you can sit at the bar and mind yer own biz, or you can get down with the mix of regulars that seem to always be there. Friendly bartenders and friendly locals make it feel homey. A recent rebranding back to the name from 20 yrs ago, a solid remodel (including seriously improved lighting) and a new and expanded menu have the place really looking good. We were sad to see the bacon cheese fries go, but the catfish was better than Yardarm, so DAAAANG!!! There's all kindsa stuff to do, too. They've got a few pool tables and a few dartboards, if you're into the whole "activity" thang. Wow! What a hidden gem! I was looking for a place for my softball team and fans to go to celebrate the end of a successful season. Stopped in and Kim was GREAT! She arranged to have extra staff on hand to accommodate our group. On to the food...the bacon and cheddar tots are to die for! The spinach dip with grilled pitas was delish as well. The wings are huge and have plenty of sweet and spicy sauce (they have several to choose from) and the cheese curds were good as well. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the portions are generous. Someone recommended this tavern to me. I'm glad they did. The fried chicken is great. It's always juicy and well seasoned. The tater tots are great. Lastly, the ginger old fashioned is great.
