Avoid if you are not a local. We love eating at small town diners and supporting local businesses rather than franchises, but they will make you feel uncomfortable af. Local cops were there talking shit about "used to be a nice local place" and giving dirty looks to us the entire time. Not missing much anyway because this was extremely subpar overpriced food that was slow. read more

We wanted to take a nice drive from Knoxville so we found this restaurant on the way. Cozy interior with fireplace crackling, plenty of UT decorations and televisions showing sports but not too loud. We had the country fried steak, meatloaf, and hamburger steak which came with grilled peppers and onions on top and I would recommend all of it! The owner even came over to introduce himself and thank us for our patronage. Great little backroads stop. read more

I've only been twice, and the food was good both times. Good service. The place of course has a real sports team feel to it, which is not my thing, but it was a good meeting place halfway between Knoxville and LaFollette to have lunch with someone. I seek out these "hole in the wall" type places when we travel, so we stopped on the way home from a weekend in Pigeon Forge. This place is worth the short drive off the interstate! Service was prompt and friendly, food came out fast, and was very good. We had the vols scramble, the chicken and waffles, and beverages ...all for under $25, and we didn't leave hungry. Would definitely stop again if we are in the area. read more

We stopped to eat breakfast while traveling and so glad we stumbled upon this little treasure. We all got breakfasts and everything came out right and it was so good. I have eaten at this restaurant several times in the last week. I went for the first time with my mother and it was so good I just had to take my hubby. Both the breakfast and lunch options were really good. The servings are generous and the prices bet fair. The restaurant is clean, and the owner was in duty both times I went in. With so few sit down options and very few breakfast options in Clinton I say take the drive and see for yourself. I do not believe that you will be disappointed. read more

You can not go wrong with this place! We are from out of town and stopped in for breakfast. The pancakes are huge!! They taste delicious! The bacon served with it is a great portion size. The cheese grits are sooo cheesy! The biscuits and gravy are a perfect balance of pepper and cream. The best part are the people and the price. Such a great little place! Super clean and extremely affordable. All the employees were exceptionally friendly. I had the veggie omelet with a side of hash browns. It was HUGE! I shared with my husband and he also had a two stack of pancakes. The kids ordered the French toast off the regular menu, 6 smaller slices, plus one had bacon and the other had sausage patties and they ate it all. Everything was SO GOOD! We were charmed by this place! Got off I-75 at the Rocky Top exit just curious to see the place in the song. I used Yelp to find a good country breakfast place and when we drove up Sunday around 12:30 the lot was full and I thought "must be good!" We were greeted by an adorable little 9 year old daughter of one of the waitresses. She had big brown eyes, her hair in braids, and was wearing an apron. With a big confident smile she said, "You can follow me" and she took us to a table. The local after-church crowd was finishing their lunches and the little girl was busy cleaning off tables. My wife and I each ordered two eggs, biscuits and gravy, country ham and hash browns, and the bill was $22. The gravy needed more sausage in it for my taste, but the biscuits were big and fluffy. While it is not fancy its great food, friendly staff and great prices make this a great place to go and is not far off the highway. Up to this point we have only eaten here for dinner. For just a little more than the cost of fast food you can get a delicious meal that tastes a lot better. While we rarely order deserts at restaurant's these deserts are to die for. Went last night and will likely be back once more this week to try the fish on Friday. So far everything we have had has been great and will add this to our places to eat out. read more
