Then tried to pay with cash only to be told they ONLY take card BUT there's a 3% fee for using your card. The tech put one nail on crooked then tried to file it to "fix it" & I had to ask for it to be redone or else she would have left it like that. It also took 2.5 hours to just do gel extensions with painted French tips. Quality was definitely not worth the price paid. read more

I got a plain old manicure here last week and I really enjoyed the experience. I usually do my nails myself but wanted to treat myself. The nail tech took great attention to file my nails to my preference and carefully remove my cuticles. She then gave me a luscious hand massage with a lavender scented mask. Finally she primed my nails and put on 2 layers of the nail polish of my choice. Went in for The Pedi at 3pm. Chose the W due to the mentioned cleanliness but did not feel it was any cleaner than other salons I've been too. The pedi description states it include a can't-live-without massage and essential oil hot towel wrap. The massage i received was all of 2 minutes and was the first time at a pedicure my calves/legs were not included. I did not receive a towel wrap at all. The polish was so thick that it smudged off in a chunk 4 hours later. Overall would not recommend. read more

I never knew the name of the technician who did my nails but she did a okay job. I adore this unassuming place! We had a bit of a ick experience with a local nail salon (downtown) with the gel x service being $50/each more than quoted and the nails all fell off or lifted hilariously in under two weeks. I was a wee bit salty at wasting $250. Katelyn got me in straight away just for the easiest removal of all time. She was sweet, professional and quick! Immediately the girl who was helping us seemed a little rushed and told us they didn't have time to give the girls gel polish because they booked appts too close together. It makes me so sad to write this review-- mostly because I don't live in Ohio anymore and The W was my go-to nail salon. I have been seeing Heather for about a year now. She works both at this location and the German Village location. For the past few months, I've been seeing her on Saturdays at the Polaris location. Heather is fantastic and always does such a great job with both manis and pedis. She takes her time and ensures that all of her clients leave pleased. One thing I loved about her is that before she started to paint the nails, she would pause and ask "Does everything look okay before I start?" It's a minor thing, but it honestly makes such a difference --as I'm soon finding out as I try to look for a new manicurist :( I honestly would go 4 weeks before any chipping would happen. it was very rare that I'd having any chipping with a gel mani in less than 4 weeks. One time I loved a discontinued color so much that Heather went out of her way and somehow was able to still order it from the manufacturer. Ugh-- how I'm going to miss being a client of hers. To the management- please send Heather out to Scottsdale, AZ to open up a W Nail Bar here so that I can have her as my manicurist again! read more

Not only that she engaged with me and asked about my day, etc. We then got to speaking about doing specialty gel manicures and now I have a cute manicure appointment for my trip to Disney in July! We were pointing at everything and ooohhing and aawwwing. We would live in this nail bar if we could! I have been to the W nail bar a few times in the short north and decided to give one of there new locations a try. First I want to start off by saying they are very accomodating because I was running late and they were still able to fit in my whole appointment. I got a pedicure and then a gel manicure. This location is in the back of the DSW. This salon is BEATUIFUL and so chic looking. Everything is very modern and open and I love it! For the pedicure you get to choose which bomb you want to put in it and I chose the coffee, which I haven't done before. They always do such a great detailed job with pedicures. I also love my manicures there and they are always making sure that you love the color. My nail tech also made sure to bring out a few variety of colors so I could get the shade I wanted. All of their colors are organized along the wall so it's very easy to compare shades. While the W nail bar is a little pricey, I overall think the service their is amazing read more

My friend and I came to this location a few weeks ago. I really appreciate the parking at the DSW Polaris location because you won't be late trying to find parking! I love the idea that this location is inside of DSW. The two wonder nail artists told us the history of why the W Nail Bars are in DSW stores. Getting to the manicure and pedicure it self I loved that they foot soak and scrubs are all made in-house. I've noticed at other nail salons that I've been to that my skin feels so dry after the scrub. Here my skin felt like butter! So moisturizing it was insane. The nail artists did a fabulous job and it was lovely talking with them while they did our nails. I will definitely be coming back to this location and other locations! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT As a person who works in advertising, let me just say, giving a service a name in bold print then contradicting the implications of said service in the fine print is false advertisement in it's purest form. I have been a loyal customer of W for years. With that being said, I am a extremely disappointed with my services today. Firstly, beware that W has changed the names of their services--and it's completely confusing. This is why companies should hire copywriters. I just paid $81 for polish changes on my hands and feet. Crazy. The In and Out Pedi is not a pedi. They spray your toenails, shape them, paint them and drop on cuticle oil. THAT'S IT! No cuticle work. No hot towel. No soak. None of the components of a pedicure. This service needs to be renamed. Again, hire a copywriter. My appointment was at 12:30. I wasn't in the chair until 12:45. She looked for polish for 5 mins. They didn't have my color. It took another 2-4 to choose and get the second polish. By 1:10 I was in the chair for my mani. If you do the math, that means my 45 min service was actually 20 minutes at best. The In and Out Mani is not a mani. It's a polish change. See above. The shape I asked for is not what I got. I was mugged for all my length. They moved my appointment up--which was cool--but I told the receptionist I still needed to remove a tiny bit of polish from 6 fingers. She said it would not be an issue. The manicurist even walked me to the register and reiterated to the receptionist who'd since come on shift that I was not to be charged for a removal; because it really wasn't a removal. Needless to say, he charged me anyway. They then said their boss would have to credit my account, but their boss was busy, and I should expect the refund to show on my account later. I won't hold my breath for that. I really feel he added it on purpose, because he fiddled with the computer for 3 minutes, and he had a smug attitude. He also refused to sign my loyalty card. The pic I am uploading will show 1. The time I was in the mani chair after my pedi. 2. The shape I asked for--mind you, my length wasn't too far off from the IG pic. 3. My length on July 13th. 4. The shape I got, and as you can imagine, how I was mugged for 3 weeks worth of growth. This pretty much ruined my day. I'm so livid I feel like crying. read more

The atmosphere of all the locations is absolutely gorgeous. It's exactly how I imagine heaven's waiting room to look like. You know, if heaven were a nail salon (fingers crossed that it is!) Not to mention it's so clean! It really helps you to know that cleanliness and client safety comes first. The pedicures are AMAZING and the gel manis are great! The manis tend to stay the 14 days or more! They also have a great policy- if it chips or breaks within your first week, you can get it fixed! The staff is not only very talented with art and extremely knowledgeable, but every nail tech has their own unique personality! Basically, assuring that everyone will find a nail tech that they can vibe with! That family concept really shines through in their customer service- from receptionists to the managers AND the technicians! When my normal nail technician had to cancel I was so happy to be able to get in somewhere else on such short notice. Amber did a fantastic job. This salon is located at the back of DSW in Polaris so parking was not an issue. Upon checking in I was immediately offered a drink and directed to pick out my color. The technician whom I was booked with was running behind so someone else started with removal of my previous polish. I didn't mind that cause at least I didn't have to wait. The salon was very clean, simple, and modern. They offered all your usual amenities as other nail salons except they don't believe in using the pedicure tubs with the jets since they can carry bacteria.
