I love this bar. Not sure why my review says Go-go gimlet wasn't good - it's my favorite. Music and vibe is always a good time. Plus can't beat the prices and so many places to eat in the nearby area.

I'm gonna go out on a limb. ..and say the fellas were in charge of the Valentine's Day decor, lol.

##FriendlyAsFuck bar in Logan Square with pretty good cocktails and snacks. By snacks I'm referring to bags of chips, lol. They do allow outside food and there's even free delivery from Cafe Con Leche & The Harding. Happy Hour is 5-8pm Monday thru Friday. The Walk In prides itself on being a dog friendly bar, so be mindful if you have allergies or uncomfortable around large dogs. There's a dart board, Uno and a few board games available. Seating includes a few booths, high tables and if course seats at the bar. A step above a dive bar, but the same communal vibe. The cocktail menu changes fairly often and the bartenders are capable of whipping up off menu drinks. If you're in the area this is a fine option.

I feel like "dive bar" is misleading... it's small-ish, but has a great intimate vibe and well-made drinks that are mixed with care and quality ingredients. Cozy in the winter with great big garage windows to open in the summer. Great drinks and totally recommend hitting their weekday happy hour~ a decent selection of their yummy cocktails for just $6! :)

    They have games!

One of my favorite places to grab a drink. In the summer the front is open and you're able catch a breeze while people watching. The music ranges from 90s pop to classic hip hop to the latest rap and keeps you in good vibes while the bartenders (who are super awesome and sweet) serve up drinks in the blink of an eye. There are plenty of regulars and strangers become friends quicker than you know!

We met a couple of the bartenders from The Walk In a couple of years ago at a Yelp Cocktail Event, and loved both them AND their drinks, and have been meaning to stop by their actual location ever since then. We finally got a chance this past weekend, as we were barhopping a bit in the neighborhood, and remembered they were nearby. I'm so happy we did...what a great place! It was a beautiful summer day, so the front windows were open and a fan in the back was creating a lovely breeze. The bartender was friendly (as promised) and the drinks were all delish. A couple of chill dogs were in attendance, along with a small crowd of chatting locals. I wish this was closer to my neighborhood, as I would frequent this place quite often!!

Great vibes, pretty much the only bar that's open late around the area with great hip hop music and a fun dance vibe. Love it!

I live in Logan Square and shame on me, I didn't know about them until Yelp's Cocktail of Chicago event. If you went to the event, you know The Walk In WON as the best cocktail of Chicago! Their drink The Get Down has freshly squeezed pineapple juice, rum, citrus and drambuie in it - a true crowd pleaser. And you can come here to get it!!! At the event, their staff was #FriendlyAsFuck just as their signature hashtag suggests. I went to the Walk In last night to try them out live and in person! Sarah from the event was working and she was once again, really friendly & personable. They really have an amazing team here! When we first walked in about 6pm, we were the only ones in there so got our chat time but it quickly filled up to the brim. They have some belly-up bar seating, as well as a bunch of booths. I could see this as being a great spot for a first date! Now the Happy Hour at the Walk In? It's something hopes & dreams & unicorns are made of! $3 beers and $5 cocktails. FIVE DOLLAR COCKTAILS. You can have the delicious Gimlet or four others on their menu for just 5 bucks. That's an unheard of deal for such delicious, well-crafted drinks. The two I tried really were full of flavor. The regular price for these drinks is just $8 which seems super cheap to me, too, with some of the more hardcore cocktails priced at $10-13. I don't know how I've gone the past few months without The Walk In in my life. This slashy is within walking distance to me and that makes me ever~so~happy! Pro-Tip: BYOF - Bring Your Own Food.

However I think the holiday spirit got to him a couple of weeks ago because he took me to Consignment which is one of he and his wife's faves. The name is as it says - the bar doubles as a secondhand store and whatever is on display is for sale. I adored it! The service was awesome - I always love chopping it up with Black bartenders - and the crowd was very very queer. I was legitimately in heaven. So much doesn't feel safe right now - especially with the J6 goon squad running amok in Chicago trafficking people. It was nice to be among my people enjoying great drinks in a buzzy atmosphere. Because we are old, we got there by 730 on a Saturday and surprisingly it was already packed! Patience won the day though and within 45 minutes we snagged some stools against the wall. I had a great time here and hope to return!

There's a bar and some seating options in the front room. The back room looks like your elder relatives' basement with random stuff on display like clothing, buttons, books about weather vanes, and even some baseball cards. They have a back patio too, and there was a food popup going on during our visit though we did not try anything. We each enjoyed Maplewood Son of Juice brews in these vintage-y glasses, and also some cups of water. We wonder how well the secondhand merchandise moves, and hey you just might want to buy that ceramic camel on display after downing a few adult beverages.

Yet, the bartenders greet us with such a warm and friendly energy that I know with absolute certainly that I have been a regular at this bar for years. Decades. Centuries. I know within my soul that this was my go-to bar in a past life (and hopefully in the next). Just as welcoming as the awesome people are the $1 PBRs and $3 shots of tequila. And of course they hand out free hot dogs every night at midnight, which in my (intoxicated) mind was cemented as the definitive Chicago dog, even if it comes with no toppings whatsoever. And fittingly complementing the amazing energy of the bar is a 10 hour Youtube video of that memed Ukrainian kid dancing at a club playing endlessly on the TVs. Rocking sunglasses and looking like a stud, absolutely grooving without a single care in the world, and effortlessly matching every single song on the bar's playlist. That kid truly embodies the spirit of this bar. No matter what day it is, what time of day it is, or who visits, the bar's energy always works. Vibing to Black Eyed Peas on a Monday night never felt better. Imma be... back one day, rest assured. I genuinely can't wait for the next time I'm greeted with, "Welcome back."
