Ok this place feels underrated! We went here for Father's Day, [[HIGHLIGHT]]it wasn't too busy or loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The server was wonderful and gave good recommendations. The food was delicious. Every dish was delightful! I initially thought the spaghettios were gimmicky but it was my favorite dish! Just simple and yummy! They said they change their menu every few months so I look forward to coming back!

Had a wonderful meal recently at Void! The staff was accommodating for a growing reservation days in advance and warm and friendly the day of our visit. (Shout out to Sydney!) All the food I tried was fantastic! You absolutely need to order the focaccia and the spaghetti uh-ohs. The rest of the table will be filled with yummy food too, but those two are necessary! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I really like the vibe in here, too. It's funky and fun and still comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Free street parking out front!

The service was so good here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was kind of warm when my friends and I were there and the AC was not working.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server saw how hot we were and passed out some fans that they had, which was nice of her to do. Drinks and food were delicious. Loved the focaccia. We ordered some items on the menu that was recommended by our waitress. The shrimp scampi toast was amazing and fried chicken marsala was so good. I would love to have those dishes again. The steak was good but I felt like it was a little overcooked from what we requested. I'm not a fan of beets, but my friends ordered it and enjoyed it.

We feasted! Tequila Zebras, focaccia and a wedge salad to start, followed by perfectly-prepared branzino and a huge serving of remarkable fried chicken. We should have stopped there but couldn't resist the sundae. "Uncle!" they shouted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had reservations but opted for seats at the very comfortable bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Void deserves all the accolades posted to Yelp!

Void has a cozy, eclectic interior that feels like you're stepping into someone's home. There seemed to be a lot of couples on dates here, so this is a great date spot or somewhere for a more intimate dinner. The food feels quite home-y as well, like you're eating recreations of your childhood favorites. Our server was very friendly and helped lead us through the menu. To eat, we had the focaccia, shrimp scampi toast, spaghetti uh-o's, scallops, and fried chicken marsala. Everything was prepared very well. My favorite dishes were the scallops and fried chicken. I wasn't that impressed by the fun spaghetti uh-o's, since the flavor didn't feel that out of the ordinary to me. For dessert, we enjoyed the chocolate tiramisu and peanut butter gelato. The peanut butter gelato was out of this world! Felt like eating a PB&J but in ice cream form. Void often changes up their menu, so I would go back to try some of their other dishes.

Drinks = Survival Item: Sweet, but not oppressively so, this drink has a pleasant bitterness reminiscent of Amaro. It's rich and has just the right amount of booziness. You'll find it in the "Unfamiliar" section of the menu, and it's as approachable as it is creative. No-Lört: The bar claims to have successfully removed Malört's only redeeming feature, and they might be right. The No-Lört is sweeter, with a less bitter aftertaste that doesn't linger as long. I have a tradition where friends visiting from out of town must take a shot of Malört with me. For my friends who don't drink, this will have to be close enough, even if I won't get the same satisfaction as I would from the "torture" of the real thing. Atmosphere and Service = The vibe is pleasant and a little unusual. The cooler has stained glass, taper candles are on the bar, and fire-light bulbs add to the ambiance. The music helps set the scene and plays at a reasonable volume. The service is very friendly, welcoming, and kind. Food = I do have one gripe, and it's about their food menu. A bar really benefits from a well-thought-out appetizer selection. It's invaluable to have small bites for people who aren't looking for a full meal but don't want to drink on an empty stomach. Here, the appetizer-like options are bread, a wedge salad, and carrots--rabbit food, in other words. Something like tacos, tuna tartare, or deviled eggs would be a godsend and would keep me coming back more often. Since I'm perpetually hungry, I opted for the Chicken Parm. The chicken, which seemed to be breaded and baked, was cooked well. I also enjoyed the tomato sauce and, of course, the cheese. It was a large portion, too--great for those who are extra hungry. The dish reminded me of something I would make at home to impress a date. For context, I'm not a gifted cook, but I can make a mean salmon. While I don't expect every meal out to be eligible for Beat Bobby Flay, it would have been better if something about it felt a step above what I could make myself. Final Thoughts = All that said, Void seems to be the kind of place where I'll eat elsewhere but absolutely stop in afterward for the excellent drinks, friendly service, and splendid vibes.

I finally got to come here for my birthday after wanting to for a really long time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is dark and moody, but not in a pretentious way.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cocktails were delicious and the beer was refreshing. I specifically wanted the Spaghetti Uh-O's and they were even better than I expected. The Beets and Focaccia were amazing as well! Finally, the service was friendly and quick. I will definitely be back soon!

The atmosphere is unique, it transports you to perhaps a satire museum in Florence? The service was attentive. The food was bursting with flavor but is extremely, unforgivably overpriced! We left spending $89 for shrimp toast with two shrimp ( one head was empty completely) , spaghetti O's, one tequila zebra, one wedge salad and a second drink spilled directly allll over my lap. They did take off the drink that was spilled on me. Again the food was delicious! But for the prices I would not recommend this place unless you just want to spend some money for no reason and still leave hungry. It was very empty inside for a Saturday night, so no resy required, we just walked in !

I stopped by this place for a drink. Although I didn't have a reservation, there was plenty of bar seating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the ambiance of this restaurant because it was dark and felt romantic as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For my drink, I went with the Negroni Tre cocktail, it was quite sweet, strong, and very good. The bartender was very attentive and nice and made sure to ask if I was satisfied with my drink.

Another local gem comes to Avondale. Amazing food and drinks. Cocktails are outstanding (heard it was ex- Violet hour program) and wouldn't be surprised if they get a bib gourmand for the food. We had the spaghetti ugh ohs and the sausage and finished with the play on chicken Marsala. Amazing! Feels like an old school Italian American bar. I particularly appreciate the candles in wine bottles like my dad has. Will be back soon.

Very impressed with this experience. First, we had a server who understood the menu and how the dishes complimented each other. My fried chicken Marsala was so delicious everyone must try it. The focaccia bread was an excellent appetizer. The drinks were quirky yet delicious and an adventure of their own. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a little warm and could use more A/C but it was still a nice vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will return and grateful for this restaurant.

Came here for a birthday dinner (table of 8) and the happily accommodated. Interior is a bit eclectic and moody. Food is absolutely delicious. Fav was probably the Gnocchi.

I got the Spaghetti Uh-O's and Seasonal Sundae. I've never had Spaghetti Oh's with al dente pasta, and I wasn't a huge fan growing up. But this version is great. Definitely plan on trying other items on the menu. The seasonal sundae (persimmon and vanilla) was great. I'm a big fan of Asian persimmons, and, to be honest, I prefer Asian desserts that feature persimmons. But this was great. It had a lot of crunch, and the both flavors of ice cream were great.

Although we are from the area, we had never visited before, and the photos immediately caught our attention. The bar fit our vibe perfectly, and after visiting a few times, we knew it was the right place for us. We rented both spaces: the main bar upstairs and Nightshade, the speakeasy downstairs. Moonflower has a small stage in the main bar, which we used for our ceremony. The space already has so much character that it needed very little decorating. We brought small flower vases and an altar piece that the bride and her now mother in law made together. After the ceremony, we held cocktail hour and served food buffet style in the main bar. Later, everyone moved downstairs to Nightshade. Its lounge atmosphere and dance floor were perfect for our 50 to 60 guests. Some people relaxed around the cocktail tables while others danced, so everyone could enjoy the night in their own way. Moonflower's event organizer, Morgan, was wonderful. She made the entire planning process feel easy and was a joy to work with. She helped turn our ideas into reality, assisting with day of logistics, décor, beverage packages, and every question that came up. She was always responsive and available. Morgan also helped us think through details that had not occurred to us, including coffee for our guests, explaining the parking situation, contacting nearby businesses about using their lots, and recommending DJs. We ultimately hired one of the DJs she suggested. Her extra support was incredibly helpful and took a great deal of stress out of planning. If you have not tried Moonflower's drinks, you are missing out. Their regular cocktail menu is fantastic, and our experience was even more special because of a custom cocktail session with Zach. He created signature drink options for each of us based on our tastes and favorite cocktails. Every option was spectacular, and the final drinks felt personal and special. We chose Funeral Potatoes for the food. Since they already handle the food at Moonflower, we were able to try many dishes beforehand. Our guests raved about everything. We especially recommend the brussels sprouts, deviled eggs, and caprese sandwiches. Alexis, who heads up Funeral Potatoes, was also extremely helpful with selecting the menu. The only outside food we brought in was our wedding cake. The entire staff was phenomenal. Everyone treated the occasion with the perfect balance of care, professionalism, and fun. The night went off without a hitch and was truly one of the best nights of our lives. Moonflower was also extremely reasonable compared with other venues we considered in the city, especially with an open bar and food available on site. Street parking was plentiful, and none of our guests had trouble finding a spot. For anyone looking for a relaxed wedding for 50 to 60 people with a memorable lounge atmosphere, fantastic staff, buffet style food, and exceptional cocktails, Moonflower should be at the top of your list.

Will come back, definitely with someone else.

However I think the holiday spirit got to him a couple of weeks ago because he took me to Consignment which is one of he and his wife's faves. The service was awesome - I always love chopping it up with Black bartenders - and the crowd was very very queer. I was legitimately in heaven. So much doesn't feel safe right now - especially with the J6 goon squad running amok in Chicago trafficking people. It was nice to be among my people enjoying great drinks in a buzzy atmosphere. Because we are old, we got there by 730 on a Saturday and surprisingly it was already packed! Patience won the day though and within 45 minutes we snagged some stools against the wall.
