    Havana chicken skewers

I finally made it here on a random Thursday evening. I had 6pm reservs, which was unnecessary b/c it was so early but I can see why you would need them on a regular basis. It is a tight spot but has a chill speakeasy vibe. We got to decide where to sit and we sat a the table instead of the bar. However, if you sit at the bar you can order the pizza from the front of the speakeasy. We decided next time we would sit at the bar to try the pizza. Anywho, I was surprise by the small cocktail offering. I expected more than 4 specialty cocktails for a cocktail spot. Hence the 4 stars. BUT- they do a have a full bar and the bartender made me a Last Word and it was delicious! For food I had the chicken skewers, moro,& maduro. Very flavorful. I do plan on coming back during a weekend to see how that vibe is.

such a cute speakeasy! you walk into the pizza shop and walk straight towards the back. It is pretty small inside but super cute vibes when you go in. We went on a Friday night around 7 and it wasn't very busy. The service was great and super attentive. The music was also great (spanish music). The ceviche was really good and the yuca fries as well. I just wish there was a bigger portion.

Chill vibes, great drinks, and a live DJ make this spot the perfect place to unwind. The cocktails are top-notch, and the music sets the mood just right. Didn't try the food, but it looked good. Perfect for a laid-back night out! Or dress up date. One server at the floor doing his thing, very attentive and friendly

If you can deal with the long lines and chaotic ordering process, you'll be rewarded with some deliciously tender Brisket, super savory Longaniza, and incredibly rich Chicharron. We had to wait an extra 20 min for a new batch of Mac 'n' Cheese to be ready, but the big serving and ooey-gooey nature earned our forgiveness. Throw in the ample seating that's a specialty of non-Manhattan BBQ joints, and you've got a great spot for a casual dinner. Not sure I'd schlep out here just for Bark, but I'm not mad we tried it.

Arrived around 4:45 on Saturday afternoon. There was a long line, but I had no idea how slow it would be. An hour and a half later made it to the counter. No Beef ribs, No chicken, no sausage. Only Brisket and Pork belly. Maybe with their new store they don't have enough product for both. The Brisket was very good. The Dominican spices made the bark worth while. Had Mac 'n cheese and Cole Slaw as sides. The Mac 'n cheese was excellent, and I don't usually like Mac 'n cheese. The Cole slaw was inedible. Just cabbage and a spice. Just dry and gritty. We had one bite each and tossed it. And of course because it is in the Time Out Market there was virtually no seating. More than half the seating was people holding space, no food no drinks. We approached a spot and a guy said the seat was taken. There were two chairs so he said we could have one. Finished our food and left. The other person never showed up. Holding space for an hour and a half? They need to force people to buy something if they are going to sit.

Went on a Friday with no reservations. They were super kind and fast with service. I came in hungry and order a ton - I had the tostone rellenos and ensalado del puerto. They hit! The tostone was creative, elegant and best bite of the evening. The salad had so much veggies and was very fresh the dressing it comes with is vibrant and lime-y. Great start to a meal. I had Churrasco which came with yellow rice and black beans. It was incredible, and I always get a tad scared with skirt steaks being overcooked but it was the perfect medium with grilled marks. The chimichurri was great too. I am nit-picking here but a little more salt and pepper on everything would of been great. Don't come with out having the sangria, they pack a punch!

I could not pick a favorite between the two things I got. The guy working the high tops was very nice and was the one who recommended the sandwich to me. I will definitely be back to try more dishes here.

That set the tone of attentive service, which continued throughout an exceptional meal in Bath Beach. This area is busy, in a locals doing their thing kind of way. It's a real neighborhood, and La Chacra is a great reason to check it out. We initially had decided on ordering the Combo La Chacra, which consists of a whole rotisserie chicken, yellow rice with red beans, an avocado salad, an order of salchipapas, and an order of maduros. We added an extra half chicken, and thought "that's a wrap". However, there was an appetizer special of thinly sliced octopus prepared Peruvian style that needed to be ordered too. The service was excellent. Not overwhelming, but just right. Dishes were cleared, napkins replaced, straw wrappers taken away as soon as they hit the table. It's not something that I'm used to writing about, but needed to be said. And then, the food. It was outstanding. Compared to both the basic, and the high end Peruvian restaurants that I've been to throughout the city, La Chacra is far and away the best. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and felt intentional. Nothing was just thrown on a plate. As full as we were, and we were quite full, there was no way that we were leaving without trying something from the desert menu. Another wise choice, as both the flan and the tres leche cake were fantastic. To wrap this one up, this spot is a solid five stars. The prices are very reasonable and the food, service, and charming atmosphere will have us returning soon.
