This restaurant is only about four blocks from my apartment, so it was the perfect spot to celebrate a graduation with a group of 15. My husband had stopped by beforehand to speak with a manager about making reservations, but never heard back. Since they don't open until later in the day, it was difficult reaching someone by phone. Thankfully, I reached out through Instagram and was able to confirm our reservation for 15 people at 3 PM. We called around 3:05 PM to make sure they were open, arrived around 3:15 PM, and were seated right away. The table was already set with ice-cold water and cups, which was a nice touch. Since it was a Wednesday, they had some great specials including empanada and wing deals, all-day happy hour margaritas for $10, and $4 house shots. Most of our group took advantage of those deals. I tried the passion fruit margarita and enjoyed it, although some others felt it was a little too sweet. We definitely ordered several of the house shots as well. Three people ordered the picadera platter to share, and it was large enough for about four people to enjoy comfortably. I ordered the canoa, a sweet plantain stuffed with ground beef and cheese. It came with sour cream already on it, which I wasn't expecting, but the flavor was still good. I would have preferred it served on the side. I appreciated that the kids' sodas were served in cups with lids and straws instead of cans. My father-in-law ordered the pork chops and enjoyed them. One of my sons ordered wings and empanadas. The wings were tasty, but the empanadas were disappointing because they barely had any meat filling. A friend ordered the chicharrón bites served over a large plantain with guacamole and really liked them. One thing that surprised us was the price of a tequila sunrise. It wasn't part of the happy hour menu, and when the bill came it was $18 per drink, which felt pretty expensive. The restaurant itself was clean, the staff was friendly, and the bathrooms were spacious and well-maintained. They also offer hookah, but because we had children at our table, they asked our family member to move to another table to smoke, which I thought was a thoughtful decision. For dessert, two of the kids ordered churros with ice cream and absolutely loved them. The graduate received a slice of tres leches cake and enjoyed that as well. Overall, the experience was pleasant. My biggest complaint was that our food did not come out at the same time. Some people had finished eating before others even received their meals, which was frustrating for such a large group. The drinks were decent, and the food was a bit hit-or-miss depending on what was ordered. I'd say it was about 50/50 on whether people loved their meals. Despite a few issues, I would definitely give this place another try and order something different next time read more

Came for Taco Tuesdays and sat at the bar. Full bar. It was around 7pm so no wait. Plenty of dining space. Good vibes. Bartender Alex was cool. I opted for two shrimp and one fish tacos which were good. I also orered later on Lemon Pepper wings; also good. For drinks I had a frozen coconut margarita bucket. My friend had the regular mango. Nice place. From outside it looks closed but when you enter it comes alive. There's 2 sides. A bar area and a sit down area. There was a live DJ, i was there on Saturday around 3pm..ish. Food was good and plentiful. The plates were huge. Music was hype lol. It was crowded but it was comfortable. Brunch is from 12-4pm. I got there at 3:30 and was told brunch was over? I found it a bit weird considering there was still 30 minutes left. I came with my two sisters and we got a decent table. The place is small and the layout , in my opinion is weird. You have one side, which is where the DJ is , and then another side where you can still hear the music but it's a bit farther from the DJ. We wanted to sit by the DJ but there was no more room. That's what they told us. The place is pretty and very beautifully decorated. It's nice for pictures and just to sit and chill. This place specializes in Puerto Rican food. So us , being Puerto Ricans of course are looking forward to it.. lol. The spot had a decent menu and it was hard for me to pick what I wanted. ( which is a good sign) we ordered two appetizers to share and then our meals. My sisters went simple and got the rice and beans with bistec encebollado (steak with onions). I did get a tase and it was delicious. I ordered something that happen to be on the brunch menu, I asked my server if I was allowed to get that and he said yes. (After i was told brunch was over) I did get the rum punch as well since I was just being charged for the brunch price at that point. *Side note- the miscommunication about brunch, was a bit of a turn off. Although my sever was a sweet heart and he answered my questions very nicely and professionally. I ordered the Bori Burger which was the equivalent to a Tripleta. The burger itself was really good. A lot of flavor specially the pork in it. It was good. Except you don't put cherry tomatoes on a burger.. Besides this, honestly, I'd love to come back. The vibe was good and the food was great. In fact when we ordered the happy hour mojitos they told us it's the least ordered drinks. That should've been an indication but we didn't listen. My lomo saltado was very soy sauce heavy but it wasn't the worst I've had but the mofongo just lacked flavor and color. We told her and the "manager" of the situation and their reply was they have no control over the phone issue. The host had a nasty attitude, sucked her teeth and shooed us away. Apparently the number 929-704-8817 is not direct to the establishment which makes no sense because how is the customer suppose to communicate for any inquiries? We spent another 15mins or so going back and forth with the "manager". I walked towards the back of the restaurant and there were a few empty tables. Working customer service I learned you always attend to the customer that is there at the moment because that's definite business. Who's to say your next party is actually gonna show up? The "manager" sat us at a random table which felt more like a "just to shut you up" kinda feel. We got up and left, won't be spending our money there. Stop advertising a number that's non-responsive. This place is LGBT Puerto Rican Owned which was amazing to experience and they made me and my girlfriend feel welcomed. The place is a bit small and can get busy as we had to wait for a seat. They stay promoting on IG. Like most advertisement, the pictures and videos on IG are better than the in person experience. I arrived at 6:15 on a Thursday. I was greeted and seated. No one was in the entire establishment. The bar is first about 10 stools for seating at the actual bar. Then extended bar seating along a wall with 6 more stools. As you get towards the back There's an open space in the middle on the right. It splits the restaurant down the middle. The DJ is there along the far right wall and the bathroom is on the left wall. There's a long both with maybe 20-25 seats along the wall with the DJ. If you go straight to the back. On the left are two 2 top tables. On the right was long both with tables and chairs, that add seating for 14 more people. Restaurant seats a maximum of 50-55 people. QR code for the menu. Automatic 18% gratuity on all party sizes. The music wasn't what I thought it was going to be. They advertise Thursdays as ladies night. They played mad old school 80's hip hop and R&B, some 90's, 2000's r& b and house music. Thursdays felt like oldies night. Which when leaving we found it, it was. But IG says differently. There was a DJ. Service was meh. The server checked on us once on her own. We had to keep flagging her down. Never asked how things were. Wasn't friendly. Didn't earn her 18% for sure. Definitely needed more than one server and one bartender for the whole establishment. Food was meh. Happy hour is different everyday 3-8 pm. For Thursday, Tacos, quesadillas, guacamole and chips, mozzarella sticks and empanadas were discounted. $10 house drinks, margaritas and mojitos. $12 frozen margaritas, $5 house shots and beers. Nothing was worth more than what was paid. So happy we got it for a discount. Tacos were like if you made tacos at home and wasn't authentic in flavor. Chicken and steak were the options 2 for $7. Mozzarella sticks had a nice cheese pull, marinara sauce was good 7 for $6. Empanadas were decent 2 for $6. I personally make better. But I wasn't mad at them at all. They were flavorful. Chicken and beef are the options. Those menu items deterred me from ordering something more expensive on the entree menu. The drinks were absolute joke. Tasted of straight juice. Not worth it at all. Plus $10 for a house tequila drink isn't really a discount. I go to another spot where the house happy hour margaritas are $8 and they strong af and have better flavor. They use syrups for their flavoring and they are way toooo sweet. I tasted 0 tequila in any of the drinks, we ordered. We tried hibiscus, tamarind, coconut, pineapple and passion fruit. The coconut was the least sweet. We ordered shots on the side which helped a little. The non happy hour price of $14 is a joke. I'm usually a Don Julio, patron margarita girl but after tasting the house one. I wasn't paying $18 for them to play in my face. Our bill was over $156 with tax and tip. The atmosphere of this place is very nice music was really good, the ambience was really nice as well, but the food was very mid. I ordered the lemon pepper wings they were over fried. The barria mac and cheese tasted really watery and the meat was undercooked. Service was okay though. The frozen drinks could have been stronger and bigger for the price. They advertised a Cinco De Mayo special on their social media. My friend and I arrived around 5pm expecting to have to wait a long time to get in because of the holiday. We waited on line, there was no security or staff telling people how long the wait is, to put their names down, there wasn't any order. Finally after about standing on a line that no one knew the process or why we were standing we see a worker and she is taking down names on her phone in the notes section with their table size. So once we finally got our names down. there still wasn't any direction, there were people waiting on the line while others were coming from the back want in putting their names down and walking away. So at this point the girl who was taking names down isn't puttig names in order of who came in or who is waiting. She is taking names and telling them to stay on line, creating a bunch of confusion. Another worker comes out at this point we have been there for two hours and she is screaming for people to get out the restaurant that's waiting in front. We were sitting down in the bench in the waiting area and she made everyone leave and stand outside, closed the door in our faces and said that "she can't help anyone until we get outside." Once everyone was outside she closed the door in our faces and locked it, didn't help not one person m. The owner wasn't helping she was wearing a mask and a carried around a big flag walking around partying and was drunk, the workers kept saying that she was drunk that's why she wasn't much help. As the manager is partying she makes her way outside where now it's just a big crowd no more lines and everyone is hovering around the door, moves through all the black people finds a Spanish family grabs their hands and has them skip through everyone that was waiting and brings them inside. So now everyone is upset and asking them how they are skipping all the people that have been there. Through the 2 hours and 45 minutes I was there I seen different groups of Spanish girls get to skip the line and go inside while there were many black and brown people standing outside for hours. When it was brought to their attention the owner claimed to know them and didn't care, the girl with the ombré hair who was screaming and pushing people out being very rude continued her behavior. They kept saying that the reason it was taking long is because they had serval tables that were done eating and drinking and were still sitting around and they were "trying" to get them up. They had children in the back of all ages while there are people around smoking and drinking, they don't create time limits on table to have a consistent flow, the staff is very rude except for the small girl who was taking peoples names down, the staff is very rude if you aren't on the lighter side and Spanish. I don't think that it's wise to advertise something and you don't have the staff or the capacity to hold such an event. After waiting for so long they then closed it down and said they were having a private party. Overall very unprofessional and a terrible first impression on those who have never been. The staff wasn't apologetic and doesn't even care. If you aren't Spanish and light I wouldn't recommend wasting your time especially on a special occasion. Also if you aren't comfortable with smoking around children then I wouldn't recommend either because they have no age limit even though it says 21plus.
