    Karaoke Sundays !
    A V.

Catering, wow! We got a spread of tacos carnitas, veggie, and chicken from The Deep End for a 30-person picnic in the park, and what amazing compliments we got! I'm Mexican, so have very high standards for tacos in NYC. As a Mexican-owned restaurant, they definitely delivered! They even brought their own hot pan to help warm the tortillas. These were certainly a hit! Added a photo from one of their karaoke Sundays for fun. Also a blast and v warm, community and LGBTQ+ friendly feel. Highly recommend!

Had no idea what to expect when we wandered in here, but it was delightful. We ended up here on karaoke night and while we didn't sing, we had definitely had fun listening to everyone else. This is a pretty basic neighborhood bar, but the food was surprisingly good. My husband and I got a selection of deep fried bar bites and they were all good. We tried the Onion Rings, Chicken Fingers, and Jalapeño Poppers and enjoyed all of it. This is a small bar, and apparently pretty popular, so you may have to wait a few, but it's worth it and definitely a fun night out.

Came here during the Autumn Tippler event to try their signature cocktail, The Bad Hombre. My first time ever trying a jalapeño infused cocktail and it was delicious!!! I also ended up ordering the fried pickles to go along with my alcoholic beverage. The pickles were crunchy and juicy ( perfection). I stayed long enough to finish my drink and to order a burger to go. Only outdoor seating was available and the weather was chilly ( not quite enjoyable for me.... after all I'm a summer baby). While I waited for the burger to cook. I decided to redeem the check in offer of a free shot to warm myself up. Definitely was needed. Overall my short stay was good I believe I would have stayed longer if the weather had been nicer. Would recommend if the cool weather does not faze you.

My beer battered fish tacos. One completely upside down and the other hanging out of the box.

I ordered from delivery on Seamless so this review is reflective of that. I ordered 2 beer battered fish tacos and a side of chips and guac. Fish Tacos came with the box dented. Once taco was hanging out of the box the other one was completely flipped upside down with its contents spilled out (see pic). The tacos tasted pretty good. Comparable to Tacombi which you have to go into the city for. My only complaint was there was more batter than fish in the taco which after the way it was delivered further ruined the experience for me. Chips and guac was good. Guac is nothing super amazing on its own but it is tasty (I added cayenne and some more salt and it was poppin) and they give you a ton of chips that are fresh so definitely worth the value and I can appreciate that aspect. Overall I'm not sure I would order delivery again from here even though the food is tasty. Tacos were salvagable but I would hate to see what a burger would look like.

To the best bartender, Ariana! Awesome drinks and definitely good veggie burger with curly fries, cant wait to try this place again! Stop by and follow them @deependnyc on instagram to see their drag queen shows and other events!

First time here, I was not disappointed with ambience, service, quality of food or quality of menu. Will be back & I'm hopeful it wasn't a fluke first impression (: I got the veg burger w cheddar cheese! The buns they use are really fluffy and crunchy at the same time. Maybe brioche? And also the goat cheese balls.. (will be back especially for those) They came w a side of honey and gorrrllll its over

My steak was juicy and pink, just the way I like it, the potatoes were seasoned really well and they weren't over or undercooked and the caesar salad had the perfect dressing to salad ratio. I would say that I was a little thrown off by the confusing and out of place the playlist seemed to be considering the vibe of the restaurant and the kind of food being served. Being someone who fancies a good burger on occasion, I decided to check it out, and was not disappointed. On Tuesdays they offer a $20 burger and beer special. The burger was flavorful, and cooked to a perfect medium rare as I asked. If I had a small gripe, I would have preferred fries to chips on the side, but the chips were pretty good. The overall atmosphere here was cool. I'm not a horror enthusiast by any stretch, but the decor was unique and made for an experience that you don't get at many other places. The bartender (Ellie?) was very nice, and made me feel welcome, which some bars don't often do for first time customers. I'll be back in the not too distant future.

Came here for an early dinner - the servers are amazing and they do a great job! Please tip well they are an asset. This is horror movie themed. Goth themed the music not so much at least when I was there. I would have loved to select music for them that is really goth. I loved all the servers aesthetics when I was there. Burgers were really good a bit too pink in the middle but they can put it back in for you if you wanted cooked a little more. Fried artichokes well These were marinated artichokes that were fried and were too stringy so not a fan of those. Chips were too brown as if they were left in the oil too long or the oil was too hot- Arugula was fresh and good. Good Hot Toddy! Dessert was a miss that chocolate skull felt like it was in the refrigerator too long. The bar is really pretty lit up in red with a coffin on top - I wish I could match the music to that whole theme though - If an owner comes across this please contact me if you want me to play up the goth music for you - I have wonderful playlists and would elevate your business - and make the staff bear through it all - would love to see this business flourish so much potential - it needs a more dark romantic take to set the mood like music at a goth club -

I ordered the short ribs and the five-onion soup again, and both were excellent. The service was spot-on and impressively quick--my food arrived in under 15 minutes. The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. The beautiful flowers add such a nice touch (as I mentioned in my previous review). While it's not fully upscale, it has an elevated, sophisticated vibe that makes you want to dress up for the occasion. Highly recommended!

Well, at least business was "Blooming" due to Mother's Day reservations…read more All jokes aside, I visited this restaurant yesterday for a Mother's Day brunch with a group of eight others. Our reservation had been confirmed the day before by both our host and the restaurant. When I arrived early, I was surprised to find the place jam-packed and clearly overcrowded. The front-of-house staff, along with the presumed owner, seemed overwhelmed and initially could not locate our 12:00 reservation. There were also guests with 11:30 and later reservations that were still waiting to be seated, along with several other groups scheduled around our time. After waiting nearly 50 minutes, talking with others who were also waiting, and watching two other tables be hastily set up and filled, we were finally seated. The table had been quickly wiped down and set with placemats, but it was missing silverware and several glasses. Most of this was resolved fairly quickly, though two people still never received glasses, with one person asking a few times for one. Our clearly overworked waitress brought us water and eventually took our order after a shorter additional wait. I ordered a $6 cappuccino, which was enjoyable, with a moderate amount of foam and a pleasantly bitter flavor without tasting over-roasted. However, another person's $4.50 iced coffee did not seem worth the price, as it appeared to be no more than a 12-ounce glass and was mostly filled with ice. Outside of coffee, the staff was understandably slow with water, with long waits, and we finally got a pitcher near the end of the meal. For my meal, I chose the $16 Poached Browns, which included two poached eggs, pulled pork, an English muffin, hollandaise sauce, and their Bloom hash. Many minutes later, and I mean many, the eggs were properly poached and were the highlight of the dish. The pulled pork, served without any additional sauce, was dry, and the small amount of hollandaise did little to help. The hash on the side lacked crispiness and vegetables, aside from what might have been a tiny piece of chopped yellow pepper. Overall, it was below average but passable. Two others ordered the Make Your Own Omelette for $19, which comes with a choice of three ingredients, the same hash, and bacon. They made two specific requests, both of which our waitress confirmed: first, that they did not want bacon, and second, that they could substitute fries for the hash--regular fries for one person and sweet potato fries for the other. Despite this, both plates arrived with bacon, as you can see in my first photo, where one of them transferred her bacon to my plate. The other person sent her plate back and ended up receiving her Mother's Day meal well after everyone else. The omelette also looked a bit more like a frittata, which I didn't mind. After waiting a while, including finally getting pitchers of water, we finally left after a long and annoying bunch. If this spot indeed had reservation issues, why on earth were they still allowing walk-ins? Why did they tell people it would take 15-20 minutes to seat when it would clearly take 30+? This entire experience was inept from beginning to end. The food this time is closer to a 2, but our experience as a whole was closer to a 1. I would never go back.

Every staff member was super young--barely legal or not even. Every interaction felt like staff were practicing their lines, playing a role in a play, and us, customers, were just cast. Waiters and buss boys were speaking to us like we were dumb/deaf/on the spectrum/high/drunk. It was so disconcerting. Never had such weird experience. Made me so uncomfortable. We were the first ones in the door with 11am reservation on a Saturday. The place filled up quickly. High noise level. Not the best for large groups. The burgers sell out quickly, as only 68 are prepared daily, so we snagged those right away. So delicious. Double smashed cheeseburger--simple and satisfying. Very rich. Would return for this again. French toast was disappointing. Looked pretty but tasted of nothing. It wasn't French toast in a traditional preparation: it was bread pudding cut into a slice and drizzled with syrup and served French toast style. The texture was of a moist but bland bread pudding. Utterly disappointing. Skip. War potatoes (crispy potatoes that are served as a side, with a dollop of super spicy sauce) were very tasty. Double or triple fried to a crispy perfection. Love me some perfectly crisp potatoes. These are super caloric, so prepare for some heartburn after. Ask for war sauce on the side because it is SPICY. House made pistachio gelato was superb.
