    Karaoke Sundays !
    A V.

Catering, wow! We got a spread of tacos carnitas, veggie, and chicken from The Deep End for a 30-person picnic in the park, and what amazing compliments we got! I'm Mexican, so have very high standards for tacos in NYC. As a Mexican-owned restaurant, they definitely delivered! They even brought their own hot pan to help warm the tortillas. These were certainly a hit! Added a photo from one of their karaoke Sundays for fun. Also a blast and v warm, community and LGBTQ+ friendly feel. Highly recommend!

Had no idea what to expect when we wandered in here, but it was delightful. We ended up here on karaoke night and while we didn't sing, we had definitely had fun listening to everyone else. This is a pretty basic neighborhood bar, but the food was surprisingly good. My husband and I got a selection of deep fried bar bites and they were all good. We tried the Onion Rings, Chicken Fingers, and Jalapeño Poppers and enjoyed all of it. This is a small bar, and apparently pretty popular, so you may have to wait a few, but it's worth it and definitely a fun night out.

Came here during the Autumn Tippler event to try their signature cocktail, The Bad Hombre. My first time ever trying a jalapeño infused cocktail and it was delicious!!! I also ended up ordering the fried pickles to go along with my alcoholic beverage. The pickles were crunchy and juicy ( perfection). I stayed long enough to finish my drink and to order a burger to go. Only outdoor seating was available and the weather was chilly ( not quite enjoyable for me.... after all I'm a summer baby). While I waited for the burger to cook. I decided to redeem the check in offer of a free shot to warm myself up. Definitely was needed. Overall my short stay was good I believe I would have stayed longer if the weather had been nicer. Would recommend if the cool weather does not faze you.

My beer battered fish tacos. One completely upside down and the other hanging out of the box.

I ordered from delivery on Seamless so this review is reflective of that. I ordered 2 beer battered fish tacos and a side of chips and guac. Fish Tacos came with the box dented. Once taco was hanging out of the box the other one was completely flipped upside down with its contents spilled out (see pic). The tacos tasted pretty good. Comparable to Tacombi which you have to go into the city for. My only complaint was there was more batter than fish in the taco which after the way it was delivered further ruined the experience for me. Chips and guac was good. Guac is nothing super amazing on its own but it is tasty (I added cayenne and some more salt and it was poppin) and they give you a ton of chips that are fresh so definitely worth the value and I can appreciate that aspect. Overall I'm not sure I would order delivery again from here even though the food is tasty. Tacos were salvagable but I would hate to see what a burger would look like.

First time here, I was not disappointed with ambience, service, quality of food or quality of menu. Will be back & I'm hopeful it wasn't a fluke first impression (: I got the veg burger w cheddar cheese! The buns they use are really fluffy and crunchy at the same time. Maybe brioche? And also the goat cheese balls.. (will be back especially for those) They came w a side of honey and gorrrllll its over

I don't think so, but in the area I would say there are a few gay bars around.

I'm usually more of a smash burger kind of guy, but the steakhouse style burger was quite flavorful. My only complaint about the burger is that it had no sauce or condiments at all on it. The bacon mac and cheese was also quite nice. The bad: It was pretty overheated in the restaurant, and really humid. The only thing in the restaurant to help with the heat was one big fan at the back. Unfortunately, it was blowing directly on one table of guests back there, and not really doing much for the rest of the people in the restaurant.

Being someone who fancies a good burger on occasion, I decided to check it out, and was not disappointed. On Tuesdays they offer a $20 burger and beer special. The burger was flavorful, and cooked to a perfect medium rare as I asked. If I had a small gripe, I would have preferred fries to chips on the side, but the chips were pretty good. The overall atmosphere here was cool. I'm not a horror enthusiast by any stretch, but the decor was unique and made for an experience that you don't get at many other places. The bartender (Ellie?) was very nice, and made me feel welcome, which some bars don't often do for first time customers. I'll be back in the not too distant future.

The staff at reception and at the table were attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Food-wise, we tried the Kung Pao calamari and wagyu meatballs after seeing other reviewers rave about them, but both felt a little gimmicky to me. Our group mostly stuck with more traditional brunch items, including breakfast burritos and omelettes, and those were fine. Every staff member was super young--barely legal or not even. Every interaction felt like staff were practicing their lines, playing a role in a play, and us, customers, were just cast. Waiters and buss boys were speaking to us like we were dumb/deaf/on the spectrum/high/drunk. It was so disconcerting. Never had such weird experience. Made me so uncomfortable. We were the first ones in the door with 11am reservation on a Saturday. The place filled up quickly. High noise level. Not the best for large groups. The burgers sell out quickly, as only 68 are prepared daily, so we snagged those right away. So delicious. Double smashed cheeseburger--simple and satisfying. Very rich. Would return for this again. French toast was disappointing. Looked pretty but tasted of nothing. It wasn't French toast in a traditional preparation: it was bread pudding cut into a slice and drizzled with syrup and served French toast style. The texture was of a moist but bland bread pudding. Utterly disappointing. Skip. War potatoes (crispy potatoes that are served as a side, with a dollop of super spicy sauce) were very tasty. Double or triple fried to a crispy perfection. Love me some perfectly crisp potatoes. These are super caloric, so prepare for some heartburn after. Ask for war sauce on the side because it is SPICY. House made pistachio gelato was superb. So many pistachios--I'd eat this daily and would return for this!
