Had a watch that I had not been able to set correctly. It sat in a drawer for a long time, been a few years since I had been able to wear it. Stopped in and was only asked if I had more shopping to do. After about 15 minutes my watch was ready to be worn. So, if you have a watch that you aren't wearing because of whatever reason, check these guys out. I took my favorite watch in for repair here based on the solid reviews. Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience. Once I dropped it off and explained what it was doing, the individual said that they would take a look at it and call me later with an estimate for the repair. A week later, I hadn't heard a word, so I called. I was told that my particular watch was made overseas in Japan, so the parts are quite hard to come by and when they found the parts they would call with the estimate. Another week goes by and nothing. Finally, I drove up to the mall to retrieve my watch during the 3rd week of them having the watch and still no phone call. A gentleman greeted me and found my watch. He said that they "just found the parts and the estimate to fix is was $144." None of this made sense to me especially with the fact that I was having to chase them for any answers at all. I asked to have my watch back and that I'd try another repair establishment for a second opinion. I took it then to A-1 and the man there fixed my watch in 10 minutes! Didn't need any parts AT ALL! He charged me $6. I don't know what is up with the repair shop here in the mall, but they either are way too busy and can't keep track of the watches they have in for repair or tried to take me for $144! I lost the crown on my wristwatch and brought the watch to be repaired. The "technician" at the counter told me to leave the watch and they would order the part, and he would contact me in "a couple of days". Two weeks of total silence went by - I called 5 times, left my name and phone number as well as the reason I was calling. Finally on the sixth time the tech answered and informed me that the owner (apparently the only person there who can fix a watch) had gone on vacation to Thailand for six weeks! I picked up my watch and went somewhere else. I will NOT return to this store and highly recommend that you do NOT do business with them, or you might be treated the same. PS. the "tech" could barely contain his anger and did not understand why this is not the way to treat customers. read more

I have collected antique watches, mostly from the 19th century, for about 25 years. Finding a capable watchmaker these days is becoming more and more difficult. I used this shop a couple of decades ago (to repair a Waltham Model 1883 Crescent St grade pocket watch) and was quite satisfied. Many of my watches have sat in a safety deposit box for over a decade until quite recently. Recently I decided I needed to display my watches and restore (AND MAINTAIN) my watches in running order. To do this I've had to prioritize and evaluate their condition. Last summer, I took one particular watch to this shop, a Waltham Model 1892, Vanguard grade pocket watch with 19 ruby, sapphire and diamond jewels. I must say, I was a bit concerned about the time (many months) it was taking to perform service. When I did receive the watch, it was running beautifully. Though it was not keeping time as well as a watch of this caliber would when new 130 years ago, it was keeping adequate time for it's age and the treatment it has received over those 130 years. Within about a minute a day and probably a bit better if carried rather than displayed. For many months the watchmaker continued to time, regulate and make god knows what adjustments to achieve this performance. The price I was charged was actually lower than the price I was originally quoted too. Don't let the mall location fool you. For repairs of antique and vintage watches they are more than capable! They are one of only three repair shops in Tucson that I am comfortable with to work on my watches. read more

Took my daughter's nursing watch here today after it stopped working and the uniform store told me it was probably the battery.....despite it being only 3 weeks old. I came in and told him my problem and that I needed to purchase a watch battery and have him change it out for me. The gentleman working today was happy to open up the watch and take a look. Guess what? The battery is perfect. :-/ He closed it up and got the watch to work but told me if it stopped again, it's a faulty watch and I should return it for a refund. Asked him what I owe for his time and trouble and he said nothing. "All I did was take a look at it." Great customer service. read more

Don't waste your money at this place. I stopped in two months ago to inquiete about getting a battery replaced on my Tag Heur Link time piece and the older gentlemen working told me to come back in 15 minutes. I left and came back and when I got back, the gentlemen said the battery was free. I asked why. He said that since it was the first time getting the battery replaced I got it for free. I was super happy and excited about it. Well fast forward to today. My watch stopped working. I attempted to move the dial to set the time and discovered the little knob that turns to set the time and day is broken. The store broke my watch and neglected to tell me this. Hence why the battery was free. This Watch is a sentimental gift I received from someone that means so much to me. I am so sad and upset and will never go back to that shop. read more

Brought my vintage watch here to have the glass face replaced. I was told the job would be done in a week. I call a week later, they say the part isn't in yet, that it will be another week. I call another week later, again I get the same excuse. After a whole month of waiting and being told the part was "not in yet" I finally decided to pick it up and take it somewhere else. When I picked it up, the face was turned upside down. I took it back in for them to fix the mistake they made and magically the original part (the glass face) had arrived, so I left it there. TWO WEEKS LATER I got it back. And guess what, now it's not working. I called and complained and they said it was my fault. I've tried getting a hold of the manager, but the employees keep giving me the run around. I've had this watch for years and it worked beautifully. They have the watch for a month and a half, and it suddenly stops working. And now they want to charge me $70 to fix the watch they broke. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I would stay away from this place for jewelry repairs as well. I had an antique diamond ring with a center sapphire stone sized here (before the watch incident). Not only did the guy that works there not recognize a rose cut diamond, he told me the sapphire was fake. I took it to a certified gemologist who confirmed the stone was indeed a sapphire. Oh yeah and they kept messing up the size of my ring so in the end it had to be re-sized 3 times before they got it right. Please, save yourself the hassle of dealing with these people who are either completely incompetent or are intentionally breaking things so you will have to pay more. read more

I waked in this place January 4th 2019 because of the reviews they had. I had high hopes for them regarding my Christmas present that was passed down from a family member. The watch was a gift and it needed some serious repair, a new capacitor (battery) and an extra link. I knew that it would take time to get the pieces required to fix it and I knew it would take weeks maybe even a month to get it repaired. Little did I know that they were going to be closing due to management reasons for over 3-4 weeks. I tried to be understandable but there was no communication within the owner and client to let me know when they would re-open or how long I would have to wait. They originally told me that it would take 2-3 weeks to repair my watch and they even gave me an estimate. During the period that they were closed I didn't hear from them and when they did reopen a month later they didn't even try to get in contact with me. It's now early February and I give them a call they tell me that they're going to contact the maker for the parts missing. They never called me back after that. I went in with my partner February 14th to pick up the watch, I was tired of waiting over a month to hear back from them. At this point I just wanted my item back and the shop associate looked for a couple minutes and then came out to tell us that they didn't have it in the store. I was baffled as to why I was never given a single update about the watch's location or status. Saturday February 23rd I walk in there and finally get my watch back. Absolutely nothing was done to my watch in the nearly 2 months they had it. February 23rd 2019:I then walked over to FAST FIX Jewelry and Watch Repair, they took my watch in, gave me an honest time limit and quote and 2 days later I get a call that they had my watch fixed. This was my experience at The Watch Repair Shop and I strongly recommend you go somewhere else for a more pleasant experience. read more

I took my watch in to their shop to have the face repaired on it. Told me they would call when it was ready. Never got a call. Went in and asked if it had been repaired? I was told come back in a couple days it will be ready. I come back pay $150 for the repair work. Get home and the watch had not been fixed. Take it back. Told they will call when it is ready. Never called. I called and was told they had to locate the watch. Never called me back. I have called and emailed. No response. I believe they lost my watch. I've used the Watch Repair Shop twice and their service is excellent. Since I live about an hour away there is no real good watch repair place in my local town. I've walked in with watches with dead batteries and they have replaced the battery on the spot and they also include a warranty with it. Over the weekend, I brought in a very inexpensive watch to see if they could take out a link - done in 5 minutes for only $5.00!!!! Wow, that's fast service. I have the exact same watch in another color that I had the link taken out with a shop in my local town and it took them two weeks and $15 to take the link out which was more than the watch cost They said it was a very hard one to do - go figure. The Watch Repair Shop took care of it in 5 minutes and for only $5.00. I have not left merchandise there to be repaired so I cannot speak to that level of service, but with my simple fixes they are very good with service and quality. read more

I ripped my necklace right off my neck , I bent over and it got caught on a metal bar and sliced it in half . I'm used to bringing it to the jewelers in the mall well I found out that they do most of there work for them so I went straight to the source . It cost me half of what it would have if I had brought it to the jeweler , and also at the jeweler it takes about a week and here at the watch shop Ryan had said to me last night give me a half an hour and it will be done ! Ren is a fantastic guy very honest and kind. He admitted a laser would be safer for the complex repair that is needed for a ring I brought to him, and recommended a place to do the work. I also had a women's cuff type bracelet that needed to be straightened. Anyway, I went to Fast Fix and they said the ring repair would be $180 because they claimed I needed a new bezel or the stone would fall out, along with the solder job that I asked for. When I asked about the bracelet they said that would be $30 to bend it back straight. Forget that! I went back to Ren with the bracelet and he helped me straighten it by hand as it is a very soft metal. I wish I didn't sign the agreement at fast fix and just waited until morning to take the ring where Ren suggested, because I felt like they were taking advantage. but in the future, I will be coming back to Ren for my jewelry repairs. read more

This place was the WORST! I brought my watch in for a simple glass face repair and not only was I charged a completely different price than the quote it took over a month to get my watch back. They couldn't find it the first two weeks then I was told it was still being repaired. After finally picking it up the glass was scratched and "there was nothing they could do". After wearing it one time the glass piece fell out, again. I immediately returned it to complain of the repair job when I was informed it was my fault and they would not give me a discount for the second repair, even though it had been two days since I picked it up. I took 3 watches in to get batteries changed. Good customer service but long lines. The signs that hang up tell you the services they offer but no prices. 5 year warranty and I liked how they put a sticker on the inside of the watch so you don't need a receipt. read more

It's a small place located right by Macy's in Park Place mall. Overall a pretty decent place to go. The last time I was here there wasn't a line so service was fairly quick and the price was right. I took in three watches-two needed new batteries (one was a lifetime), one needed to be mounted on a new band with new "pins" to hold it in place, and I needed links taken out of the new band. Total was $12! They are very helpful and quick. The lifetime batteries really are that, and they replace them for free. read more

The watch repair shop is great. Several years ago, I took my uncles watch into the store for a new battery. They fixed it while I waited and told me that the battery had a lifetime warranty, but I didn't really think much about that at the time. However, they really stand behind their warranties. ***DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE A VINTAGE WATCH*** I took in my beautiful old watch passed down in my family from a great uncle that I have meticulously cared for over the years I have owned it. When I think that coming into The Watch Repair Shop to have the band replaced is what did my watch in is just unbelievable. I asked to have the band swapped out and the tool the woman used look like the handle of a spoon. She was having a hard time and I told her if it did't fit that was okay, she just kept going at it. Finally she handed me the watch and each of the 4 lug ends was scratched to hell and one was even dented!! Then she said she could "buff it out". I explained to her that this watch was gold-filled and that it can't be buffed out. She said she was sorry, but was also fairly rude and seemed offended that I was so unhappy. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR WATCH TO POTENTIALLY INCUR DAMAGE FROM AN INCOMPETENT PERSON HANDLING IT. Do yourself and favor and heed this warning!!! I will tell you that any positive reviews you see are most likely phony. This place is stupid expensive. They wanted to charge me $49 to change a battery in my watch. By the way, my watch isn't super fancy either. They said the $49 service includes a pressure check and gasket change, either of which are necessary in my opinion. They told me that a basic battery replacement costs $39. Still WAY too expensive considering that Sears replaces watch batteries for only $12. read more

Basic rundown of what could have been one of my worst days ever. I got my nails done earlier that morning so i took of my wedding set and stuck them into the pocket of my ABUs. Finished my nails, drove back on base to get something to eat pulled my phone out of my pocket and out flies my wedding band. Reflexes had me chasing the spining ring for 2 seconds before I stepped on it like it was a runaway quarter. Lifted my foot and my band looked was crushed and so was I. I hopped on yelp and reviewed a couple of places I could get to really quick. Went to the mall in a panic and the wonderful tattooed gentleman was able to restore my ring. I walked around the mall for 30 minutes, all the while wondering how I was going to explain this and what the heck made me step on my band. Came back and my ring was back in its orginal form, a diamonds in place and good as new and it didnt cost me an arm and a leg. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! read more
