It had a washer and dryer and a kitchen with all the dishes, utensils and cooking pots and pans we needed. We had an ocean front view with a balcony that was wonderful to sit and relax on. We had no issues with noisy neighbors. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had absolutely gorgeous ocean view sunrises and sunsets. We enjoyed the indoor pool, the outdoor hot tub and we played a board game in the resort sunroom with friends. We like the easy beach access. The grounds are well kept. Restaurants, shopping and grocery stores are all conveniently located within a short car ride.

Cars can come from left and right and if you have small children you better be VERY careful. The lobby is on the third floor and you have to go again through the parking garage and they walk through an outside windy terrace to get to the small lobby. There is no front entrance to the building. EVERYTHING is walking through the parking garage smelling gasoline and dealing to caution. No way to spend a vacation. Also the veranda observation room looks beautiful in photos but it is the ugliest in person and needs some fixing up. Again you cannot access the beach from here so back to level one parking garage. A really frustrating and irritating place. I booked three extra weeks and I CANCELLED ALL of them. Better to pay the cancellation fee than deal with this level of stress. People above me were smoking all 5 days of my stay and nothing was done yet Al accused me that my service dog was barking on the balcony at 6 a,m, in the morning. How ridiculous is that when I work from home and I didn't go to sleep until 2 AM in the morning and did not get up until 9 AM in the morning. The dog was sleeping in her own bed which I brought from home in my room with the door closed and everything shut tight .I spoke to someone else about this and they called me a liar but they refused to check the fact that two people snuck their big dogs in the building that were barking and did nothing about it. I am very disappointed with the service here. This is very unprofessional to unfairly accuse someone of noise when I have followed all the rules and not caused any discomfort to anyone. Meanwhile, there's other people who are staying up late, being loud and having dogs in the room that shouldn't be there. I will be leaving a Google review about my terrible experience with your resort. I had two weeks extra reserved and I canceled them and paid $400 cancellation fee. I'd rather do that than stay at a place where you have no respect for your guests.

Inlet sports lodge was a deal and close by so it worked out well. The best idea I had was to also make a reservation at Costa which is their onsite restaurant. You don't need to worry about drinking and the dinner was phenomenal (separate review for Costa coming soon). While I was only there a short time, I could really see that this one off hotel is a great stay. The lady who checked me in was super helpful and got us everything we needed. They sell snacks and alcoholic beverages at the front desk and you can even get 6 packs or bottles of wine. We only had about an hour after the lights to check in and get to dinner so we quickly went to the room and got settled. The first thing you notice is the big wooden doors to the room that look hand carved. The rooms are really spacious and have a full kitchen setup and living room area with a pull out couch too. We missed breakfast, but they do offer something downstairs. We did go up to check out the widows walk on the roof though which would be great to have drinks at the end of the day in the summer. You can see the pool from up there (which we also didn't use because it was december) and it was small but nice. Some of the upgrades seemed out of place, but not in a bad way. More like someone who had a lot of money created this place, but had never built a hotel before so they put money into it in some strange ways. Things like the wooden carved doors, extra shower sprayers, and vessel sinks in the bathroom don't exactly make sense for an affordable stay spot, but are a welcome additions anyway. I can't wait to come back for a longer stay and hopefully warmer weather.

The room was spacious, there were plenty of amenities, and it was conveniently located near Murell's Inlet Marsh Walk and other restaurants. Do check out the widow's walk on the 4th floor; it's a great place to watch the sunset.

The views from this hotel if you stay in the condos are spectacular and the beach is literally a few steps away. The rooms are okay and the service is good. Plenty of restaurants with 3 miles and there is adequate parking.

Very clean and friendly front desk. We did not go to pool area, too many kids. Location was great. Has several places to eat next to it. Great places to get a drink in the evening. You can walk straight onto beach next to pier, no steps. The hotel has a access but old wooden steps with grass around it to use. Would be great to make a ramp instead. Parking good on both sides of hotel. Most of rooms have a ocean view balcony. Elevator on ground floor to check in on 2nd floor. A few vending things and nice sitting area. Negative was they opened up a drain into the ocean after it had rained. So it made it hard to walk the beach. I had never seen this at another beach. They dug trenches down into sand. Definitely spoiled the beach vibe.

Just across the street from Murrells Inlet marsh area. Convinient to lots of things in the area, yet apart from the hustle, bustle and noise. I stayed there at the beginning of Bike Week and had no noise issues. It's not high end, but WELL maintained with upgrades that maintain it's historic charm. Very CLEAN rooms. Prices are competitive, but very reasonable. Saved me some serious cash at an expensive time of the year. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The only drawbacks for me were: 1) that pets are not allowed, but that is great in other ways. 2) for Breakfast you'll need to get in the car or bring in something microwaveable - not really a problem, but something to be aware of. I stayed in one of the motor court rooms that had a little breakfast nook in back with the refrigerator, microwave and table & chair. Don't listen to the 1 star reviews that state it's not safe or put down the furnishings. The furniture is not old and rickety, but in excellent condition and in keeping with the era of the place. I felt VERY safe here as a woman travelling alone and who has put up with some sketchy places before. This isn't one of those at all. I will certainly be staying here when I return to the area.

The one and only complaint is that there were other guests that allowed their children to run up and down the outside corridors well past midnight yelling. If I come back it won't be during Passover, we were told by some of the condo owners the behavior is typical during the holiday.

They also have charcoal grills that we used twice during our week long stay. The property has 2 and 3 bedroom condos. We stayed in a 2 bedroom one. Check in was easy as they use a key pad with a passcode to check into your room. I will say though that the key pad lock was VERY tricky to open and probably needs to be switched out. I booked directly with Anchorage online but I've seen other owners put their condos on airbnb. The pictures online for the condo I booked had a major filter on it because in real person it looked really outdated. Also when I walked in it smelled like old. I don't really know how to explain it but like maybe as if nobody had opened the door in a while to let fresh air in. It had a beachy vibe and decor which I like in vacation rentals however as stated before the decor was outdated. It also felt like a lot of clutter. There was something on every wall and in every corner, it was just overkill in my opinion. My room also had terrible lighting. It was full of lamps however they didn't do much. It wasn't very well lit inside unless I opened the screen door. Not all the condos at Anchorage ll are the same though. Some are a lot nicer but I guess that just depends on the owners. My friend stayed right next to mines but you could tell there were a lot of updates made to that one and was just better maintained. Overall I enjoyed my stay but next time I will definitely book another room

This was one of the worst stays I've ever had somewhere. The primary bathroom shower had hair still…read morein it. Strands on the walls, and ledges. I didn't tell the front desk so they didn't have a chance to correct it, but it should have been clean to start with. The drawers in all of the dressers had hair in them as well, with 1 drawer looking like it had pubic hair! The fridge didn't get cold enough, even on the almost highest setting. The freezer was fine. Most of the staff looked very young and I saw them goofing off in hallways instead of working. Then there was an electrical fire in a condo on our floor that no one was staying in! Thankfully the fire was contained and no one was hurt. Another fire alarm went off on our final night there, but there was no fire. We all went outside at 4:40am just to be told we could go back in. It was very hard to go back to sleep after that. I don't plan on returning. This place has obvious issues.
